RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - r0tzbua - 07-05-2021

Oh wow, I just posted a thing thanking people when I retired and now this. Well, let's have a go again! Can never thank enough people in this league and I like it a lot.

So let's start out with everyone that really got me into this league when I first joined here before I was drafted. It hurts to this day but the London locker room played a big part in the beginning of me enjoying myself here. All my friends and fellow draftees there deserve a big part of the cake, especially @Maglubiyet and @abh89 who were the London GMs at the time and made for some great conversations in there.

Also @DeadlyPlayer, @platanocat, @slate and @katarn22 who I love and hate at the same time. But the love is real and the hate is just something fun to have as a nice rivalry with them.

And of course Dallas, everyone in the war room at the time that may or may not have pushed to grab me, especially @Amidships, @Kyamprac and @yonggarius, who played a big part in drafting and welcoming me to Dallas, and in a different way also @gucci and @Raven who got me into Honolulu a quick season after and made me find my other home in this league. My favourite person from Quebec (next to Celine Dion) @enigmatic can not be forgotten either! Also there's @Kyle and he exists. And my partner in crime for two seasons, the amazing @ZootTX.

My friends from Honolulu, especially my true love @Attopax, the great @siddhus who are GMing like crazy. @124715 who I never met before he got drafted into Honolulu and god am I happy I did.

My fellow S25 draftees from Dallas and beyond who I bonded with greatly and had the luck to share some playing time and great conversations with: @ReverendOReily, @Asked Madden who I am glad that he is the new Dallas GM, @zaynzk who is doing amazing things in NYS, @LancedJack the mad lad. @Kotasa, @UberBJ, @GlimsTC, @ShnarlyDude, @"Punter715", @Blasoon loved hanging out with you in the different channels.

And people I spent a lot of time with in different parts of the league that are close to me like @infinitempg, @SchwarzNarr, @bex, @dude_man and @manicmav36 my favourite simmer ever. Also of course the golden voice himself @WhatAmUs who I really, really need to drink a beer with. The warm salad man himself @Tonzy and the panda-thiefing @RDBSouthPaw.

And all the people that were drafted in later seasons that I am so happy to have spent some time in Dallas with, or had the actual chance to draft them into this great team like @OrbitingDeath, @hexify, @Dallypole (chill on the Hot Dog Pie Gifs man), @AW13, @maupassant, @Skindog44, @Toast and all the people I forget but are dear to my heart.

And my buddies from the SHL that welcomed me with open arms into their teams and made it even more enjoyable there than it already is. @sve7en, @overdoo, @FootballIsCool, @cpetrella, @wearingabear, @Gumbaman, @Capt_Blitzkrieg, you know who you are.

Of course as it usually goes I am sure I forgot people and that I am sorry for, but there's only so many thanks and feelings I can let out in a one week span, forgive me.

Also @Frostbite is smelly.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - krazko - 07-05-2021

These are always so difficult because you're bound to miss out on someone.
The first shoutout I would like to give is to the entire league and the awesome community we have! Allowing everyone to have a great experience and fun while playing this game!
Everyone who has been so welcoming and friendly to a new member on the site!

Starting off with the entire London Royal Locker Room who invited me and I had a great time with when I first started!
@slate@katarn22@WildfireMicro@platanocat@DeadlyPlayer to name just a few!
To those there who also play Epic RPG with me daily, can't forget to add in @abh89 !

Moving on to the DSFL draft I had great talks with all the teams that did scout me!
Landing in Portland with the great GM duo @zeagle1and @Hordle was great as a complete noob to the game of football! Truly helped me out a lot and made the experience fun!
The remainder of the team cannot be forgotten, especially everyone in the "closed" part of the LR who are always helpful and pleasent to chat with!
my fellow draft class sneks, @pauadrian@C9Van@Accka and the other members, @Rusfan, @Number 82, @"Netlandic" & @LB3737   just to name the ones I've spoken to most!

More recently with the ISFL draft approaching everyone who scouted me and I had great talks to, showing the great spirit of everyone in the league again!
The lockerrooms I've been in and tried to be chatting daily!
@Mooty99in the Austin LR who was great introduction and then great chats about the current Euros
@IsaStarcrossed in Colorado for the fun talks about gaming and everything else!
@SchwarzNarr for being a super friendly and nice moose!
@Bayleywho helped me get started in the league and does a fantastic job running the fantasy!

