Or when their GM told the best young linebacker in the league, or an MVP Runningback that they didn't need them. It's a lot easier to blame a player for leaving in Free Agency, than it is to look at why they have been justified in leaving.

Yeah the yeti are terrible and all of them should quit and any player that ever played on their team should quit and any mention of any player having fun on their team should result in a permaban.

Or maybe the yeti didn't want players on their team that didn't want to be there,
or maybe Applehort thought it would be fun to try free agency and that's how he wanted to spend his time in the sim league,
or maybe we don't know the full story of what is going on in the Yeti locker room.

Without knowing what's happening, it would be nice to not see people in positions of power projecting such polarizing views. It's a bad look for the league, and it's totally unnecessary.

If the yeti are as dysfunctional as you insinuate, some sort of intervention or private approach should have been taken by HO to correct it, instead of lambasting them publicly... But that's never really been your thing, has it?

To be fair, they did forcibly remove TMM from power a few seasons ago

People are gonna take shots at my players I'm going to defend them.

As infinite said we removed TMM from General Manger and have taken numerous steps. I'm not going to dignify the rest of this with a public response, you're free to PM me.

Frankly, I think this is a discussion that can be handled in public, because it concerns the public.

This isn't about people taking shots at your players. I've seen you go after the Yeti, specifically, or even other individual players on numerous occasions, and it always strikes me as really, really inappropriate coming from someone with more authority in the league than just about anyone.

As far as the league removing Meme, you're absolutely correct in that it was handled privately. But why keep piling on now? Why insult the current managers of the team? Why lash out at the organization for the current players?

Nobody said anyone wasn't justified in leaving. You're just taking shots at an organization -- which you own and represent to some extent, by the way -- for seemingly no reason.

I wish, as league owner, you could find a way to be more impartial rather than sniping people who you see as "tak[ing] shots at my players."

Is it bad I can't remember which LB I said I didn't need? I obviously remember Smallwood (which I have defended before and stand by) but I do not remember which LB... oops.

Edit: Was it Brown? He said he didn't want to play with us, not the other way around.

Slight correction to this, since I'm that FA - we had very good, lengthy and professional talks with the current GM and I'm sure @dropbear is the right person to lead the Yeti.
When we engaged further in those talks Micycle McCormick operation already happened so adding me in QB role would only add dead weight to the budget. We ended talks in good mood, while I didn't decide to join them I certainly know more about the team and respect them. Hopefully, a least once we'll meet in the Ultimus Finals if so it happens that my career doesn't drive me to play for Colorado one day.

I also dislike bashing on teams, it is just pushing your own agenda that way (without any good will like offering advice for them to improve, not saying this is the case, but I've heard far to many times opinions about dead LR, without trying to fix that, not even in the case of Yeti) whether private or public and it's often an automatic no-no for me to go to the location that engages in such practices.

On the other hand, Applehort had full right to free agency and exercised them, nobody denied him that. But to not expect backslash after leaving the team dry he was part of management in the past, even more so to the team that is current favorite, juggernaut, and long-time conference rival? The negative reaction happens in real sports too and is rather cool and fun part of having underdog mentality and basic need for the feel-good story.
It's always easier to leave for greener pastures than stay, focus and build something up from past failures if you want to achieve personal success and collect accolades. Don't expect sympathy that way from any other team than the one you decided to join, just think how weird that would be?

Which is great cause nowadays there's someone wonderful in the position Big Grin (psst that's you [and drop])

Even if it did very indirectly cause you to switch off kicker.... hmm.....
