3) Revenge

So the Pythons Season was without a doubt an utter Failure. From only two of our fourteen matches and having our GMs fired as well as having one of the others announce that they would be leaving after the draft due to personal reasons. The Team we plan to get revenge on is EVERYONE and I personally have A few ideas on how to get this done. First off Hopefully having A much better draft with the massive draft class we have this season, second having consistent and permanent GMs for A whole season or two to rebuild trust in our locker room and work on building A Luchadore Killing Duck eating monster team and finally We will be testing out a few new plays to see if they work not the same old plays every team does. Okay okay I lied there is one last thing that I personally have been thinking of that being A complete REBRAND and MOVE for the Pythons. Now the question is What would the rebrand be and where we would move to well I can tell you now The Colours are not changing that’s for sure. The Name of the Team would be The Squirrels and we would be moving to the city so nice they named it twice NEW YORK NEW YORK BAY BAY.

9) Brotherly Love

So I have and will always have a big soft spot for the whole of the Luchadores team. They were the first team I joined in DSFL. In those first two seasons I fell in love with not only the team but the whole DSFL and Locked down best Kicker while i was with them.. I have spent so many fun times with the people in that locker room from just talking about silly things to looking after each other and making sure we are all feeling awesome. Parts of what they have done in their locker room i’m bringing into the Pythons Locker Room like the Game Balls and making sure everyone on the team is happy being here and where they play. I won’t lie to you all a small part of me is sad that i’m GMing for the Pythons due to the fact that it means as long as I am GMing for them i won’t be able to return to the luchadore and kick some ass with them but now i can work with their GMs to return the Ultimini back to how it should be with each season ending with Pythons versus Luchadores and the two teams fighting over who is the best.

4) Rivalry
Written: Which team or player would you consider to be your greatest rival? Write 200 words on why you are rivals with them and why you want them to lose (don’t harass other users please).

Vladimir Fyodorovich finally came to an end as he played last game during WC in S19 playoffs and one thing he was consequent about during his career was hatred towards the team that gets rid of him after rookie year, without any warning prior - Orange Country Otters. It seemed that my recreate, Stanis?aw Koniecpolski, may be free of that aversion, but since he had to add backstory in his wiki page, he spends some long time traveling with Vladimir he was cheering for them to fail and lose against NOLA in the WC game last week. Still, if his name came up in the draft he isn't set on not joining any team, tough while any other team could basically count on his loyalty throughout (as long as its mutual) the same couldn't be said about Otters, since all-league, including him, looks for the day they become bottom feeders and miss the playoffs. So if they drafted him, preferably with very high pick he could return the favor of being drafted and thrown away previously by either not signing at all and making them waste draft pick or signing one year deal and bolting as soon as possible. Still, it's just a possibility and if they changed and don't have some vicious characters from the past anymore he could reconsider.

6) Expansion
Written: There have been a lot of new players entering the league recently. If you were in charge of a new expansion team for the NSFL or DSFL, how would you go about it?

I recently proposed a Caribbean team for PBE, but it makes more sense there since baseball is far more popular there than American Football. Also not sure if this question slash prompt is more about the branding or direction of the team going forward so I'll write a bit about both since it's easier to hit word count that way (Championship week shouldn't be 200 words per task too, have some mercy). Some big cities are missing from the NSFL/DSFL combined map like New York (which could be represented by Brooklyn or Manhattan, but since we have those in another sim league I'd love to see the Bronx or Queens-based team). I don't count Otters Country as proper location either, due to their mischevious nature so let's make proper LA team in Anaheim or another part of Inland Empire. Saint Louis & Oakland deserve the NSFL team too after NFL robbed them of their locations. As for the direction of the team, I had my shot at DSFL GMing so won't do that again, but the active LR is main priority, and the testing too, since in this potato sim even some boneheaded ideas might eventually work and turn out to be the best possible option to win some crucial games.

8) Scouting Report
Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL.

