RE: (S31) Ultimus Week - mook - 10-19-2021 16. Toledo is a new face to the DSFL, and his talents are relatively unknown. He brings a blank slate to his new team, ready for information and development. Being open minded is one of the biggest strengths of sports, being available to assimilate to the teams mindset and development. Teams should take a chance on Toledo because of the possibility of him becoming a star player. As long as the training continues, he will be one of the top Wide receivers in the league at a steady pace with top earners. It might take a few weeks of training for it to become second nature, but with the right mentoring and coaching, Marvin Toledo will be one of the top offensive weapons sought after in the league. On the other hand, there is quite the risk in drafting Toledo as the league is a second priority and depends heavily on free time. With the current schedule, attributing several minutes a week to the league isn't that impossible to keep up with, as long as there is prodding and poking to continue updating in the DSFL and ISFL. It's a medium risk, high reward situation for teams looking to add a wide receiver to their roster 25. I just created a quarterback, but upon learning that there are minimal slots that didn't really change my mind and fully intended on keeping my QB slot. If a game is going to be won or lost, I enjoy having that responsibility and not leaving it up to someone else. After talking to Sconnie in discord for a bit, I decided to go with Wide receiver. It's still a new role for me, and I've seen enough college and NFL games to understand that they still hold a massive impact on the game. As a QB I planned on being a heavily intelligent passer who would analyze the field before making a play, keeping the possession on his side and slowly making progress up field. I compared it to being a goalie in the SHL, but having my stats actually make a difference and not be completely up to RNG. Now, as a Wide receiver, I will be focused on making a good catch, and if there is room then trying to grab a few more yards. It's a different focus, but I will still have the impact on the game I intended, but will have a little more downtime between plays if I'm not a primary target. 27. Although I have been on the site for less than an hour, the team that immediately jumped out at me with exceptional branding was the Yellowknife Wraiths. The logo is clean and the fact that there is a professional football team in Yellowknife is interesting to me. I love the colours and imagining them on the field is just a nice looking uniform. While there may be better colour schemes, the Wraiths come out as a complete package, and it really isnt hard to beat teams like the Fire Salamanders, Butchers, and the Second Line. In terms of what team needs a refresh, at least the Second Line and Fire Salamanders could use a new team name. New Orleans is a great location and could remain but there are plenty other name options that would be better suited to the lifestyle and history of the city. New Orleans Voodoo, Krewe, or something relating to Gators. Lots of options. For the Fire Salamanders, a location change would be needed, but if they wanted to stay in Berlin there are so many other options than a two word team name, Berlin Bears would be a good choice but a location change to elsewhere in the EU or a move to NA might serve better for available names 31. What do you bring to a team, and why should a team choose to take a chance on you next season? I am a software engineer and an avid gamer. My software engineer side mines that I like to automate everything and I have gained a reputation for my tools and enhancements. I can bring thar talent to the ISFL as well. I have automated everything from the scouting system, to the test simming. All things to save time and make lives easier. For my gaming side, I am up to hangout and play games with the locker room. A tool I love to use to build teamwork and relationships throughout the team. In my opinion, building those relationships directly translate to more, longer active, players. Code: 25. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why? The logic is simple, if I want to ruin days, I can do it a lot more with sacks than picks. I could hope for one pick a game or I could get 2 or more sacks and just irritate people. Hopefully, it turns out that way. At this point, it is a learning experience and if it does not work out, back to safety I go. Code: 26. Football is a game that has been going on for a while, loved by fans all over. But what if you were able to make some rule changes? Talk us through your new version of football, and what would be different and why? Secondly, I think the extra point should be moved back to a 50 yard field goal. I want no guarantees. If the team wants to go for 2, they can do it from the 10 yard line. That way, both a somewhat difficult and there are no virtual free points. I know these are two boring rule changes but it makes the game feel more about skill than luck. Lastly, I want to propose a weird one. I think the offense should have the choice to allow only 4 linemen