You don't want players to stay there for 5+ seasons and then enter the NSFL with more TPE. The max in the DSFL is 4 seasons. I think bumping the regression to beginning in S8 but following TC's scale would suit us actually in hindsight. Regression, How would you do it? - SwagSloth - 01-25-2018 Honestly, you can max out your attributes for most archetypes in 7 years if you're really active. I can see the point in giving DSFL rookies 1 free season, but I think every season after you're eligible for the NSFL Draft should count regardless of where you play. Plus, it makes it easier to keep track of since the roster pages use the NSFL draft season as a start date. Just interested to see the difference between that season. The problem is what max earners are going to do for 8 seasons with zero regression. We really don't have room for that much TPE in some archetypes. A max earning DT or power back, for example, would fill up their passing and kicker stats to 25 and still end up with leftover TPE as at the end of S8 they'd have 1500+. Then you have to consider how someone with an extremely large bank of 1500 TPE when they really only need about 600 of that to play at 95% effectiveness is going to be playing at a maximum level basically through the end of S11 and still be better than a 2nd season player in S12. Regression, How would you do it? - AdamS - 01-25-2018 Given that the scale we do have is slightly more friendly then that one, I think that the scale itself isn't any issue n How its applied on the other hand is an important topic to discuss Regression, How would you do it? - timeconsumer - 01-25-2018 (01-25-2018, 06:55 PM)AdamS Wrote:Given that the scale we do have is slightly more friendly then that one, I think that the scale itself isn't any issue n The current listed scale is honestly almost useless. I've run plenty of numbers on it and it allows guys to play at a very high level for over 15 seasons. |