Stanis?aw Koniecpolski already played some games in DSFL after being picked up on Waivers during the S20 late part of the season. In his first game against Grey Ducks, he recorded 8 tackles & even tackle for loss, which is already better than Vladimir Fyodorovich entire defensive career as a cornerback. Next came away, one more defeat, @Tijuana, but individually it was good effort as he got 2 tackles, sack & deflected pass, showcasing his all-around game. Then in the penultimate game of regular season once Minnesota team dismantled Kansas City, but at least Stanis?aw put up big numbers with 11 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and once more single deflected pass. Coyotes were able to win their 5th game as they fought against their rivals Portland Pythons, Koniecpolski once more filled the stat sheet with 6 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and single deflected pass. Unfortunately, the playoffs dream quickly ended as they lost once more to Grey Ducks, where Stanis?aw was only able to get 11 tackles, which didn't stop opponents from scoring 36 points. He is now looking forward, focused and ready to the DSFL draft and next year to stepping up quickly to NSFL, he also played plenty WR and has warfare experience to help that position if the team that want to draft him would prefer that instead.

10) Reform
Written: If you were in charge of managing the league, what changes would you make to make it better run?

I actually made some proposals, two most recent were focused on recreates and one of them (training camp extended) was approved while another is still in the limbo - the rookie tasks awarding TPE, which almost incentivize recreating as a new account and being first-gen technically instead of continuing old account, which seems rather silly. While recent recruitment drives have been a fantastic success the choice of really quick and rampant regression kind of forces league reliance on recreates, especially in the job department where you need at least some share of experienced people. So either eliminate TPE from that task giving equal chances for everyone and make a similar task for recreating users, like having them make a summary of the previous character or finishing the wiki page. Another issue I think exists in this league is that some jobs are underpaid - like the PT department is really intensive here needing to create several predictions thread on the week and pay per season for it is comparable to 2500 words media article. PT passes are a nice trick, but this could help with job retention too. Having clear job section to find what is being opened could help too, recently I spend quite some time before I could even say which jobs were looking for people since job applications subforum is an unmanaged mess.

1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:

The game i chose to review faced the 6-7 Baltimore Hawks to the 7-6 Colorado Yeti. This Hawks team is more than used to getting into playoff games, but they got to this one without home field advantage. It was a very close game, up until the end of the third quarter it was always a 1 possession game between the NSFC teams, but in the 4th quarter, a FG by the rookie Jordan Jackson extended the Yeti lead to 10 points. The best the Hawks could do at this point was to score a TD, with a Corvo Havran pass to Apollo Reed, leaving about 3 minutes on the clock to try at least to tie the game. Unfortunately for them this was not possible, as the Yeti managed to keep possession and run out the clock with 3 first downs, sending the Hawks home without getting the ball anymore.
Looking at numbers, the game was pretty close for both teams, maybe even with a slight inclination to the losing team, but a costly Interception in the first drive of the game thrown by Havran and picked by Lejune proved to be somewhat decisive.
Good job by the Yeti, they will face the candidates Wraiths for a place in the Ultimus game.

----------------------------------------------------
3) Revenge

The team i would like to get my revenge next season is the Orange County Otters. I know, why should a team like the Arizona Outlaws seek revenge on the perennial Ultimus candidates Otters?
Simple. After we got to Orange County on Week 3 and spanked them 23-13 on a game that surprised everyone, they had the guts to come to our own stadium in Arizona on week 9 and hand our asses to the crowd with a 46-17 score.
Now, this should not be allowed. How on earth does Franklin Armstrong go from being completely shut down on one game, to an MVP performance on the other? The dude threw for 308 yards, with 4 TD's and no INTs. Was that enough? Noooooo. To make matter worse, he also ran for a TD just to make fun of the league.
I mean, sure, he is a good QB, but come on... This game should have been resimmed as he is clearly using some kind of cheat code.
But next season the Outlaws want to make the record straight. No way he is going to do the same to us, especially in front of our home crowd. Armstrong needs to get tested for PEDs.