but be allowed a 6th receiver. This would be a high risk situation for the offense but provide one more opportunity to complete a reception. This would increase the number of sacks but also increase yardage per game. Code: 31. This task is exclusive to recreate/non-recreate rookies of the S32 class and later. The season is over and the draft is coming up. What do you bring to a team, and why should a team choose to take a chance on you next season? Coming in as a brand new player, i'm excited to see what Kellan Frost is able to bring to the table. Standing at 6'4 and 250lbs, Frost is a defensive end with alot to prove. Similarly, being a new user to the ISFL i'm looking forward to kicking my first ever football sim player's career off right and dive in headfirst. I will definitely be bringing activity as I plan on updating weekly to constantly improve my player. While i've never participated in a football sim league before, I have been an active user over at the Simulation Hockey League (SHL) since late 2019. I'm looking to join a club with knowledgeable coaches to put my player in the best position to win. I'm not concerned about individual accolades and accomplishments. I only want to see my team succeed and I'm willing to do whatever I can to make that a reality. Frost is a speed rushing defensive end where I plan to use a combination of speed and agility to fight through the block and make a plan on the ball carrier. Aside from focusing on speed and agility, strength and tackling ability are just as equally important in my mind. I don't want to simply make a tackle but also have a chance to knock the ball loose and have our defense make a recovery. Word Count: 227 Code: 25. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why? I was seriously interested in creating a player with many different positions in mind. At first I was looking into developing a QB but saw there wasn't a real need for one at the time I created - same goes for a running back. I enjoyed playing defense when I played football growing up in middle school and into high school. There's something about making good consistent clean tackles and even forcing a fumble every now and then. I never had the built to be anything but a defensive back so having the opportunity to create a large defensive end was something I got really excited about. More importantly, I wanted to create an agile defensive end that has both the ability to shed the blocks and get to the player as quick as possible. It's one thing for DE's to be large and clog up the RB lanes between the tackles. But being a stout defensive end is about closing that outside off and pushing the ball carrier back towards the middle of the field. You look at guys like JJ Watt, Julius Peppers and Von Miller, those are the guys I am trying to mirror my player off of. The aforementioned speed rushing defensive end will give me the best possible outcome in starting to create that player. Word Count: 219 Code: 27. What team do you think has the best branding in the league? What team do you think could use a refresh? Why? For this task I will breakdown all of the DSFL teams as that is the league I will be starting in. Starting with the North division my branding ranking would be as follows in order of worst to best, Portland Pythons, London Royals, Kansas Coyotes and the Minnesota Grey Ducks. First off, I love the python logo with the snake holding the ball in it's mouth. The shape outside of the ball could be tweaked a bit but this still deserves my #1 spot. After that the Royals, which is a pretty typical sim league branding imo..super clean, no defects, it works. However, both Kansas City and Minnesota need to be looked at. The actual coyote image looks low quality and the purple should be a bit darker. The grey duck is something i've never heard of before. After some quick research, I guess the phrase "Duck, Duck, Duck, Grey Duck" is a thing? I'm not sure but that has to be the weakest out of them all. Moving onto the South, in order from best to worst, Buccaneers, Luchadores, Birddogs and the Seawolves. Love the Bucs logo, something about a pirate on a logo and if it's done right always gets the top spot in my book. Having a team from Tijuana guarantees a high ranking in my book - logo is okay but love the creativity of the location choice. Birddogs and Seawolves are basically neck and neck for me. I put the Birddogs slightly higher than the Seawolves because of the logo. I do like the use of the radar behind the submarine however I have soft spot for dogs and I like how it's incorporated with the Dallas 'D'. There's my rankings. To any GMs/players/former players who may be looking at this - i'm sorry don't hate me! I would be happy to play for any well-run organization even if the mascot is a grey duck. SHL Affiliate Link RE: (S31) Ultimus Week - Kyamprac - 10-19-2021 Tier 1 I have talked many times about how much I love the Dallas Birddogs organization for a variety of reasons, citing specific names in all sorts of articles where we have been prompted to say nice things about the league. Despite that, there's always more to share and I love