(S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - CDub2 - 01-06-2018 There has been a great start to the 2018 year. Cameron Taylor has meshed with his new team, the Wraiths are off the a 2-0 start, and Cameron Taylor nabbed his first career INT in the NSFL debut (something I predicted during the week). So far so good for Taylor. To set a goal on something so volatile as a football season seems near sighted, so Taylor has chosen a New Year's resolution from something you'd find on the side of a Lululemon bag. Taylor wants to increase his water intake to 4 litres a day. His previous 2 litres is a healthy amount, but with his new Wraiths workout regimen, loads of playing time, and hectic lifestyle, 4 litres would help a lot to keep Taylor in tip top shape. In order to fit 4 litres of liquid in a day, it means Taylor has cut out other drinks like pop, milk, and juice. A nice post-game beer stays part of the diet, but the other liquids have been eliminated which has also helped him stay lean. We will see how long this Resolution lasts before the sweet taste of orange juice calls his name. Expect about two months 200 Words (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - White Cornerback - 01-06-2018 Lavelle's New Year Resolution? Have his greatest career season, period. It's no secret that Lavelle came off his greatest ever season in his four year tenure in the NSFL, capping a 5 interceptions and 20 pass deflections. After coming off statistically his worst year the season before, Lavelle is aiming high, he NEEDS a career year. The best CB in the league needs to step his game up and end the year on the top of the cornerback rankings list. Lavelle's already began on his way to his career year with 5 pass deflections from the opening 2 games of the season. Although whether this form continues is another matter entirely. Consistency is a real thing that cornerbacks in the NSFL struggle with and often even the best of the best will go from all pro to undrafted in a matter of minutes despite their actual ability. Let's see what happens during the rest of the year. (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - ghostfacethrilla - 01-06-2018 Well it’s 2018 and my New Year’s Resolution is get fuckin’ swole. Ruckus is hittin’ the gym and puttin’ in that time with the Pythons training staff to get swole as fuck and fast as fuck. I’ve already increased my speed and agility and now my strength is pretty fuckin’ high over 70 too. My resolution is to keep getting’ them gains and becoming the best safety in the league’s history. I’m going strong safety too so it’s going to be mostly tackles and shit, but I’m ok with the occasional interception too. Either way, I’m going big this season and trying to get drafted after 1 season with the Pythons. My next goal is to get a ton more money. Bobby been slacking on getting’ that CREAM, so next few weeks I’ll be puttin’ in overtime to get that media guap. Gotta let the fans know about the Wu-Tang style. ----------- 151 words (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - Bzerkap - 01-07-2018 Well, there's this little position called QB, and in that position we have a bunch of old stooges that can't move. There's also a couple of guys with a sleek, defined figure that really know how to gallop. Those two are Pierno and Akselsen. However, we all know that Akselsen is the relevant one here. The major issue, however, is that I DON'T GET ANY YARDS ON THE GROUND. How the hell can I call myself a running QB when I don't run the ball and only average like 4 yards a carry. What the hell is this bullshit? I'll tell you what I'm doing in 2018, I'm improving my speed and I'm improving my agility and I'm gonna get over 300 yards in at least one season. Maybe I need some more endurance too, I guess I am on the field the whole time and it's a bit necessary to stay in shape. I mean, it's really starting to get ridiculous the low amount of yards I get on the ground. 2018 Resolution - Get gud (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - 124715 - 01-07-2018 Paul DiMirio knows what he's going to do to get better, and it's not blocking despite what most would think. The star TE filled in a chip-blocking role, especially when he was split every which way, spending the majority of snaps in the slot where he abused small slot corners. He is trying to expand his route tree. Last year he tried out some double moves with great success, and this year he hopes to master his stutter steps and post routes. Another thing is to work on coming out of a jet sweep and breaking into a route, something which DiMirio proved incapable at, causing the Liberty to have to close down their playbook a little bit. Now they've had great success, with Clifford Rove finding his stride and leading the league in passing TDs. DiMirio has even taken carries from the jet sweep in practice and the high school QB hopes that he will be given the option to pass the ball