*Transparency on Chicago - Hallmonitor_20 - 03-29-2020 The media about "How I'd save Chicago" isn't something unique to this league. Whenever there is a team that struggles for multiple seasons in any sport theres going to be headlines like this. "How I'd rebuild the Knicks", "How I'd rebuild the Browns", "How I'd rebuild the Orioles" this is jus an easy way to show your involvement in the league and show your knowledge of the sport while also throw out crazy ideas. I mean how many times in the NBA do you see these "rebuild" ideas involve signing Lebron and instantly saving the franchise? That's just what people do to report that and it's just as fair ofa thing to write about during the season as anything else imo. *Transparency on Chicago - Nokazoa - 03-29-2020 tbf, I just dont like how every Chicago team in the sim leagues is about violence or crime. Syndicate, Butchers, Kingpins. That's just me. I think Chicago is a great location, and I hope that never changes. I also don't like the logo. Its mainly the hand. Im no expert tho. I do have a quick idea, but that is neither here nor there. As far as Chicago as a team and all that, I have no feelings on it. I like valor and steel, but i had limited interactions with them. I guess I dont need to make a new ahri sig now. *Transparency on Chicago - Oles - 03-29-2020 (03-29-2020, 04:07 PM)Nokazoa Wrote:tbf, I just dont like how every Chicago team in the sim leagues is about violence or crime. It has historical reference and value and to lump it in with violence such as killing other people is disingenuous *Transparency on Chicago - Nokazoa - 03-29-2020 (03-29-2020, 04:20 PM)To12143 Wrote:Butchers are no way involved with violence, unless you considering a major industry in Chicago based around animal products as violent. Could do a logo similar to this. change out the american flag with the circle logo Jiggly likes, and you get the same name but less emphasis on blood. Maybe what i proposed isn't the best sports logo, and I'll admit, I didn't know shit about Chicago's butchering industry. For that, I overstep. I never meant to come off as the logo had no ties to the city. I felt I never really came up to that line of thinking. However, I don't find it disingenuous that I associated the branding with violence. It clearly wants me to by the logo. *Transparency on Chicago - Isidore94 - 03-29-2020 (03-29-2020, 11:11 PM)Nokazoa Wrote:Sorry i find a cleaver with blood on it, blood splatter on the text, and the overall color scheme to emphasize violence in some matter. I don't think you were being disingenuous. I do think that your criticism of their logo is not a view that's well shared in the community though, so I can see why you got some push back. In the meantime I'd say the logo is the last thing the Butchers HO is thinking about right now. For what its worth, I find it nice that we have a staple American city as one of our Football organizations, with Franchises in Yellowknife, Honolulu and London, I'm all for a true to life football city in our sim. In fact, this franchise is probably the most realistic franchise when you consider their NFL counterpart and the mess they are in lol *Transparency on Chicago - FurFurFurson - 03-29-2020 Quote:A user posts to the forum saying he's just been cut by Chicago without any explanation from the team - "no messages, no anything". Wait who was this? I missed it *Transparency on Chicago - caltroit_red_flames - 03-29-2020 (03-29-2020, 02:42 AM)To12143 Wrote:that's it, OL bad http://nsfl.jcink.net/index.php?showtopic=...=0&#entry274139 *Transparency on Chicago - slothfacekilla - 03-29-2020 (03-29-2020, 03:11 PM)Nokazoa Wrote:Sorry i find a cleaver with blood on it, blood splatter on the text, and the overall color scheme to emphasize violence in some matter. I thought that this is what they were going for too tbh *Transparency on Chicago - Warner - 03-30-2020 (03-29-2020, 04:48 PM)Jiggly_333 Wrote:There's also the consideration that Valor is Valor and Waldo is Waldo. After having them both in the league for around a year, you notice things about what they do. Valor will always do the most dramatic thing possible. Waldo is fairly volatile and might take something to an unexpected length.I have no weight in this drama, but I just think that it’s funny that you’re the one saying this, especially given your reputation for acting like this and exaggerating situations within the league. Now I’m just a rookie, and I’ve only been here for a couple of weeks, but I just find it funny that you’re criticizing two other people for doing exactly what you do. Either way, best of luck to you and your co-GM. Turning Chicago’s reputation will be difficult. Very difficult. |
