I just wanted to know how the graphic grading process takes actual man-hours into account when it comes to physically drawing a sig versus using shader tools in photoshop. I'm probably too late for arbitration anyway. We don't, we grade based off of the design of the submission, we pay based off the final product not the hours that went into it. RE: Official Arbitration Thread - Symmetrik - 02-23-2021 Submission Date: 02/13 Submission Link: https://forums.sim-football.com/showthread.php?tid=29938 Contested Sig(s): All 4/7 - Graphics that receive this grade are ones that show the creator is now experience with photoshop. There are issues with the render cut and/or jersey swap. There are some issues with the text blending with the rest of the signature, the jersey swap may look a little off. 5/7 - Graphics that receive this grade are ones that we expected season veterans of graphics creation to make more often than not. The text blends with the rest of the signature, but the jersey swap and/or added logos may look a little off. I would like to know more about this, especially the issues with the jersey swaps. The 2nd one especially, which involved switching the Patriots' silver to the Royals' gold (which can't be done with a simple hue/saturation layer. It included swapping the helmet and bars, the glove, and the jersey stripes. There are no issues with render cuts. Especially when the next sigs graded had a clear render issue (section of the forearm, elbow, and upper arm are just missing) and received a 6 and a 7 respectively, this feels not right. Changes were made on the submission thread, if you still have an issue with the updated grades let me know. In the future please wait for the gfx head to approve threads before you submit arbitrations. I'd like some feedback on this sig plz. wondering what it would take besides the animation i made including fading the name throught the animation as well as adding in a highlight feature for the ball which changes size and shape inside the animation as well as the name on the sig with all the work on the logo and the secondary render behind the animation and the primary render with the team name swap on the back of the helmet including the shade and the team logo on the helmet as well as the flags on the back of the helmet. oh yeah and the name swap on the primary render too. just wondering. eye roll emoji Bumped from 6/7 to 7/7, now stop being a twat. RE: Official Arbitration Thread - qWest - 05-17-2021 Submission Date: May 7th, 2021 Submission Link: https://forums.sim-football.com/showthread.php?tid=31921 Contested Sig(s): 10, 11 (specifically, I feel the jersey and the quality of the subsequent number swaps deserved consideration for a bump) Would also love some feedback on what held sigs 5, 6, and 9 back. Bumped 11 up to a 6, will talk to the team and see how they feel about number 10. 9 got bumped up, really liked the font effect On 5 and 6 the font is what keeps them from 7's in my opinion, the bright white is a harsh contrast, and jumps out at you, taking away from the background and render. Instead of working along side the rest of the sig, it takes control of them and garners the most attention RE: Official Arbitration Thread - Pat - 08-10-2021 Submission Date: 7/26/2021 Submission Link: https://forums.sim-football.com/showthread.php?tid=33968&pid=498584#pid498584 Contested grade: submission 1 I'm genuinely curious how graphic #1 is a 3/7 grade. All three of the player renders involve not just color and logo swaps, but are all number swaps, too, and I'd argue are done very well (especially the two #26 uniforms). I'm not sure what else to really say. Resolved RE: Official Arbitration Thread - TeyonSchavari - 08-13-2021 Submission Date: 8/2/21 Submission Link: https://forums.sim-football.com/showthread.php?tid=34050&pid=500866#pid500866 Contested Sig(s): First I feel like I did the jersey swaps really well - I think the logos look super natural (plus look at Greg Maddox original uniform, its tough getting the Braves logo off the chest!), and I feel it all blends nicely. Looking for a bump up to a 5 since I feel it fits that criteria in the rubric better than a 4. I just don't see how it would be worse than my last captains graphic which received a 5 (https://forums.sim-football.com/showthread.php?tid=32530) (ik it doesn't say approved yet but I saw the GFX was paid out already so I'm not sure if I should have waited or not) Grade changed on submission, message me if you still want to take into arbitration RE: Official Arbitration Thread - takethehorizon - 10-28-2021 Submission Date: 10/24 Submission Link: https://forums.sim-football.com/showthread.php?tid=35603 Contested Sig(s): My first 3 sigs received a 3/7, this is inaccurate because going off the 'graphics grading and payouts' thread my cuts are clean, grader even said backgrounds are effective and text is very clear. Can I have more explanation on the first 3? My main issue is my 4th signature. I am aware you don't grade on the time it takes to create a sig but the quality of it. This particular sig took several hours over a few days and a great deal of work was put into it..just to receive a 4/7? For an example of what i'm talking about, this sig looks like a jersey swap and not even a cut with a faded background and some text..yet it receives a higher grade than my 4th sig? These sigs for example, all received higher grades as well. Renders look to be slapped onto photos with color effects and text is unappealing - I am in no way bashing any other artist here, just looking for an explanation I guess. @takethehorizon Changed the original grading on your submission, message me either here or on discord @Lim Jahey#2518 if you have any more questions or concerns. RE: Official Arbitration Thread - Drizzy - 01-10-2022 Submission date 12/26 and 1/2 Submission Links First one Second one Contested sigs Feel like both grades are pretty stingy given the amount of time spent on them and the actual output. I get ISFL has an obsession with doing jersey swaps and stuff but the second one is about 30 layers and should at least be a 4/7 imo Both submissions were bumped up by two grades each when I went to approve them. If you feel like it wasn't enough message me here or on discord and I can bring it in for arbitration |