writing about them.. so here we go again on a nice Ultimus Week ramble. The core group I really want to highlight is the DSFL Season 24 draft class for Dallas. At the time Lim and Steg were our GMs, and, while I think it's fairly well known I don't have much love for Steg these days, I do have to give him and Lim a pile of credit for listening to feedback from the war room and drafting this stellar group back in the day. This draft class set the stage for a long chain of succession leading up to today, helping to maintain a number of traditions and keep the Birddogs the amazing team it is over the course of 7 seasons since they joined the team. Each of the following individuals forms a "Mount Rushmore" of sorts, as they have all made huge contributions and a noteworthy mark on the team to date: r0tzbua (Guy Fields) I have sung the praises of r0tzbua many times on the forum, but I can never really say enough how much we appreciate everything he has done for Dallas. Our second pick in the season 24 draft (behind Madden, much to his chagrin) r0tz was mostly drafted for his dog, Finn (just kidding, but it did help his cause). He was also the first member of this class to become my co-GM shortly after Lim stepped down, at a bit of a tumultuous time when the team was undergoing a lot of change and we encountered some challenging people dynamics. But he stuck with it alongside me and continued to keep the team alive and well with the help of his co-GM Zoot long after I left. Aside from being ridiculously active and ready to help the team, he is also the reason Dallas moved on to the more modern brightly coloured branding we have today, and really helped to cultivate a lot of the culture the team developed in the "new" era of the Birddogs. After departing from GM, r0tz handed the reigns to Zoot who appointed this next amazing guy, Madden, as his co. Asked Madden (aka Raylan Crowder) Madden was the first pick Dallas made in the season 24 DSFL draft and is the one of the most recent members of this group to become GM of the Dallas Birddogs. Despite living in the future, he is continuously active in the Birddogs locker room and always finds ways to keep people engaged and talking about everything from haggis and meatballs to the rain in Scotland. Partially thanks to his daughter, he is even active in the locker room at times that most Europeans wouldn't be because I'm pretty sure he just never sleeps in the wee hours of the morning. He has always been a huge asset to the team in the war room and the locker room at large, and continues to mentor new dogs and support the old in his current role with the team. We have been so lucky to keep him around, especially as the other Scots that joined in this season seem to have mostly departed from the ISFL by now. ReverendOReily (Dick Leaking) I'm not going to lie, a good part of the reason the guys in the war room got excited about drafting Rev back in season 24 partially had to do with his player's name and the immature giggles everyone got out of it. Having said that, we couldn't have made a better pick here. Rev joined the Birddogs GM tree when Zoot stepped down and is currently co-GMing the team alongside Madden, and I don't think we could have asked for a better pairing. Anyone who knows Rev knows he's not only a smart and capable guy, but also one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet on the internet. He is a genuinely good person who has always brought great vibes to the locker room and proudly flown the Birddogs colours. Another longstanding contributor to the war room, there are no doubts in my mind that he will continue to hold the torch high when Madden departs and Dallas brings on another new GM. In short, this guy really "slaps". zaynzk (aka Bob Roberts) Zayn was a later pick for the Birddogs in this draft, and a bit of a flyer in some ways. There aren't even many comments on the draft board for him, but you wouldn't know it now as he also made a huge impact on the team (some that people view as positive or negative depending on which side of the Twitterverse they were on). He was probably most well known for running the team Twitter and stoking some controversy on there involving certain phallic rebrands and stoking old rivalries, but aside from that he was and continues to be super active and involved with the team. He still gets folks hyped up on game day, still helps to keep the locker room popping, and continues to support all Birddogs old and new as they move up from the DSFL to the big league. If he hadn't become a GM in the ISFL so early, he definitely would have joined the ranks of the "shadow dogs" (i.e. Dallas GMs) at some point earlier on. Ironically, all of these users were so amazing that they were all called up very quickly after joining the team. Despite having only been on the roster a short time, they have dedicated oodles of time to making Dallas a better place to spend time in in the ISFL. They made it very easy for GMs of the past to step down and know with certainty that the team was in good hands. Code: 988 words RE: (S31) Ultimus Week - Reno - 10-19-2021 15. After the Butchers win the