(204 words)
--------------------------------------------------
7) Next Year

The Arizona Outlaws did not win the title this year because they are probably the unluckiest team in the league.
First of all, they finished 7-6 for the season. Not a bad record by any means, i am sure you agree. But this decent record meant they finished 4th in the ASFC. Can you guess how many wins away from the 1st placed team? Yes, exactly, one. And with the exact same record as the 2nd and 3rd placed teams. And if we add all the point differences for 3 of those losses, we get... 6 points. Amazing.
The problem is that next year the team will be gearing up for Season 22, so while we intend to be competitive and crush some teams dreams, the team will enter its prime then. Jay Cue will probably be over 1000 TPE, the rookies will evolve into great players as well and if we can get a couple of good additions on free agency, trust me, we are going to get there.
The team is well coached, as it proved this season, so we are looking forward into next season to maybe create some kind of surprise. If not, season 22 is our goal.

-----------------------------------------------
10) Reform

If i was in charge of the league, i would reform some things, but there are 2 that i am most "passionate" about that would end some of the problems that come from it.
Firstly i would do everything i could to finally be able to change the league name. We all know what NSFL means and the bad connotation it has, so something needs to happen because of this. Some people can't even open the website because of filters, and imagine you telling someone you play a game called NSFL. Yeah, i think you see where i am going with this.
The other thing i would change would be the tampering rules. We all know it happens, punishments sometimes come late or are non existent given the evidence, so why try to control something that cannot be controlled? If i go into discord and slide into someones DMs and tell him i have a place for him on my team, the only way the tampering will be punished is if he complains. If i am close friends with someone in real life that is a part of the game, and tell him to join me, he will never say anything about that as well, so i am tampering without any possible punishment.
Just make it legal for once and let's stop pretending people respect this rule.

Alexander Hamilton is my biggest rival right now. It's really just a stupid twitter beef that started out yesterday. It's escalated since and now he blocked me. Was it really my fault if he started it? Can't start beef and then block me but that's how AHam rolls. So I made a comment about his mom but that's no reason to block me. If I had to guess why this whole thing started it would most likely be because of the massive S22 draft class. There are too many trash talking CBs in one place. This beef was bound to happen. Corner backs usually talk the most trash, so it's no surprise that in a crowded draft class like this that some of these talented defensive backs were bound to get something going. It will be very interesting when we see who gets drafted by who. All of these people starting beef and talking trash before they even get drafted. I wouldn't be surprised if 2 rivals like AHam and I got drafted on the same team and we had to be teammates. We would probably pretend to like each other just for our GMs, and then when we go to the NSFL we turn back into mortal enemies.

No. 6

The new drafts have provided over hundreds of active players, many more than in the past seasons. This means an expansion is needed. The real question is how many new recruits will enter the draft next year. Many analysts around the league see this as a peak, meaning that we will most likely get many less players next draft. The DSFL is a 1 year league, so it may be very crowded in S21, but not so much in S22, meaning an expansion would be tough. Will the expansion hold up? Many people don't think so. The NSFL may be here to stay because players will be able to stay for longer. What would the league move to in the NSFL. Many are clamoring for a change in the playoffs and schedules. A 14 team league would allow for a clean 14 game schedule. How would playoffs work? All we can do is speculate and wait for the head office to enact changes. With the hundreds of new recruits, a 12 team expansion seems more realistic. The playoff system as it is is a pretty solid system, but would work better with 12 teams. Playoffs would be harder to make and playoff teams would be better, instead of 6/10 teams making it, 6/12 teams would make it. This would make the playoffs more valued, and not something teams can easily get into.