sometime. (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - Saliva^ - 01-07-2018 Clee Hardrool's New Year Resolution is changing almost nothing. The only thing he really needs now is winning the Ultimus Cup with the Yellowknife Wraiths team. His stats are pretty good and it wasn't a fluke. He became one of the defensive leaders on this team since he was traded from San Jose and he continues to put opponents offense to sleep. Also, his life is good. He's a free person, he does what he wants and when he wants, the only exception being the game day. So we could see he doesn't needs or to do a lot of things in this year, besides the aforementioned cup. He was having rough years being out of playoff contention with San Jose and it's time to get benefits from his work he's done so far. TL;DR: his only resolution will be doing everything he can to win the Ultimus Cup with his current team. And then another one...and the another one... (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - Battleborn - 01-07-2018 Ryan Sierra – DT – Orange County Otters Weekend PT #3 – New Year’s Resolution This new year is going to be Ryan Sierra's year of completion. He has many irons in the fire, as projects and commitments, where finishing these mean reaching goals he set are reached and dreams achieved. Of these projects, his non-profit organization he set up in his hometown of Reno, NV, provides the community's youth with a facility and sports programs to participate. Other items slated for completion this year are his September graduation for a second Master's Degree, this one in Servant Leadership. Purchasing his first home and paying off his parent's mortgage. Among the many small victories of finishing small goals, completing these on-the-field firsts will be a priority, winning a rookie of the week award, becoming the defensive rookie of the year, another. The new year will bring many opportunities to begin new projects and develop new goals. With having the resources and stability of a Championship NSFL organization as his employer, the support and leadership will enable Sierra to reach for the stars. (Word count: 188) (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - 37thchamber - 01-07-2018 New Years resolutions are silly things, as Antoine Delacour would put it. "I have an every day resolution," he says. "Be better than yesterday." Fans of the Baltimore Hawks, and indeed anyone paying attention to Delacour's performances of late would likely raise questions over whether the Louisiana born cornerback is keeping to that resolution. "I know my production isn't what it had been, but it's constantly being worked on." He explained. "I need to put in work, make sure I'm stepping up in every aspect of my life." This could go some way toward explaining the dropoff in production on the field. His wife has just given birth to their second daughter, and Delacour has been increasingly involved in the daily business of Third Eye Games -- which he owns a sizeable stake in -- and 187 Pictures, a movie production studio he has recently acquired shares in. "I know I have to keep my game strong on the field, but I also have to make sure I'm handling business off it. So I'm taking steps to make sure I can do both. For the sake of my family." (187 words) (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - tlk742 - 01-07-2018 New Year, new season. It should be really obvious but Sabercats Running Back Darren Smallwood is going to learn how to play runningback. It is not that different, right? Apparently, it is. You need to run with the ball not break away and catch. It’s a lot trickier than it sounds. Also new playbook. Smallwood was never really a gadget type player so it to work he really has to play to his strengths of being really agile and fast and strong and smart. Super simple. No really, I don’t know why they put me in charge of the running game, I mean I know why, but I think it was a crazy idea the fact that I have the second most yards in the ASFC is kinda astounding in itself but lets be real I am really not sure I will be a great runningback, sorry to all who drafted me in fantasy. (S5) - Weekend PT #3 - New Year's Resolution - Bwestfield - 01-07-2018 New year's resolutions are almost all the same and Bradley Westfield’s are no different. For starters he has decided to take off a little weight around the mid-section. After putting on a little weight in the offseason and the holidays he decided to take off a few pounds. Running on the treadmill and taking the fat off might be great but he will likely hit the weight room and put some muscle on while he is there. Soon he knows that he will need to work a little extra hard to get rid of the lipids on lipid, fat on fat. Eventually no matter how hard he tries he just wont be able to keep up. So he decided that he better get a head start. The only thing that he will need to do to keep it off and not put it back on is to stay away from the sweets. |