Ultimus, which we’re guaranteed to win because we have away field advantage the rest of the way, I’d think that the Ultimus Game MVP would be Jason Garciaparra. Jason is a huge threat on the field, so he probably got like 4 sacks during the game to dominate. Because he’s the game MVP he’s gonna be going to Disney and he’s going to go on a wild series of adventures. First of all, Jason would probably miss the flight to Disney. The dumpster he lives in gets awful cell reception so he didn’t get the call that his limo was here. Once he actually gets to Disney, he’s going to do the Jason Garciaparra honored tradition; talking to random strangers about his thoughts on birds. Jason can do this for a good four hours or so before realizing he’s in Disney and should probably go on one of the rides. Jason would also likely get banned from the rides after seeing his photo taken on one of them and smashing everything in sight because the government is spying on him. So in conclusion, Jason Garciaparra will be the Ultimus MVP, and his Disney celebration will be full of conspiracy theories and getting banned for destruction of property. 17. Brand new Butchers stadium is being built and there’s a lot of new additions that we’re going to see. First of all to fulfill the impending arrival of Tessie Garciaparra, we’re going to see the installation of a private quesadilla factory. Tessie is addicted to quesadillas and has been to rehab several times for this issue but the team will enable her because they’re the source of her power. Second addition to the stadium will be the Tree Gelbman memorial axe throwing center. Tree is alive just currently in locations unknown, so the memorial center will be maybe moot if she turns up at the stadium and trashes it. Now we’re also going to have the Nickleback Pavillion sponsored by Nickleback. For obvious reasons, Nickleback will be drawn to this team. They’ll want to put on tons of concerts for the team free of charge because of our sponsorship with them. This will result in Chad Kroger building a somewhat illegal pavilion with his own two hands and performing tons of concerts there. Because he’s nice no one will tell him not to and it’s just going to stay there until it inevitability collapses. New Butchers stadium is gonna be great, can’t wait. 19. Coming to CBS this fall, The Tessie Garciaparra show. The show will be told in a style where each season is a brand new story for each season. So season one is going to start out fairly basic like a basic family comedy does. Just some lighthearted drama involving relationships and friends not understanding each other before they all hug it out and things are perfect. This season will feature a crazy comic relief neighbor (played by Jason Garciaparra) who will be the best character according to all the fan polls. The second season will involve Tessie fighting aliens who come to invade Earth and destroy Luxembourg. The series gets a lot more serious here, as there’s actual drama and seriously tense moments that result in a lot of tears. The comic relief neighbor is used too much and becomes the series most hated character according to all the fan polls. The third season is the experimental season, showing how Tessie is struggling as a movie director despite never showing any interest in the profession. She directs some awful movie called “Jaws 5: 2 Jaws 2 Furious” before getting arrested for tax fraud in Tibet. The comic relief neighbor is written out of the show without any explanation or acknowledgement he existed. 31. WBSL PT Affiliate RE: (S31) Ultimus Week - g2019 - 10-19-2021 Code: 6. Write 800 words or more on something about anything in the league that interests you. It could be related to statistics, a league issue that you take seriously, or a niche part of history that doesn’t fit neatly into either of the above categories. This must be directly related to the league, so don’t wax 800 words about your team’s participation on a Werewolf server or something. With the 2nd pick of the first round, Norfolk selected Sconnie McKicks - K/P. It became apparent early on that McKicks would be position swapping, and he and negs landed on him being the team's middle linebacker. A new create who had no prior sim league experience, negs saw something in McKicks during scouting conversations that led him to gamble on him at 2oa. Since that time, McKicks changed his name to McHits, was voted a team captain, broke the new sim record for tackles in a season, was voted Most Dedicated Member in the DSFL, Linebacker of the Year, and Defensive Rookie of the Year, served on the Awards Committee, worked as a backup updater, served as a WFC Federation co-head, and was named Norfolk GM. He was selected 5th overall by the Colorado Yeti in this season's ISFL draft. McHits has career totals of 242 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, and 2 "McSixes". With the 2nd pick of the second round, Norfolk selected French Fries - OL. Fries was a favorite of his fellow rookies with his easygoing nature and competitive drive, and negs rolled the dice on another new create with his 2nd round pick. While he originally