Zamir Kehla Scouting Report
-High Speed, considerably higher than other prospects when considering other stats, his speed was shown off in college games, consistently caught up to slower RBs and WRs, outraced all other CBs in his college.
-Excellent Hands, shows good hands in college games, most likely a result of playing WR in high school. Was able to bat down balls consistently and INT when given an opportunity. Doesn't make many plays on the ball.
-Average intelligence, notices certain things and misses others, this will most likely be his downfall when playing major league. Had several cases where he blew coverages and didn't know what play was being run. Often faked out by jet sweeps and RPOs.
-Weak, seldom got off blocks, not allowing him to make tackles on runners getting to the second level. Offensive lineman often overpower him.
-Average tackling, it's a case of hot or cold really, he makes some nasty hits on runners, forcing fumbles, but he also whiffs wide open tackles some times too. His technique is all messed up and something that can be easily fixed once with a proper coach.
-OK endurance, can stay on for 10 play drives and play well on each play, can sometimes even last longer depending on conditions. If going against a WR that makes him huff and puff, he will get tired easily, and may not last in a no huddle drive that goes on for 7+ plays.

Overall report: Good raw talent, can be coached into a superstar cornerback, teams needed a true lockdown corner should look his way.

No. 12

Interview conducted through discord.

@Duilio05

Background: Player is Walt Green, S15. Safety for Baltimore. GM personna is Taco MacArthur. Been Baltimore GM for three seasons now. Baltimore lost to Colorado in the NSFC wildcard.

1. In your opinion, what attributes do you think are most important for a defensive back?

As a young player I went speed, all speed very early. Put very little in other stats and I still almost tied the DSFL record for ints in one season, in my first six games. QBs grew wise to me and stopped throwing in my direction rest of the season. So my experience speed is the biggest boost for a growing DB. Even more so after what happened in the playoffs that season. Shoulda won the Ultimini but I got complacent and allowed another player to get faster than me. Curse you Tom Hanks.

2. How do you deal with playoff losses as a player?

They're hard. You always want to get to the playoffs. In the playoffs the regular season no longer matters and anything can happen. Playoffs are where upsets get remembered for ever. It really depends. After the Ultimus S17 loss to OCO you wonder what happened, we were the best yet nothing went right that day and you second guess yourself. But this season as an underdog you know despite the outcome we still have everything we had, and luck didn't roll correctly for us. Despite losing in a playoff game no matter the circumstances, it's always better to be in the playoffs than at home.

3. Do you think the playoffs are too easy to get in? 6/10 teams is a lot, wouldn't you say? Shouldn't regular season success be valued more?

I think 6/10 is just right, especially broken down by each conference only having 3 teams get in. Makes the end of season a lot more exciting. S20 every game in week 13 mattered. A different outcome in any game could have change the playoffs seeding, and as sports that's what we want. Excitement & tension. When we expand maybe it'll be good to keep the team count at 6 instead of increasing to 8. But right now it still give hope to teams who'd otherwise already check out.

4. What do you think is one of the most crucial aspects for success as a GM that maybe many people don't know?

Taking it slowly. Make sure you can dedicate the time needed. And also try to start as DSFL COGM first. As a GM you're responsible for making sure every player on your team is having a good time, even when losing. And that is a very difficult challenge. HO will be very selective when choosing new GMs for expansion because we want to ensure those people have time & commitment to help players learn the league, have fun, and hopefully stay involved even if they're not the highest tpe earning users. Having the opportunity to work along side such GMs is a great form of mentorship that could get you noticed for future GM spots. With the rapid player turn over going from DSFL to NSFL, it also provides an understanding of what works and doesn't work in terms of team building strategies. Hallmonitor quickly ascended from DSFL to NSFL GM very quickly because he learned lessons from the mistakes of his previous GMs and turned a team from potential contraction to a league power house. That team building skill made him ideal to take over a NSFL team.

5. According to a recent article by user retrospace111, there is an estimated 242 players for the S22 draft class. As a GM, how do you feel about the influx of new prospects and the possibility of an expansion?

It's great for the league. New influences are always a good way to make an organization better and this is no different. It's means there's potential for older league staff to find new players that could potentially be mentored to eventually take over league positions. Just like any occupation people need vacations from their work. I think that's the greatest part of any large draft class. As GM expansion is a crazy & exciting time. The large class means we have opportunity to set the foundation of the team to make runs for the Ultimus in the future. But it also means there's potential to lose older players to the expansion teams if we do an expansion draft. Lastly it provides new challenges, there are several DSFL GMs ready to step up to the next level and this is great opportunity for that to happen.

