(S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - ItsJustBarry - 11-26-2017 With the long Thanksgiving break, Trey Willie used this time to travel back home to visit with friends and family that he doesn’t get to see very often. Since moving out east, he doesn’t get that time that he was used to spending with them. After a heart breaking loss on Wednesday night, Trey flew home to stay for the extended weekend. He flew in and was picked up at the airport by his longtime friend. From there, they went out partying since after all it was blackout Wednesday. After closing down the bars, he was able to Uber home safely without sexually assaulting the driver, which in 2017 is pretty impressive. Once he woke up on Thursday, he traveled over to his extended family’s house to celebrate. After gorging on tons of delicious food, he played some games with his cousins before going back for some more food. Once evening arrived, he went back to his mom’s house to spend the rest of the evening with her. On Friday, he was back in the gym as he had to now work double time to prepare for his upcoming games on Monday. On Sunday, he traveled back home to Baltimore to meet up with his teammates and coaches to finalize their game plan. 213 words (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - Evok - 11-26-2017 The weekend before thanksgiving, Stone always try to go do some volunteering in some organization that help the children’s and want to offer them a good holiday. As for the day itself, Thanksgiving is the holiday Wallace Stone prefer. This blessed day was to celebrate harvest of the past year and other blessings. As he’s Canadian, Stone didn’t celebrate the holiday in November, but in October. The Stone family normally gather at Wallace’s grandparents home. The Stone are a huge family and it’s always a big event. The family usually prepare at least two turkeys and plenty of other plates in order to be able to feed everyone. Most of Stone’s brothers are also athletes and they eat copious plates. After the dinner, the family all gather to watch the Canadian football league doubleheader, the Thanksgiving Day Classic. As the holiday is on a Monday, most of the time it’s not long after the end of the game that everyone goes back home. 163 words (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - jparks98 - 11-27-2017 Johnathon Saint decided to spend his holiday like he always does. He gathers his family and head to his lodge in Denver, Colorado. This thanksgiving was a little bit different. Since thanksgiving was so close to the Colorado Yeti’s first win, Johnathon Saint decided to invite his his teammates to spend thanksgiving together. Every teammate had to bring their own dish to lodge. Pierno brought a fryer and a freshly hunted Turkey for fried turkey. He almost blew up the entire lodge because of it. The turkey was worth the near-death experience though. Tweed bought the BEST dressing in the entire world. Wozy brought some homemade pumpkin pie in a sweet potato crust. i don't know how he put it together but it was amazing! Sandoval bought some broccoli casserole. It had rice and grilled chicken cooked in it; it was the bomb. It's safe to say, coach was a little more than pissed at us at practice the next day (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS - 11-27-2017 ![]() (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - toivo - 11-27-2017 Noah Goodson got down on some Thanksgiving food. The Goodson family, about 15 people, got together at the grandparents house. It was kind of odd going back home, after being in the media so much, people acted a little different. That's what happens when you come into serious money all of a sudden. But yeah, Thanksgiving was good, Goodson didn't have a game so he got to hang out and watch some football for once outside of the tape room. Food was good, was almost going to Deep Fry a frozen turkey, but someone said it would burn down the house. The turkey couldn't be thawed in time, so a run to Bojangles was in store. Bojangles offers a seasoned turkey with sides at an affordable price. Who can pass on Bojangles' biscuits, they're great. Noah Goodson enjoyed the time off but after eating all that food, he was ready to get back into the right diet and habits. (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - sapp2013 - 11-27-2017 Andre Bly Jr. and the rest of the defensive backs from DBDT, aka Defensive Back Development Team, aka the Kansas City Coyotes, all got together with their families on thanksgiving in Andre's Colorado home. All the food was made by one of Andre's close friends from Spain, who is now a head chef at a 5-star restaurant in Colorado. Just the basics, Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and assorted veggies throughout. Although it was basic, boy was it phenomenal, adding spices from around the world that had the men eating twice as much as they would on a normal thanksgiving day. They finished the meal with a couple slices of either apple pie or pumpkin pie, and some had a little of each. plenty of leftovers to go around and they ate through the weekend. after a quick siesta, they got some ball throwing in and finished off with Finding Dory with the young ones. all in all, one successful Thanksgiving Weekend. And by right, I mean contrary to what everyone else does. Turkey? Na. RIBS, son. Stuffing? That's fine because it's delicious. No time for gravy, bring on the wings. The pilgrims did alright, sure, but why hold back on the absolutely endless potential on a day of celebrated hedonism? Chocolate cake and hot fudge for the whole family. But wait, it didn't stop with the food. Dustin Evans took the whole family out to see a Vitas concert in Russia. It was delightfully awful. Sweatpants, the beeping and the bopping, a slew of (now legally obtained) puppies, what could make this day any better? Simple, bobbing for smart phones. It's an easy game. Everyone throws their smart phones into a kiddy pool and tries to fish them out with their teeth before they become useless. What a wonderful turkey(less) day it's been. (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - ErMurazor - 11-27-2017 This Thanksgiving Jayce Tuck took some time away from the game and spent some quality time with his lady and his family. During the week away from the game Jayce was able to unwind and unplug from the league, an experience he found to be truly relaxing and enjoyable. As part of this regimen Jayce went to town on some classic Thanksgiving foods. Obviously there was turkey, but the Tuck family does not do a boring old roast turkey. Jayce has smoked and deep fried turkey that really spice up the holiday. To go with the bird feast the usual sides were included: dressing, green beans, potatoes, broccoli, yams, cranberry relish, fruit salad, biscuits, and most importantly pie. Now Jayce can get down with the main meal but his favorite part of Thanksgiving has got to be that homemade pumpkin pie. The pie in itself is probably Jayce’s favorite dessert and he would happily it after every meal, but the kicker during the holiday is topping that pie with some homemade whipped cream. (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - RedCydranth - 11-27-2017 Marc Spector spent his Thanksgiving in South Portland, Maine visiting a college friend of his, and his family. Richard Sach was a lineman when Spector played for the Rice Owls and the two have maintained some contact in the last few seasons. Marc was invited by Richard and his wife Elaine at the beginning of the month. He originally was going to spend it with Marlene Alraune's family in Saratoga Springs but she was called away to a job interview Wednesday evening. Marc called Richard last minute and asked if he could join them. After receiving a yes from the Sach family, Marc took a red eye to Boston and drove north to Maine where he met up with his hosts. They all had the traditional feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing and green bean casserole. They watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on ABC and spent the evening sipping on whiskey and playing cards. They recounted many of their games from college and antics they pleyed on the coaches and professors. Richard announced that Elaine was pregnant, and thus abstaining from alcohol intake. The child is due in late June. All in all it was a very nice evening and nothing crazy or out of the ordinary occurred. (209 words) (S5) - Weekend PT #5 = Turkey Day - ADwyer87 - 11-27-2017 This Thanksgiving, King Bronko had a day to remember. First, he went to his mom and dads house and helped cook. Bronko may be well known for his football abilities, but he can whip it in the kitchen with the best of em. Next up, his extended family came over. His cousin kept coming over to him and talking about how awesome Bronko's plays were. His uncle kept asking if he could come help his kid throw a spiral when he has the chance. His other uncle kept talking about how bad he was and how the only reason the Outlaws won any rings is through cheating. Yeah, he's a Liberty fan. And his aunt told him not to be so rough out there, make sure to stay warm, and even made him a hand-knitted hand warmer he can use during the game. After that, on Black Friday, Bronko picked one lucky kid and let him have a shopping spree where he could buy everything he picked up in 5 minutes. What a guy, amirite? |