thought he'd like to stay as an offensive lineman, Fries eventually decided to switch to wide receiver, and he never looked back! Fries led the league in receiving yards as a rookie and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. He also worked as a member of the budget team and assisted with some sim testing for the team. He was selected 12th overall by the New York Silverbacks and figures to be a big time contributor for them in the near future. Fries has career totals of 193 receptions for 3181 yards with 21 touchdowns...just insane numbers that any receiver in the league would be thrilled to hit. With the 2nd pick of the third round, Norfolk selected Spike Daniels - S. Spike was a solid prospect who showed maturity and a willingness to put in the work to be successful. Negs took his 3rd new create in a row and guess what, it paid off again. Spike added another leader to the Norfolk defense, churned out quality media, was a finalist for Safety of the Year, and made the Pro Bowl as a rookie. He is currently serving as the defensive captain for the Seawolves. He was selected 14th overall by the Sarasota Sailfish and will likely be heading up to the big club next season to make his mark on the ISFL. Daniels has been steady at the safety spot, with career totals of 103 tackles and 6 interceptions to go along with 18 pass deflections. Lastly, with the 2nd pick of the fourth round, Norfolk selected Malcolm Savage - QB. To get your franchise QB in the 4th round is an absolute steal, especially one as multi-faceted as Savage. Moosey is currently the offensive captain for Norfolk and is incredibly involved in the league with his graphics work, notably for the draft and award streams. After a sometimes bumpy rookie season, Savage is poised to compete for MVP in his second season and appears to be the cream of the crop as far as active DSFL QBs go. He was selected 10th overall by the Austin Copperheads and aims to be their QB of the future after he hangs up the cleats in Norfolk. In his two seasons in Norfolk, Savage has a 61% completion percentage, with 48 touchdowns and 24 interceptions and a career quarterback rating of 92.1. As a mobile quarterback, he also has 521 yards and 8 touchdowns rushing. In their other rounds, Norfolk managed to snag an electrifying #2 wide receiver in Malcador "The Hero", an excellent outside linebacker in Nathan Claflin, and a few inactives at the end of the draft, while also adding a very good defensive tackle in Nep Neppy immediately post-draft. Looking back at this class, the value that these four picks (and the other ones they made) have had to Norfolk is unbelievable. After suffering with poor records and poor send-down luck for years, this core group of players has helped guide Norfolk back to the playoffs by max earning, getting heavily involved in the team, the locker room, and the league, and being leaders in a team that was searching for leadership. Now we'll see if they will be a one-and-done or if this team has an Ultimini run in them! (809 words) - 10 TPE RE: (S31) Ultimus Week - Fatfish89 - 10-19-2021 10. (5 TPE) Getting to Know the Rookie Class - by fatfish89 This seasons draft class features many great and fascinating rookies we look forward to seeing in action in both the bowls leading up to the draft and through out the season. In today's segment we will be focusing on the player most people say reminds them more of a professional wrestling heel than a football player Thokk the Scarred. A Large green beast of a being or Orc as he prefers to be called, Thokk is covered from head to toe in tattoos and scars hence the name. When asked about what he thinks his violent style of play will bring to the game he only gave a one word answer "Pain." While this does seem like the response of some WWE heel when watching his college highlight reel of bone crushing hits and injury inflicting playstyle you know this isn't hyperbole. His playstyle is often criticized for being too violent for modern football but leading IDK in sacks, Forced Fumbles, and Tackles all three years there leading to 2 conference championships seems to say this style of play may be rough but still very effective. HE is seen as a slow plodding player by some who thinks he will have trouble in coverage and moving laterally. His real football strength lies in the boom he brings when laying the lumber to other players namely running backs. I would hope he goes to a team where he can primarily be used either in pass rush or run stoppage situations where he should excel at clogging the lanes and knocking the ball out of the offensive player's hands. While many know him as a great football talent I decided to dive deeper and see what his interests outside of football may be. What many do not know is while at IDK Thokk studied music and preformed solo several times often signing the accompanying part in a falsetto voice you would never expect from the player labeled the most dangerous player in college football. I was fortunate enough to catch his final show on campus where he did a tribute to the late great Israel Kamakawiwoʻole often known as IZ. It is so odd to see a person who is so violent on the football field appear almost serene and peaceful up on a stage wearing a lei and signing somewhere over the rainbow. It is always nice to know that the future of football will be played by such cultured people even if this people intend to just bring "Pain" to the league. 