(S20) - Ultimus Week - dk87gaming - 02-18-2020

Four - With being in the league prospect pool for a whole three days it's hard to develop any sort of rivalry with another player. At this point, I'm just trying to make a name for myself but so are other players. One player in particular who went out of his way is Oline "prospect" (far from it), Bruce Buckley. I barely had the social media for an hour before this goon goes out of his way to start talking smack. Now I'm not one to enjoy confrontation but little did he know that along with figure skating, I loved debate club as a child. Sure enough, I roast this goon and take his soul using in a few replies. He comes back with ENJOY THE BENCH GEORGE insinuating that I'm not going to see a lot of playing time. While I feel bad that Bruce feels the need to rage like this, it taught me a lot about the level of competition I'm facing in this league. It will take a lot of hard work to get past this draft class full of goombas. It can be done with a bit of country work-ethic but I sure did pick a crazy year to declare.

Six - Expansion is a possibility in the upcoming season due to a large influx of players. Expansion can be an exciting time for a league but is also dangerous. This is due to the possibility of contraction, the opposite of expansion. Contraction is usually a bad sign for the future outlook of a league and should be avoided at all costs. The possible expansion should occur within North America. While American-football is an International game, right now the focus should be on creating local markets to promote regional rivalries. This will increase competition and make games more exciting. For possible markets, it would be hard to ignore the potential of another team in either Mexico or Canada. The largest respective cities of Mexico City or Toronto would serve this purpose well. The idea of a regional team would also be applicable, with home games spread over a local area. A team from Alberta playing in Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary could do this. Similarly, a team from Texas could share space between several cities, as could be done in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. Expansion at this point must happen due to the historically large draft class. With that being said it should be carefully considered to avoid a possible contraction in the near future.

Eight - Toshihide Matsumoto (@ToshihideMatsu1) is a prospect o-lineman in the upcoming DSFL draft. Hailing from Japan, he brings a big game to the table despite being a self-proclaimed vegan. He felt that he can be an impressive player who will be a force at the point of attack. Because of medical concerns in regards to his vegan diet, it is hard to see him going any higher than the third day of the S22 Draft. Matsumoto has mostly played at a variety of offensive line positions. For the NFSL, he is going to need to get stronger and add weight to his frame. Matsumoto is a right tackle prospect who is a real fighter at the point of attack. He has starting right-tackle potential in the NSFL. Teams are projecting him to be a candidate to go in the first four rounds of the upcoming draft. With impressive strength, pass blocking, run blocking, and endurance, Matsumoto may be worth a late-round flier. There are some concerns regarding his commitment levels as he's been slow to react to social media and requests for press. While he's never had any official discipline or time missed from football activities, he may be difficult to inspire or may lack enough work-ethic.

Nine - Being new the history of the NSFL, choosing a favorite team to have a "soft-spot" for is difficult however there is one franchise that does stand out in this regard. The Yellowknife Wraiths are the only Canadian franchise and they are rostered by lots of American players. Being a dual citizen myself, it's hard to not root for these boys in the NSFL playoffs. This team had an incredible regular season and deep playoff run. While going deep in NSFL playoffs is a bit like making the CFL playoffs due to a low number of franchises, this is still an incredible feat. The Yellowknife Wraiths franchise would benefit from DSFL or NFSL expansion into Canada. The one thing that is negative about this franchise is its far-off location. It would be great to see a team in Prince George, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, or Saskatoon offer a regional rivalry to this team. This is one franchise with an incredible history at the Quarterback position. For all the QB prospects coming into the league this year, you may stand to benefit from analyzing the depth chart of the Yellowknife Wraiths at this position. This will give you a better understanding of the monumental task it is to gain a starting job in the NFSL.

5) Armchair GM
Written: What moves could your team make to improve for the next year, be it in free agency, keeping players, the draft, etc. (Please be careful to avoid tampering.)
Graphic: Show us a step by step plan for future improvement.

