The weather or the field or something must have been messed up because neither team's offense could get anything going at all that night, Week 11 in Philadelphia. Arizona started off the game with a slight upper hand, we drove down the field on the back of Mackworthy but were stopped and held to just a field goal, then in the 2nd quarter both teams were held scoreless despite the fact that Barnes alone had a sack, interception, and forced fumble with a recovery by himself in the 2nd. In the 3rd quarter, both offenses decided to put some points onto the board as the Outlaws grabbed another field goal followed by a 19 yard TD pass to Budda Browning to give them a 13-0 lead with a little under 6 minutes to play in the quarter. That's when Philly turned it on and went on a 17 to nothing run to close out the game giving them the win at home in what started out as a game that Arizona looked like they couldn't possibly lose. Barely limping over the 1000 yard mark, it seems like her return to Orange County may have hindered her performance. The blame could really go anywhere on this one. She's lining up alongside another elite receiver in the league in Carlito Crush, but Crush also had a poor season and didn't even break 1000 yards. Many pundits also suggest that there may have been issues in the team's strategy and that Atwell wasn't placed into positions conducive to her style of play. The biggest group of thought is that this is just the by-product of a struggling young quarterback who still hasn't quite gotten his legs underneath him yet. This looks to be the leading theory as it seemed that Guss T.T. Showbiz grew in confidence near the latter half of the season, which also gave both Atwell and Crush a massive boost to their production. Still, this is a major concern for Tegan Atwell and her fans going forward, as this was her final season before regression. This season was supposed to be her peak, but instead it seemed to be hindered by outside factors. I have the feeling that the Baltimore Hawks were probably supposed to be way stronger than the Philadelphia Liberty. Especially considering they are leading the NSFC right now. Why i think it’s surprising that the league react so much on it is that the game was NEVER in favor of the Baltimore Hawks. It started with two touchdowns, by Marquise Brown and Jordan von Matt, in the first quarter by the Philadelphia Liberty and they never looked behind. They added another touchdown by Marquise Brown before Owen Taylor from the Baltimore Hawks managed to score one. At this point, the game was 21 to 7. This was a huge deficit to climb for the Baltimore Hawks. The Philadelphia Liberty went on to add three field goals, thanks to Kulture Fulture. One in each of the Quarter remaining, the Second, the Third and the Fourth. This put the Baltimore Hawks in a deficit of 23 points in the game. Only Six minutes before the end did they manage to score again once, a touchdown by Owen Taylor. So now i’ll forever wonder why it was such a big deal. 222 (S11) - PT 5 - Surprising Outcomes - toivo - 11-15-2018 What the heck is Julian O’Sullivan up to these days? O’Sullivan, once poised to take over the reins from Mikke Laukkanen has stopped playing hockey. Is it permanent? No one knows right now. Nonetheless, we decided to catch up with Julian O’Sullivan to see what he’s doing these days. We found him at a Boston sports bar doing some planning for his baseball fantasy pool for next season. O’Sullivan takes fantasy baseball very seriously and spends a lot of time planning stuff. O’Sullivan says that he misses the game of hockey, but his knees don’t. He alluded to his knees as the primary motivator for him calling it quits. He grabs a drink and reviews some baseball stats, looking for things that don’t necessarily stand out to the average person. He tends to read between the stat lines and it pays off well. O’Sullivan can live off his fantasy baseball earnings. He doesn’t have an outlandish lifestyle, but he maintains the one he had while playing professional hockey. SHL PT (S11) - PT 5 - Surprising Outcomes - TheDangaZone - 11-15-2018 SHL PT |