19. (2.5 TPE) If Thokk had a show staring him you would want to know what crazy executive signed off on a World of Warcraft or Dungeons and Dragons rip off tv show. He would probably still play your typical knuckle dragger orc either as a warrior or barbarian but with appropriate balances of humor or just things that seem opposite of what you would expect. I also believe it would have a common theme of him trying to solve all of his problems through sheer strength and brute force but then someone else on the cast trying to show him a better way to do it. Of course this theme would be interrupted from time to time where this nice peaceful solution would not work in an isolated event and Thokk would be allowed to use his muscle to solve the problem. I think this show would probably only run for 3 to 5 seasons as the constant trope and cycle would eventually bore viewers and Thokk would want to leave acting to try for a career in movies because of his ego after having a semi successful tv show or to a career in MMA because he missed the violence of contact sports. 25. (2.5 TPE) If LB was not available I would definitely choose TE. I have played it in other simulation leagues I love the mismatches it creates for most defenses with either the LBs being too slow or the CBs too small. Highlights of guys getting burned by tight ends or run over are some of my favorite also if I were to play an offensive position in football this is what I would want to play. I also believe TEs are some of the toughest guys on football fields I have never seen another position so regularly take a big shot from a defensive player then stand up clapping about the quality hit they just received. I also believe this is a position group in real life teams will never be able to fully account for because if you get a LB who can run with a TE then he is probably going to get bowled over in the run game and DBs will never be able to match the sheer size of the position as they need to maintain too much speed and agility. Also I am a Pats fan so I got to watch a lot of years of Gonkowski just destroying defenses followed by those powerful spikes. RE: (S31) Ultimus Week - CptGoosar - 10-20-2021 Pythons S31 Draft Class The Portland Pythons welcomed 8 new hatchling to the Pythons nest over this past season. I thought I’d give 5 mins of my time talking about both what the player has achieved as well as the user in the LR. Round:1 Pick:5 (5 OA) User: @visceralpotamus Name: Pasta the Turtle Position: LB Well what can we say about the Pythons first pick in the draft, Pasta has been one hell of a user. They’ve been a fantastic presence within the locker room being vocal and providing constant excitement and entertainment in the locker room. For a new user in the ISFL this is more than could have been hoped for. A small, but I think, extremely critical part of Pasta attitude was his willingness to swap positions when asked too. He was drafted as an O line member but sealed to a line backer role to aid the team. This says enough about who the Pythons were fortunate to draft. A further bonus is the amount of TPE he managed to earn in his first season, amassing a total of 260 TPE at the time of writing. Now for his player, Pasta has amassed a 91 tackles in his first season. Leading the Pythons in tackles. In addition to his 91 tackles he managed to achieve 8 tackles for loss. More amazingly he forces two fumbles and recover both of them. Though his most outstanding performance is the 10 sacks he recorded, matching the number of sacks for any linebacker in the DSFL. He also snagged a single INT which he took to the house for a pick 6. A very very good first season in the DSFL and hopefully the start of great things for Portland as the face of their defence. Round: 2 Pick: 5 (13 OA) User: @PugWalrus Name: Spicy Ron Position: DE Simply put another hit for Portland here in the second round. Spicy was Portland second defensive player in as many round. Similar to Pasta, Spicy Ron has been a great addition to the Pythons locker room. A very quick witted member of the Locker room he never fails to put a smile on my face reading some of his comment about stuff. He’s been great presence. A special method should go to both Pasta and Spicy’s chatter about best build paths for their players. Both are constantly asking great questions about effects attribute have on the sim etc. Now for Spicy player, he had frankly an outstanding season for a rookie. Making 82 tackles with 11 tackles for loss. He forces five fumbles in the season and managed to recover two then, however was unable to bring any of those into a defensive score. As a defensive tackle he was able to sack the Quaterback 10 times in his rookie season, hopefully he’ll be able to increase that number next year and form a great defensive platform with himself and