RE: (S29) PT 2 - Double Trouble? - Dolphins - 05-31-2021 About halfway through the season I saw a tweet from a young Royals fan saying that he want Parm, Savior and I to go to his birthday party. I did some digging and found out that this kid is a huge fan so we decided to go. Luckily for us the party was on a Saturday so we could go after practice. We all grabbed our stuff and took Saviors Car there. I decided to bring an autographed Bradley Welch Game Jersey, a London Royals helmet signed by the whole team, and surprise mystery box. When we arrived at the party, we parked around the corner so we could surprise Johnny. Parm pulled out Coach's megaphone and Savior asked how he was able to sneak it away. and Parm answered with “I'm stupid sneaky kid, I’m just worried about how to get it back where it belongs without being detected.” As they were coming up to the yard where the party was Parm fired up the megaphone. He said into the megaphone “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHNNIE!” everyone looked over to see what the commotion was, and they all looked shocked when they realized that we had come. The three London players then started signing Happy Birthday through the megaphone for Johnny, and they got to piñata smacking time. When it finally burst open, and all the candy fell out the kids dove of the candy. Because the money was on the very top it was the last thing to fall out, and Johnny was able to collect all $100 while the other kids were distracted getting candy. They kept partying till it was over and everyone had to leave, then I gave the Mystery box to Johnny and he opened it. It was a set of Club level 50-yardline seats to our home game against Norfolk, and my pair of receiving gloves. After i decided to go talk to some other kids and after a few minutes I hear Parm yell “Hut Hut!” and I exploded down the yard as fast as I could, Savior noticed this too and ran to cover me and Parm launched a perfect spiral in the perfect location right into my outstretched hands a good 50 yards away. I did my celebratory TD dance in Savior's face, causing him to say “You’re lucky I wasn’t ready!” and I replied “yeah right dude. That throw was perfect and right on the money!” Johnny yells “TOUCHDOWN!” and i look back to see him and Dustin started celebrating themselves. They are coarse and rough and irritating and they get everywhere. They are obnoxious and they constantly require your undivided attention because they can kill themselves at any moment if you stop watching them for 2 seconds. So when Cue Jr. recieves these type of requests, that come very often to be fair, as a public figure and a player of one of the top sports in the world, his modus operandi is the following: - He makes a very nice video on every social network, showing the invitation (without showing the address, he is not a monster!); - He does love when that invitation has a nice picture of the kid, or a drawing he made, he loves to call him ugly or make fun of his drawing abilities; - Then he rips the invitation, throws it on the ground, a little bit of alchool, a lighter and let us have our grill started! - Bonus, when he has some free time, he likes to answer facebook, instagram or twitter posts criticizing him for destroying some kids dreams, calling people fat and telling them to go to their minimum wage job. The amount of hate he gets fuels his day and makes him even more determined to succeed! And his favorite player is Mike Hunt. The up and coming wide receiver who is in his 2nd season as a pro is having a decent season so far. We have played 5 games and he has over 500 yards and 2 touchdowns. So he was not all that famous. Not as famous as a lot of the guys that was on the team. The fact that this kid knew Mike Hunts career stat line and called that he was gonna score a touchdown in week 5’s loss is crazy. He was Mike Hunts biggest fan. When Mike Hunt played in Minnesota with the Grey Ducks, Mike’s agent came to him and said this kid wants you to come to his birthday party. And Mile thought that was crazy to do. But as Mike Hunts career went on, this young man made a very popular Mike Hunt Fan Group! Everyone in this fan group loved Mike Hunt. And Mike noticed it last seaosn his rookie year. He saw it pop up on his phone one day. Asking to come to a meet and greet. And again he thought it was strange. But finally this season in week 2 he got a call for yet another birthday party from the same person. So Mike thought it was a good idea to go and do it and he got to meet this young man who loves Mike Hunt. He had a Duke Blue Devil number 5 Mike Hunt jersey, and a number 5 Minnesota Grey Ducks jersey and the Chicago Butchers jersey. He was truly a big fan! That was just the first game of the season and I don't think we were quite ready yet but however I think that as time goes on in the season that we will be able to bounce back and get into winning form. I would say that pre-season wasn't enough but if we don't start winning in a few more games I would be shocked to be honest because I think the team that we have in Portland is very capable of winning games. Who will tell because we got a long ways to go and Noah still has a long season to go. Maybe it was a fluke or maybe it wasn't only time can tell. Biggest issue I think was scoring though our defense helped us out as best they could. One Field goal or touchdown would have gotten it. Since we lost the game 9-10 it's painful I am not sure that we scored single digits once last season. But the next game the offense will be on fire for sure and I know it. Taking a look at the weekly results, you’d be hard pressed to find a team that has gotten the short end of the stick more than Honolulu Hahalua. Week 1 saw a great battle between the Hawaiian team and the Austin Copperheads. Unfortunately, Honolulu came up short on 4th and 2 at the Austin 38. While that game was a slugfest, weeks 2 and 3 were just the opposite, as Orange County and Arizona beat Honolulu by a combined score of 75-28. Despite the rough start to the season, the Hahalua battled the Yeti to overtime. Although they had the ball 1st and 10 at the 29 yard line, 2 penalties and 2 sacks later the Yeti win the game on a safety! Talk about self destruction. The following week, Honolulu fought the Silverbacks to the wire. After scoring a late touchdown and getting the two point conversation, Honolulu got the ball back but were unable work their way into field goal range despite moving the ball all the way to midfield with 48 seconds left. Sure they’ve gotten beaten down a few times this year, but Honolulu is better than 0-5 and will certainly end up upsetting some teams down the stretch who have dreams of playoff grandeur. For a team who has overachieved? Let’s go with Arizona. 3 of its 5 wins are by a combined 10 points. They’re a lot closer to the ret of the league than its record indicates. Code: 265 words |
