I think this is a good place to deflect blame state that the GMs also helped pass this rule, though it was a part of the whole 16-game proposal.
I won’t speak for all of HO here, because we did have a vote as to cutting trivia vs predictions before submitting the proposal and it was *close*, but it’s something we can and will reconsider in the offseason.

Add one more strongly in favour of predictions for all games returning next season. Just about every option suggested in this thread would be a huge step back in the right direction imo. Was going to say a lot more but it's really all been said already.
I should add that I think the switch to 16 games is a great change, though a lot of my excitement for that was lost when I heard about how PTs would be changing.

Appreciate the response man. Re-reading my message I felt I was a little hostile so my apologies there. Knowing that GMs also were involved in the decision makes me feel a little better about it since theres more than just HO input that went into this.

I look forward to the sixteen game season and agree with the reasoning for the change. Also agree with extending to five weeks to make sure there is not too much work on our lovely stream team most especially Colabear.
I will step up in defense of the change to predictions as someone who prefers to do point tasks just once a week. Checking three times for predictions is more work than I would like to dedicate to that section if I am completely honest. Also while many people have said that trivia is just copy and paste I will say I treat predictions the same way. I just quote someone else as the sim chaos involved means I feel more comfortable being removed from that decision. Although I will say I would like it if the predictions got posted at the start of the week along with the rest of the available point tasks.
I will say having seen the work that goes into an audit I wish the audit team the best of luck with their task! Will also say congratulations to all the new hires across the league!