Everyone else involved in the Casino that makes the league so much more engaging! Everyone writing amazing media and the graphics master who does some amazing for for all our signature!
Finally, all HO and other day-to-day things, updaters, bankers, graders, recruitment team that brings in new people so we can grow the league!

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Z-Whiz - 07-05-2021

First and foremost, I've got to thank @Highhaschdi and @Sylphreni for bringing me in to London and giving me a chance. Without the great locker room and other guys like @DeadlyPlayer and @Modern_Duke, I don't know that I would have stuck around for the long haul. I think you would be pleased to know that I finally kicked my EpicRPG addiction.

To my other S24 Londoners, @abh89 @Maglubiyet @crow19 for making the sim development team so much fun. We had a lot of good times with the tasks given and I think

To the S25 Londoners, @katarn22 @y2bobman @Swanty thanks for being those final building blocks that got us the Ultimini. I'll remember that night and the locker room party the rest of my life. It was so much fun and well deserved.

@Unicorn I seriously can't thank you enough for giving me the chance to be your co-GM. You built a fantastic team and I appreciate you giving me the reigns full time. I'm sorry we couldn't send you out on top this season and I wish you the best wherever you end up in the draft.

To the Arizona WR @qWest @ztarwarz @zeagle1 @Pib @BRNXB0MBERS @Kotasa @LSUFAN101 @dankoa and @SabaDonutMan thanks for putting up with my less than stellar Discord management. And your input has be valued greatly. Without you guys, we would not have such a great locker room and a strong team.

@Opera_Phantom thank you for your amazing attitude and contribution to the league. Don't tell the others, but you are my favorite user on this site. I again am disappointed we couldn't send Cue out with an Ultimus. Stupid 79 speed cheese.

@hotdog thanks for getting me into the SHL and putting up with my shenanigans.

@MrStennett @MattressCadaire Thanks for sticking around in Arizona when I took over and trusting your players careers to me.

@Crunk I still remember your shock when I came to you to promote you to co-GM. You've done great work and put in more time into this league than anyone else. I'm confident we'll get that illusive Ultimus that our roster building deserves, and even if we don't I've still had a lot of fun and I'm proud of what we've made here in AZ.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - JayWhy75 - 07-05-2021

I've been lucky here. I was able to get in with a good group of people and make some good friends out the gate. And beyond that, I'm lucky that I was able to have some help getting into things. I come from the world of the SHL, and so I know how sim leagues work but this one is going to be different just on the difference of the two sports alone. So with that, I've been lucky for a few reasons:

First off, I'm lucky to have had @Tomasnz there to get me started and help me find my way a bit. He was great guidance to start with, and he is a great friend to me. I am very appreciative of him.

Secondly, @Kotasa has been fantastic to work with in the DSFL. Initially I was a little skeptical of changing my position, because I just didn't understand how it worked. Kotasa has been great at helping straighten me out when I needed it, and has been a great resource for me with trying to learn about a new league.

I'll also give some big props to @TomHanks for his great work in giving me someone to compare myself to and kind of helping me feel the competitive spirit here. And to @UberBJ for being my first GM off the waiver wire, and ever since not drafting me having to endure the pain of knowing what he missed. But also for being a great person to talk to when I've gotten the chance to, he's really something special.

I have an appreciation for a lot of people in this league, it has been a remarkably easy time to switch my brain over to football and be able to feel comfortable here. It may be the amount of cross-league people who I know already, but I feel I've met a lot of new people and gotten to really enjoy it based on those connections being made. So really a big thank you to the league for making it fun.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - MN_Moosey - 07-05-2021

Man I have been in this league a long time and have had the chance to meet and talk with so many users. It increased an insane amount once I got into the events team. Oh boy where to begin. I gotta shout out my goodest buddy @RenoJacksonHS. You have come a long way since first joining the league. I hope me pushing you to get your tasks done paid off. You do have that TEotY that I never was able to get. I can't wait to see what your new create can do, except picking me off. That is something we do not do around here. @bex, it has been a short time of getting to really know you but you are an amazing human being. It's been a blast chatting with you and sharing little bits of our lives. I wish you much luck in your move and "adult" life haha. May the east coast treat you well. @Frostbite sux lmap. In all seriousness thanks for bringing me on to Myrtle Beach back in the day. We had quite the squad that produced so many awesome users and a great culture. I can't wait to battle it out with you in the DSFL as quarterbacks. @SchwarzNarr you are a super cool user. At first you were this little user with an angry moose as a render and slowly but surely you worked your way up. You deserve everything good that comes your way. I love little melvin and all the emotes you have made. I use :wigglymoose: on a daily basis now haha. You are certainly the superior moose in the league no doubt about it. I can't wait to hear what you want to commission me to make. I guess I'll shout out @woelkers too. Man I give you so much crap for passing me up in the DSFL draft all those seasons ago but you made up for it by taking me in the expansion draft. It has been a blast working with you in New York. Please refrain from picking me off in the future. Bubba the GOAT DT and he taught Leon all he knew. Thanks to everyone else who I have had the pleasure of interacting with over my time. I can't believe I've been in the league over a year and a half now. There are still so many new people to talk with, meet, and make an impact on. I can't wait for what comes next.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Ace - 07-05-2021