Pasta. It must be noted that one of his 10 sacks was tackles in the end zone and thus resulted in a safety. He was able able to add a single INT as well. Round: 3 Pick: 5 (21 OA) User: @SecondSucks22 Name: Fenrir Greyback Position: DT With the 3rd round selection the Pythons continued to add to their defensive strength by selection a second DT in as many rounds. Fenrir, hopefully would provide some of his werewolf strength to the front line, was to provide a strong start to his DSFL career earning at a great rate and looked to be one of the best late rounds picks in this draft. However he failed to continue earning at the same rate an eventually dropped off the earning platform, maxing out at 115 TPE. Hopefully he’ll be able to come back next season and continue earning those sweet TPE’s and build upon a decent first season. A decent season for Fenrir all things considered, contributing to 49 tackles with 3 for loss. However his production of pressure on the Quarterback was limited only mangling two sack all season, though one of those sacks was for a safety. Hopefully he’ll be able to improve over the next season and recorded a high number of sacks and tackles next season. If your reading this Fenrir, we would love to have you back in the Portland nest. Round: 4 Pick: 5 (37 OA) User: @BeastTakeover Name: Marquess Brown Position: RB BeastTakover started the seaon of well quickly earning a good amout of TPE however that dropped off as the season went on. However when it came to the on-feild production Marquess was a monster for a rookie, rushing for just shy of 800 yards with 200 attempts, more amazingly he manged to find the end zone 9 times over the season. If you find your way back to the ISFL, you've got one hell of start to your career and bright things ahead of you. Portland had 5 other selection in the S31 DSFL draft, taking some great prospects who were as follows Jakobi Manoux – TE (61st OA) / Timothy Teboat – TE (45 OA) / Lockk’Eddd Upmf – S (53 OA) Regardless of the Unfortunately, I was never able to get to know any of these hatchling very well at all, as most fled the nest at a far too younger age. Each would make a great addition to the Portland locker room and every single member of the Portland locker room would be externally happy to each and every single one of you back in the locker room. In conclusions, the Portland draft was a great success making see real great picks and forming what will hopefully be a very strong defense for the future of Portland. It really is looking like it’ll be a great few season ahead for Portland. I can’t wait to be helping out in the future and helping to build a strong Portland dynasty with @TubbyTim69 and every single member of the Portland locker room. RE: (S31) Ultimus Week - Raven - 10-20-2021 Code: 15. Going to Disneyland! Who was the Ultimus Game MVP? Give us a rundown of their celebratory trip to Disneyland. (Can be completed after the Ultimus game) What an amazing run by the Honolulu Hahalua. From being the away seed in the wild card to winning the ultimus. There were many heroes in the Ultimus final. Ranging from Cobra Kai, who ran a touchdown in, with 120 yards on a 7.5 yard average, Salamanca brought his a-game and went 130 yards for a 16.2 average with 2 touch downs. Guy Fields popped off with 4 tackles, 5 pass deflectons and an interception. So many good preformances, but I will give the MVP edge to Salamanca. He broke the early tie with the colorado yeti and when we needed him the most in the final minutes he came through again. Salamanca's celebratory trip to Disneyland all starts off by visiting his favourite attraction. Splash Mountain. He loves when the boat hits the water and makes the big splash. He also went on a hunt to find all his favourite disney charachters. He made a checklist and sought out each and everyone of them. First it was Gooft, then it was Elsa, followed by Buzz and Woody from Toy Story. Oh what a joy, in the middle of his hunt he also made time for more rides. It's a little world and the haunted mansion were some of his favourites. He found Scar and captain hook and decided to have a villianous photoshoot with them. All in all a great day for Salamanca. Are they a great locker room presence who encourages others? Do they play an important but unappreciated role on the team which doesn't receive much recognition for awards? We have so many great users in our locker room it is hard to point just one out, because I think all of them deserve a shout out post. For this post I will shoutout the great OD, mister OribitingDeath himself. He is our mandatory offensive captain every uneven year, so I have to say good things about him. OD is always super cool and when we ask him to do something for us he is always right on top of it. You need a great looking siggy made for yourself or a loved one? Boom, OD has got your back and will deliver one of his lovely sigs. You need someone to compete against catching a pokemon in the pokemon discord channel, enter OD. You need somone for some friendly talking with. OD will deliver. I feel like I also have to give a shoutout to Icebear, because since