For the Pythons, with how poorly the team performed this year, there is no choice to go but up. The defense is going to get better with stat improvements, Logan Noble Jr is going to take a leap forward after a great rookie year...and frankly our QB situation can't be worse. But with all of this well wishing improvements can still be made. If I was given the driver's seat and asked to make improvements as a GM, the first thing I would do is decide to move on from our QB and get a brand new face for the offense with a first round pick QB. Next, I would probably spend the rest of the draft on weapons for the offense and making improvements to the Offensive Line. Free Agents would only be used for the defensive side of the ball since I generally believe they were a strong unit that was shredded with how much time they spent on the field. Aside from Noble Jr, the offense was just too bad for us not to make it the primary focus in the offseason. Now, all of this can be overridden depending on how the NSFL turns out and how many people we lose to the draft/Free Agency.

7) Next Year
Written: If your team didn’t win the title this year, why do you believe they can win the next year (or the year after that)?
Graphics: Create a graphic showing the improvements your team could make to win in the future.

To piggy back off of the previous writing prompt, the Pythons can win next year because we simply can't be any worse than we were this year. We have new management that actually care about the locker room and want to make the moves to have us succeed, the offense should be able to become more run oriented to focus around our star running back, and with the offense making strides to get out of last place the defense should have more recovery time to show off the stars that we have on that side of the ball. We had arguably the two best defensive players in the league, with both of them being rookies, and leader in tackles in the league. But due to the fact our offense was so bad, the defense got shredded despite how good it was. Now, will we better in playoff shape next year? Probably not. Teams like this years Super Bowl 49ers are incredibly rare and I doubt that the Pythons could achieve that feat. Give this team two or three years, though, and they will not only be ready to hit the playoffs, but threaten to have the best in the league...as long as NSFL draft doesn't hit us hard or Free Agency doesn't screw us.

8) Scouting Report
Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL.
Graphics: Create a graphic showing their stats or attributes.

For the Season 21 NSFL Draft, Defensive Tackle Jaune Arc is a can't miss prospect. Coming out of a decent year with the Pythons, Arc is poised to land on a team that want a disruptive interior lineman and eventual All-Star. While his stats are not eye popping, in-fact they can be described as mediocre, his presence is felt along the battle trenches. The Pythons did not give him the best of development, having him on a team where the defense got shredded on a weekly basis, but his raw natural talent is truly spectacular. His goal is to be drafted as high as possible, with his dreams have him being taken in the first round, past experience dictates that a team will make a steal with him in the lower rounds. Being a defensive lineman, he has stiff competition, from his fellow rookies that are looking to make a name for themselves to DSFL players who have been biding their time in the lower league to get stronger. With draft boards currently being created by GMs across the league, it would not be a shock to Jaune Arc appearing on many boards as one of the top defensive prospects coming into the draft.

6) Expansion
Written: There have been a lot of new players entering the league recently. If you were in charge of a new expansion team for the NSFL or DSFL, how would you go about it?
Graphics: Create a design for your new team.

I feel as if these answers I am giving for the writing prompts are linked together to give similar answers, as if to make the task easier...oh well. If I was given the ability to create an expansion team, I would create a team in the DSFL, focus my first draft on building a running offense and then look for my other offensive and defensive pieces in Free Agency or trades. I want to create a running offense because not only is it one of the easiest to create, albeit with some exceptions, but it is a way to dominate the pace of the game. Defensive players are aplenty in the DSFL and should be easy to acquire. For the location and team name, I want to venture far up North, specifically the most northern state in the continental US, and I would create the Augusta Anglers. Being the capital of Maine, Augusta would be the best place to house the team and a name like Angler brings a uniqueness that the team needs. I am honestly vamping at this point, mostly just hoping that I reach the character limit and get my extra TPE needed. Anyway, I shall end by saying...I love the NSFL.