First off, thanks to @Bayley and @Muford for rekindling my interest in the league and the community with Eller’s time with the Butchers. They’re both friends of mine and fantastic leaders. Thank you. More recently, @slate and @katarn22 did a fantastic job with the London Royals during my time with that club. Their tight knit community really set the hook and got me invested in not just my own enjoyment, but working hard and earning as much as I can to help my teammates out as much as I could too. I wish I could’ve had another season in London, but these things sometimes work out that way. You guys were the pinnacle of DSFL managers. @WildfireMicro is also a fantastic member of this community. He pushed hard for me to be drafted to Philadelphia, and I am enjoying my time with the Liberty immensely. This LR is great -  I share a LR with @AgentSmith who I’ve known for a long time in SHL but I’ve never had the pleasure of sharing a LR with, @juniped is one of the funniest dudes I’ve interacted with, @Jimi64 is a guy that’s never said a mean thing in his life I think, and a fantastic leader. Taco has some of the greatest graphics I’ve ever seen, and I am still waiting on him to make the one for Bjorn Viggosson over in the SHL. Pat and Cody – thanks for brining me in and making me a part of your defensive schemes, and inviting me to the war room. It’s a lot for me to get my arms around with a new league here, but I am hopeful that my expertise in management in other sim leagues is relevant and valuable to the team here. Thanks for investing in me, and I can’t wait to invest in the team.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Kyamprac - 07-05-2021

I suppose the first person I have to thank is @Amidships because if I hadn't followed him to the league I wouldn't have met some of the amazing people I now get to call my friends outside of the league even after my time here is done.

Next is a group of people I try to thank a lot between PTs and whatever else, but really can't thank enough - the Dallas Birddogs. I can't say enough positive things about the people who made (and continue to make) my league experience a more positive one. Specifically, thank you to @yonggarius for putting up with me as a co-GM in a totally different timezone, to @r0tzbua for stepping up and becoming my amazing partner in crime soon after, and to our entire war room for providing great advice and making our locker room the great place it is. You guys all made the league a fun place for me to be @Kyle @enigmatic @Asked Madden @gucci @Gumbaman @OrbitingDeath @zaynzk @ReverendOReily @ZootTX @W.Sconnie @Rradum @hexify @Bayley, @KenitohMenara @ThePope @Dallypole @AgentSmith @Capt_Blitzkrieg even traitorous @furiousPanda.. and basically all of the other amazing Birddogs I've had the pleasure of talking to.

In Austin I have to give a shoutout to the lovely folks who keep that team running, including  @Mooty99@GlimsTC @frazzle14 @JKortesi81 @Tonzy @RDBSouthPaw @WhatAmUs and of course the other guys I already mentioned (you obviously know who you are). Love you all and hope the sim is kinder to us going into the future to reward you for all of the hard work you've put into the team.

There are a few others I'd like to shoutout for making my experience positive, even if they don't really realize they did at some point along the way. @Opera_Phantom @siddhus @MrStennett @Pib - thank you all for being so great on PPT through everything. @mithrandir thank you for my time in dotts and for all of the awesome LOTR content. @TheCC, thank you for giving me one of the best meme trades in my time as GM (I really am so glad it worked out in the end). @slate and @katarn22 thank you guys again for the first anniversary game - it was a great idea and we all really enjoyed it. @Mojojojo thank you for being such a genuine and positive presence in this league and for sharing your recipes in Dallas. @zeagle1 and @Z-Whiz thanks for being good sports and having fun with the rivalries. @Rusfan thank you for always checking in and pointing me out for the wuss that I am on Phas. @Bigred1580 @RussDrivesTheBus @Crunk @LancedJack we didn't talk a ton but I want you to know I really appreciated the times that we did.

As with a lot of these other posts, I could probably name a lot more but that's all for now. Thank you all for being amazing and making this place bearable even on the worst days. I hope to grab a beer with a handful of you one day soon.

