One of the main reasons that was implemented was to diminish the amount of targets due to FB getting fewer than RBs. That and using RBs exclusively as WRs. Which is why there are actually usage restrictions for being named FB. I'm not sure Adams actually even qualified for the FB definition given that he had twice as many touches on the ground than through the air.

Just offering people "shut up" awards doesn't do anything for the positional judgement.

So this is what recognition feels like <3

Therefore, many people did not want to vote him RBotY, which made a lot of sense to me. He ended up winning OPotY, but no position award. This felt like a good solution to me.

This was before the FB fix was implemented, but the idea seems the same to me. RBotY has always been more of a Leading Rusher award.
But didnt Yates win it the season after doing the exact same thing?

I think you snubbed Toasty a bit in this article. Brown forced 6 turnovers to Trout's 0. Trouts advantages are 2 sacks and 9 pass deflections. as solid as those numbers are, I don't know that they equate to six turnovers so I lean toward Brown. very impressive that Trout is in this conversation as a rookie, though. and one last note, we can't discount Mills. He didn't have any sacks but forced 6 turnovers as well and had a big lead over the other two in tackles even if that's less important.

Are you ignoring the 3 Fumbles Recovered I had? That moves the turnover difference only to 2 (since Brown had 1). Plus add in the safety that I had (which is better than a turnover) and I think I have the advantage over him.

Forced being the operative word here. Recovering a fumble is only possible with someone forcing it first. I did miss the safety, though, which is definitely equivalent to at least a turnover.

Hmmm. That's a good counterpoint. I don't remember if he did, but it's entirely possible...

I would nominate Austin Roenick Week 2 for performance of the year. Tackles are less valuable than the other shit in general but 17 plus an INT and TD is crazy.

Two things

1 - Great point. That is an insane performance (though I think Arnold's two pick 6es will be hard to beat

2 - I cannot believe I clicked on that without checking the link. Thankfully it was a legit one.