1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
In the DSFL we saw two top teams destroy their opponents in the Semifinals, with the Buccaneers beating the Seawolves 43-10 and the Grey Ducks beating the Coyotes 36-7. With lopsided scores like that it's hard to really predict the winner of the ultimini, but if I had to give a score for that game I'd say the Buccaneers come out of it on the winning side by a score of 30 to 23. I think the Ducks have a strong offensive game and have been solid on defense, but the Buccaneers are just a small step ahead of them and should be able to gain a victory in this tough matchup. Both teams have really good receivers in Davis on Minnesota and Sabor on Myrtle Beach, for rushing I think Myrtle Beach has a slight edge with Sarvepally. On defense the Buccaneers have the best FS in the dsfl in Vegeta, add to that some great line backers, I think they have the edge there for sure. These two teams played each other twice this season, the Ducks took the victory the first game 27-17, but their 2nd match up was a very one sided affair with the Buccaneers winning 21-3.

8) Scouting Report
Jeffrey Phillips comes into this S21 DSFL draft as a bit of an unknown, his uncle played in the NSFL and had a fairly successful career early in the days of the league, but Jeffrey didn't really train with his uncle or live near him most of his childhood, so the relation isn't much of a factor. Since signing with Myrtle Beach he's made a bit of a name for himself in only a handful of games as a fantastic short yard receiving tight end. In 4 games this season as a draftee rookie playing for the Buccaneers he has had 6 catches netting 36 yeards carried, he's also not allowed a sack and managed one pancake himself. For a young guy who is still developing at the position to jump in to the league and play like he belongs is a great thing. Jeffrey has been training hard and it's showing on the field. After 1 playoff game Phillips has 2 more catches and another pancake. Jeffrey Phillips is looking like a high end player in this coming draft, he will be well sought after and could end up being taken in one of the top rounds. It will come down to if teams need a Tight End as much as they need other positions.

Rivals:

My greatest rival on the field is also one of my greatest allies as well and it is pretty obvious who it is so I'll just say it out the gate, Brayden Ennis. We have had a rocky road from the beginning of our careers where we both joined tbe Marshals and the Coyotes were my player easily outperformed Ennis in every facet of the game. Brayden Ennis has been moreso of a Tony Romo-esque player focusing on the mental aspects of the game such as coaching and managing the locker room whereas Brackenridge is a definite stud on the field. The rivalry between us at the beginning of our career's was certainly hotter than what it is now as we have become veterans in the league and have shared the same locker room for 2 seasons now and have put our differences aside for the greater good of the team and it shows in our improved performance. Although it may appear all rosy and fine we still have our differences in the locker room and personally but we are able to keep it behind close doors and not to be able to effect our relationship and ultimately the fiery passion between the two on the field can lead to many positive things and it is important to remember that at the end of the day we are still teammates. Armchair GM:

I truly feel that the Sabercats are on the cusp of being a truly great team in this league and this previous season proved just that. One of the desperate needs for this team includes CB as Scarlett, their previous draft pick, was traded to become the GM in another city. The free agent market is pretty scarce at DB so the draft is the best bet to fulfill this need and with 2 high 1st round picks they can certainly land a stud in the secondary. Although not a pressing need for the team at the moment, an active qb would definitely propel this team farther because of the semi-questionable build that Dan Wright has so far but at least he has good run blocking. The first thing i would do as the GM would be to cut the dead weight on the team, which is solely Brayden "0 tackles" Ennis who is just hogging playing time at this point. This team is set up to add at least 3 great young active rookies if they play their cards right, which could be crucial for San Jose to become a hot destination for free agents looking to join a team on the rise that is lead by the best linebacker in the league Tyron Brackenridge. Dynasty:

