The "first come, first serve" on send-downs really bothers me. I think all players coming to the DSFL post-draft should be waivers, and I think that giving teams that lose a player to call-ups higher priority would offset the pain a little.
I agree 100% something so easy could help teams tremendously.

the problem with the dsfl was that it was started too early. Great idea but it can't be implemented when all the teams have 2 players that aren't created by ballerstorm

Why can't we do what SHL does? Player gets drafted to the DSFL team and if he were to get sent down by any team, he would go to that affiliate. Also, I think people that are drafted into the DSFL would be forced to play that season there.
I also like the college and college scholarships idea as well, just curious on this.

Every player starts their career in the DSFL and plays their first season there. Then they enter the NSFL draft and if they get sent down they go to the DSFL team who has their rights.

They are going through waivers just like all post draft rookies go through waivers.
