While Raleigh Velociraptors does not roll off the tongue I think it's obvious the team would be known by everyone as the Raleigh Raptors, which has great alliteration. Just saying.

Bears are not only super unwelcome in Germany (one that made it past the border was shot because he was a "problem bear") but there is already an ice hockey team called Eisbären Berlin (Berlin polar bears). Having two bear related teams in one city is not only confusing but also a bit redundant, even though the official Berlin city mascot is a bear, for whatever reason.