The San Jose Sabercats are poised to be the next great dynasty in the league, even better than the lowly Otters. The Sabercats have a large group of active young players that have started to take the next step in this league and that includes Brackenridge, Ennis, Jackson, and Tyerucker all of which have become stars. Both Brackenridge and Tyerucker have been nominated for awards throughout their short time in the league thus far and can only signal the things yet to come. Their mildly inactive quarterback has been seen in the gym all offseason and has made some serious gains to his game, which will also make defenses have to prepare for the air attack with lethal weapons such as Jackson and DTF. The Sabercats also have 2 picks in the top 4 selections, which has them set up to take 2 excellent and active rookies that can provide an immediate impact on the field and hopefully turn this team into a perennial title contender. Although this all sounds great, this team must be able to attract some high caliber players in free agency to kick start this rebuild and to get ahead of the curve before their glut of S17 draftees hit regression and begin their slow downward descent into retirement. 1: Expansion
Creating an expansion team is a big honor and responsibility. The branding you choose could stick around longer than yourself even. Its something to keep in mind. I personally would like to see something similar to what Tijuana did. Something memey but, not in a forced cringe way. Like naming your team the "Interweb Dat Boi's". No.... I would do something a bit more vague, less cringe, but also recognizable or understandable for a good porition of people. I'd bring the Canadian Gooses to the DSFL. If you are familar with Letterkenny you may get this. In that show there is an on going joke aboit loving and having pride in the "Canadian Goose". Now, I guess it would be a bit weird since Canada is a whole country instead of a province, but Most American based sports only have one Canadian team or less, and all the fans of that sport in Canada usually support that one team. So in theory literally nothing changes.

It would also maybe be a bit to close to the Greybirds but, using real sports as a reference again, i'm pretty sure every league out there has 7 teams that are either birds or cats when it comes to brand it. So fuck it. Canadian Gooses 2020.

2: Next Year
I wasn't on a team last year, but i'd like to explain why no matter what team I am on this upcoming season I have faith my squad will be in the championship game. I would say since I have participated in sim leagues before I have more experience than 98% of this draft class. With that being said, I think a large portion are going to burn themselves out early on. I'm trying to be a big earner. I have podcasts ive slowly been working on coming soon where I will cover ever DSFL prospect positional group, anywhere from the top 5 to top 15 most hyped players of each position. This should be a few hours worth on content giving me a big boost in terms of money. I can drop that on extra TPE, and hopefully soon enough give my squad the real edge we need to put ourselves over the top and, become more than contenders, but instead champions. Now in the long run, this is football, and there are many more variables than that. If I end up on an expansion team, sure its less likely. However in the long run, i'm still me and i'm always going to have faith that me, and mine will be on top.

3. Scouting Report
Today we will be taking a look at DSFL Linebacker Prospect Mark Radson. Radson is from Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania, and he attended Alabama University playing OLB for the Crimson Tide. Radson excelled with pass-rushing but found himself to be more of a run stopper, and coverage guy. Though he did not get the opportunity to play much Bama would play in, and also win the Rose Bowl. Radson did not see much playing time in this game of course, but the next season things were different. He had shown some promise in his very limited snaps, and with that and the LB ahead of him heading to the next level. Radson would finally get the starting job for the Crimson Tide. Specifically at the ROLB position, he would fine quite a bit of success for the next two season including two 1st Team All American appearances and the Butkus award in his junior year. Though during his time there they would never win the big National Championship, they did appear in it during his last season in Alabama, but they fell short in despite a great performance all around. Now less than a week away from the DSFL draft, only time will tell where Radson will go from here in his career!

4. Ultimus Ad
This Commerical would involve myself and, my old college teammate Keven Adams Jr.
It would be an advertisement for the none other than the Beatles Rockband 2, the rhythm game that will, of course, revive the dying genre. It would start out with Kevin and Mark playing real instruments, but then they'd be like "Psh real instruments are for old people" before going, and finding a whole rockband set up in the living room. They would act shocked and begin playing, this would transport them into a concert in the 60s where they are playing with digital photo realistic renders of the Beatles. However instead of continuing to jam, Radson would begin to ask the band members to share their LSD with him which of course they did happily! Flashes of the pair partying and, jamming with the beatles would turn to flashes of them having a horrible trip, and at some points trying to fight Ringo. Radson can be heard shouting "YOKO IS GOING TO RUIN YOU!" at John Lennon despite this being proven a myth decades ago. The commercial would end with Radson and Adams being arrested, then the Beatles Rockband 2 logo pops up and its says "Rated E For Everyone".