Oh also @Attopax. I guess.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - AgentSmith - 07-05-2021

The ISFL is my secondary league, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t made friends and met some excellent people in my time here.

Thanks to @Kyamprac for being part of the team that brought me into Dallas, which easily one of the best locker rooms I've ever been a part of. Without the encouragement of everyone in Dallas, I doubt I would have stuck with it as well as I have.

A huge shoutout to @"Punter715" and @ShnarlyDude for bringing me into Philadelphia to be the TE of the near future and allowing me to be on this team as we become a powerhouse of the league in the next few seasons. An extra special thanks to Pat for giving me the tools and ideas to write media to help build my bank and encouraging me to stay active. I'm really looking forward to the future with the Liberty and I know we're in great hands.

Thanks to @Faelax for bringing me over from the SHL, and to all of my SHL/ISFL crossover peeps out there, including:
@Ace: It’s awesome finally being able to share a LR with you instead of just meme-ing in the J GM chat and DM-ing about goalie swaps
@ZootTX: You can’t escape me, even if you wanted to. Super excited to have you be part of SFP, and your working running Dallas has been incredible.
@Gumbaman: Thanks for helping with the sim team in the SHL and being a great war room member in Dallas
@WildfireMicro: I love seeing your enthusiasm for all things sim league, and you make me want to be a better player
@wuma: BEANS
@sve7en: You and Faelax got me into the sim leagues in the first place, so this is all your fault
You all make sim leagues an awesome thing to be a part of and without you, I wouldn’t have nearly as much fun as I do now.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Menace0528 - 07-05-2021

If I’m gonna talk about a user who really helped bring me into the league, I have to start off with the two big ones: @Maglubiyet and @abh89. The Royals server was what first drew me into the league, and I was insanely active in there. And by insanely active i mean like I ended up being top 20 in the London Royals rankings ridiculously quickly, and I believe top 10 by the end of my first season (i’m sure that ranking has dropped, but whatever), and i completely give credit to abh and mag for that. Mag was also the center of my first ever media piece, which was also possibly the weirdest thing I had ever written. It was about how the London Royals were secretly planting trees to replace their players, and it was full of typos, mistakes, and overall a lack of understanding as to how league media was supposed to look. But it was a start. And on the topic of London, I just wanna thank the whole London Crew, both past and present. I would bring up a couple, but then i’d feel awful about accidentally not bringing up others, but like there was an absolute rush of acceptance, even when i did stupid stuff like get lost in a grocery store or type “WE WOB” after the Royals won the ultimini (i’m still getting flack for that by the way). Honestly, I’m so ridiculously happy London, especially considering we drafted two DT’s in the same draft and in the same round, something typically unheard of seeing as how DT is rarely a very popular position in drafts. Yeah but overall, Mag and ABH were huge for not only me being not just another IA player, but someone actually involved within the league and actually earning and making media and all that fun stuff.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Starboy - 07-05-2021

So I recently took part in Wildfire’s post doing something similar so I guess I will tag most of the same people again. I have a lot of people to thank in this league and there is no amount of words that I can ever feel are enough when it comes to thanking them. To begin again, @Duilio05 , @Rradum , and @flyeaglesfly29 as my first real introduction into the league. Duilio posted the first post that I saw about the league and has been an amazing friend since. Rrad and Fly both were my first GMs in a much different era of Kansas City that I still feel bad for with how busy I was back then. Then I became somewhat of a “veteran” when I ran into @Buttersqauch101 and our first conversation resulted in the glorious Spider-Cop movie and since then we’ve become great friends. They haven’t been easy years, but that is what makes them better. My time in the league has been longer than I thought it would be and with how many amazing people I have met, it only lets me keep pushing on. My first run as GM in Kansas City, I made even more friends that made being a DSFL GM easier despite the intense imposter syndrome I faced whenever we did well. @Matty7478, @PMoney, @Voltaqe, @sakrosankt, @RenoJacksonHS, @Booger, I could sit here and name these guys forever. It meant a lot to me to have such a close knit group of friends that was all in it together in times that I needed it. That sort of closeness only continued when I stepped down from Kansas City to focus on my time as an ISFL Quarterback that had no luck but still had my number one fan in @GlimsTC. Something about the first times we talked just clicked and since then it has not stopped. There are just too many people I want to thank within this league and I know one of them is probably going to message me when they read this so thank you, to everyone that I talk to regardless of if you see yourself here or not. You’re the best