joining the team he has taken the team to heart and this season helped out tremendously with the making of the team magazine. Using his wizard like tech skills to be able to throw together a fantastic looking piece of media for the team. He is a great person overall and I hope to see him continue his greatness. This one is for my boy Moonlight. I think he deserves the best chances when it comes to Linebacker of the year. His player, the mighty Big Slammu, had a monsterous season. Only to be absolutely sim fucked by the resim that happened in week 16. The big man at the end of the day had a stat line as such. 114 tackles (tied 3rd in the league, 8 TFL (Tied 3rd in the league), 19 sacks (2nd in the league), 1 interception, 9 pass deflections, 1 safety and 1 defensive touchdown. What an absolute stat line. The reason I brought up the resim is that in the original sim, Big Slammu would have been top of the sack stat with 20 sacks, while his main competitor Domine would have had 19. However in the resim, Domine went from a 1 sack day to a 2 sack day and my boi Big Slambo went from a 1 sack day to a 0 sack day. Now it is hard to argue that the non official stats should count for something, but it is such an unfortunate thing that a resim had to happen. Especially when his player had been doing so well this season. 20 sacks is always a big achievement and that got stripped away. I just hope he wins the LBoTY award. [223 words] Code: 31. Your team has announced that they will be laying ground on a new stadium next season. What additions would you like to see included in it. No graphics option available here. The best addition to a new stadium has to be the scoreboard. We all know that the Dallas Cowboys AT&T stadium one is amazing, but with the SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles finally in use, i think they have the best one ever seen. And the Yellowknife Wraiths can't be left behind the Chargers and the Rams obviously. This means that the new Wraiths stadium would need something better than a 360 foot double sided 4k. Let's make it 720 foot, triple sided 8k, that weighs over 4 million pounds! Can you imagine watching a game there? At a certain point, even if you are sitting on the 50 yard line, you would rather just watch the game through the screens, as the quality would be way better than in reality for sure. If i may guess, i honestly think that with a state of the art scoreboard like this, the plays would show up first there than in the field, meaning you could warn Jay Cue Jr. about a fumble before the play was even called on the field. This would make betting a lot better also. In the end, a tens of millions of dollars scoreboard would be awesome for everyone involved. (204 words) 21. Now thats three seasons on the new sim. What are your thoughts? Do you think that it is better than DDSPF16? I guess that by now we can say that the 21 version of the sim is better than the 16 one. But it is still just a game, meaning that strange stuff will always happen. And by strange i mean unexpected results that if we do analyze them, are not so strange after all. And to be fair, i honestly love the drama the sim causes in the league when teams decide to go for it on a 4th and 11 on their own 20 yard line, with 3 minutes to go in the first quarter. It just makes things much more exciting, as you can have the perfect team and strategy setup for the game and then everything goes belly up with decisions like that. What is there not to love, especially if you check the league discord during those times? But for me the best part of the new sim is that the playoffs still are not implemented. Yes, you heard me, there is no post season in the sim. Weird perhaps, but playing the playoffs just means more possibilities to be annoyed at something, so i think it is much better like this. You just play 16 games and then the season is over and you can look forward to the next one. (216 words) 25. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why? I would probably have gone with some defensive position. Hell, i definitely should have gone with some position on defense. A position where you do not need to max earn to have an impact on the games, i do not even care which one if i am honest. Not that i am not having fun with the running back Cue Jr., but there is always an immense amount of pressure to get that TPE as, unlike the last sim, you do need a certain amount of TPE on your RB build to really start having an impact. And i have been doing that for over 2 years now, going from QB to RB without a single week off. I am having fun of course, or else i would just retire and recreate, but some weeks i would rather just not care with doing point tasks or be concerned with my fake league money, if i have enough for equipment and weekly training and all that. But i still like to try and be the best and carry the sorry bunch of players that i have the displeasure of sharing a locker room and team colors with. At least i am the highest paid player on the team. Or maybe not. (210 words) 31. Affliate PT from either SHL/PBE/WSBL. The Weeks must match with the timeframe of this UW.
