(S3) - Weekend PT #2 - What's in a name? - timeconsumer - 09-16-2017 @bovovovo Angus Winchester appreciates your kind words. Although the real Angus Winchester is a pit bull. He probably appreciates it also but he's a little too busy chewing on his foot right now to get a read on it. Scrub Kyubee is one of them. Honestly, I had no idea how even to say this until one of the podcasts said it and I laughed a lot. I think this is absolutely hysterical and props to that name. Iyah Blewitt is also a great name for a kicker. Imagine the announcers talking and trying to say Iyah Blewitt going to kick, yeah he blew it! LEEEEEEEROY JENKINSSSSSSS of course is something that is hilarious, but that is really just funny to say. Darren Smallwood, well, because the young in me comes out with that one. Clifford reminds me of Clifford the big red dog. We have guys with awesome nicknames like CAKE! You can just sing that stupid Rihanna song for that one. Bojo Kicksitt is always funny, but that is expected from Bojo. Then, we have names that are common within other leagues such as Boss and Varga. It is always fun to see different names in sim leagues when people's creativity runs wild. We always see who the people are that have no creativity and those who are fun. You really see a lot about someone's personality by the name they come up with. No, not the Otters Running Back. The original Leroy Jenkins. The LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOY Jenkins. One of the earliest viral videos in the history of the internet. Everyone has seen it or heard of it. Leroy Jenkins became infamous. The beauty of the clip was that everyone was planning this elaborate stealth attack, which Leroy Jenkins completely ruins. The question is, how does that relate to the NSFL? Is Leroy Jenkins ignoring play-calling? Is he ignoring where his blockers are going? Abandoning routes? Just running into the defense with no care in the world like the original Leroy Jenkins? I do not think a team would want that. So maybe this Leroy Jenkins is a bit more behaved than the original Leroy Jenkins was. But sometimes, yes sometimes he can go and create a crazy play just by running into the defense like a crazed maniac screaming his own name. LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOY Jenkins The man, the myth, the legend. What a fantastic name based on a very amazing video clip that showed the courage and craziness of one man. I wonder what happened to the real Leroy Jenkins. Where is he in the world today? Does he tell everyone at parties that he is Leroy Jenkins? When Adam created his player I think he must have had some inkling of eventually creating an American themed team in Philadelphia. Lincoln Jefferson is a pretty great throwback to some of America’s most famous Presidents and now he is the founder of the Philadelphia Liberty team. Obviously the name isn’t something that is extremely creative or hilarious. However, Adam’s creation of the player and then eventual creation of a team based in the nation’s original capital with the Liberty Bell as its logo is probably the best foresight anybody in the league could have imagined or just a really happy and fitting coincidence. I don’t foresee Lincoln Jefferson ever leaving the Philadelphia Liberty but if he ever does it would be a travesty to the best GM name and team name combination the in the league. Hopefully next time you are checking out the Philadelphia Liberty roster you take a second to appreciate Lincoln Jefferson’s name and make the word association with the Taco Bell looking Liberty Bell logo and former Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson. Coming from a long line of Booters, Archibald’s family name clearly predates the sport of football, meaning that they likely made their living crafting shoes. From long before the pilgrims set sail to America, the Booters made their money with their hands, working tirelessly to provide a shoe worthy of their family name. And, with a name like Archibald, this man was clearly destined for big things. Only Archibald lacked the abnormally large, calloused hands that the Archibald men (and unfortunately also the women) were known to possess, hardened by the work of their ancestors. Archibald was a bright lad and some foresaw him running the family empire, but young Archibald yearned to make a living through his own hard work… even if he couldn’t follow in his forefathers’ footsteps. And so, Archibald spent his life training for the only other profession that could do justice to the Booter name, a kicker for a football team. And that work has clearly paid off, rewarding his youthful days of hard work with a job kicking and punting for the Wraiths. The cold was difficult to deal with, but Booter men had dealt with harsh conditions before and still persevered. After all, Archibald had worked too hard to get where he was today. And now he stands proud, paving a new path for the future of the Archibald name… regardless of the size of his descendants' hands. 270 Words @PoloPro |
