(S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - Vikain - 03-18-2018 Ahh yes NSFL. The league that I play in. The league that I had most interceptions last year and only one this year. The league where a team has won three games in three seasons and none this season. So where am I going with this information no idea but I have to talk about the NSFL on here. Well what else can I talk about? Er is back or something. Philadelphia won their division which is cool. Hopefully I can get some picks in the playoff that would be cool. I hope regression doesn't hit me too hard next year. I wonder if this league will ever move to a different sim league. That would be cool to see some highlights. To12143 seems like a super nice guy shout out to him for posting a bunch of PTs. Philadelphia is going to win the Ultimus this year! I think. I hope. That would be cool. I miss Logan Noble. (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - TheMemeMaestro - 03-18-2018 So basically I am going to react to some ideas that have been spreading around the league for a bit now. Much like we saw with the revitalization of the Las Vegas Legion into the New Orleans Second Line, some people are calling for a rebrand of the Colorado Yeti name. They claim it will give the franchise a fresh start. However, there are some clear differences that we can point to. 1. LVL was a bad brand in the first place, as compared to COL which I find to be pretty decent. 2. COL has found some success before, as compared to LVL which had always been bad. 3. LVL switched due to the mass retirement schedule. If we were going to switch out branding it would have occurred after the Noble news broke, and it is pointless to switch now. So, to answer the rumors, I will not be switching the Colorado Yeti brand now or anytime soon. Thank you. (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - RedCydranth - 03-18-2018 We can write about anything? I like this PT idea. Let's do this every week. I love being on the Otters, and I don't think I'll ever get sick of winning. However, if we win this year, we'll be the second team to have a 3 year run of championships. Ours would be the first without any asterisks. In all honesty, even without the multis, I would give the Outlaws two of those rings still. I sincerely hope that the Otters run is coming to a close soon. Not because I grow weary of winning, or that I don't enjoy my team, but because there are 6 teams of players who, despite putting a LOT more effort into this league than the bulk of us Otters do, don't get their dividends. I feel bad for those who're loyal to Colorado. I feel bad for the Wraiths who were so close but yet so far. I feel bad for the Sabercats, who finally hit paydirt and made playoffs, and if they fall to us this week, watch their dreams get crushed yet again. I have so much respect for the multitude of players who dedicate themselves to these teams and haven't even whiffed success. If we lose to San Jose, nobody will be rooting harder for them than I. As much as I respect Philly, who would be the only other team I'd really want to play for, and Yellowknife for always being a competitor, I've gained a massive amount of respect for San Jose and the hole they climbed from only a few seasons ago. Nothing makes me happier than to see a rags to riches story. If OC can't win a ring this year, I'd be happy to see San Jose keep the ASFC the premier division in the NSFL. But until we're out of the hubt, I'm all in on the Otters threepeat. (More than enough words) (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - DeathOnReddit - 03-18-2018 Damn really running out of ideas have we? SMH dying league. What Im gonna talk about is how incredible I am of a GM. Im pretty sure Im the greatest gm to have ever been a GM. Whether it be in real life or in sim leagues I highly doubt youll find someone who is better than me. I dont care what your opinion is because its probably wrong, all that matters is my opinion. And as you know I am never wrong, which means I am of course the best GM in the NSFL. You can tell because I have never had a record below .500 unlike some other gms, who have never had a record above .500 as the main gm, like @bovo You suck bovo. Im running out of things to describe how incredible I really am. Dont do this to me next time Oles. I am the best, and that is a fact. (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - tbone415 - 03-18-2018 After the New Orleans Second Line defeated the Yeti in week 7 at home because the Yeti suck and shouldn’t be allowed to play football, Terrell Brister was getting out of his pads when he looked over at his QB Borkus Maximus III. Something about him was different about him… something nice… it lit a fire in Terrell. He wanted Borkus. He needed Borkus. Terrell walked over to Borkus and looked at him. Borkus looked up and smiled, Terrell whispered “Borkus…” but right after Borkus put his finger on Terrell’s lips and said “Quiet”. They locked eyes The two of them quickly left the locker room and tried to decide on a place to “stay”. They could go too one of their houses, but they both have families. Plenty of hotels to stay at in New Orleans but two of the best football players on the team would draw attention especially if they got one single bedroom. “Hey Terrell, we’re multi million dollar football players I think we can afford a double bed room.” “You’re right” Said Terrell who is really just willing to listen to anything Borkus says. And so they went to Insert Hotel Name Here, a very nice hotel. They quickly got to their room. “Hey Borkus…” “Yes?” “Do the Yeti suck?” “Yes” The end. 220 words (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - PaytonM34 - 03-18-2018 (03-18-2018, 12:46 PM)tbone415 Wrote:After the New Orleans Second Line defeated the Yeti in week 7 at home because the Yeti suck and shouldn’t be allowed to play football, Terrell Brister was getting out of his pads when he looked over at his QB Borkus Maximus III. Although he knows the most receiving yards by a receiver will be hard to set in stone with a bunch of players gunning for that title, he also knows he has the talent to do it. Jackson is thinking of playing until he is forced to wear knee braces to keep himself from falling over. That being said another big accomplishment would be to get inducted into the NSFL Hall of Fame at the conclusion of his career. Jackson has two Ultimus Bowl victories under his belt and has been a Top five receiver in the league since the second annual season. Jackson has had several different quarterbacks throw him the ball and yet he still remains pretty consistent. Jackson no longer measures his career over Stormblessed because let's be honest, that's not fair for Stormblessed to be compared to a great player with talent like Jackson. (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - Bwestfield - 03-18-2018 The Otters have made the playoffs again. I could not be more excited. It is an exciting opportunity and will be even more exciting if they advance to the Ultimus and ultimately win. Westfield is looking forward to the end of the season as he has some personal goals over the next few years. Right now there are a few wide receivers who could be considered the best. He would like to take the opportunity to move passed those other players and make it an easy decision. He has already made a strong case but he feels it is not strong enough. Eventually he will have to retire and eventually his body will start wearing down slowly. He knows his time is limited and will have to take advantage of every opportunity. The Otters have given him everything he ever needed so he wont likely be leaving anytime soon unless he decides to retire. (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - PaytonM34 - 03-18-2018 Career Overview So Far.... It's been a decent 2 seasons in the NSFL since ive joined. In my first season, i got drafted to the Tijuana Luchadores in the third round. A couple weeks in, Loco announced his stepping down from the GM position and promoted Jaskins to GM. Jaskins asked me if i wanted the vacant co-gm spot, so i took it. That season, we reached the playoffs and got knocked out by the eventual Ultimini champions, the Palm Beach Solar Bears. In terms of player performance, I broke the DSFL record for tackles in a season, but didnt record too many other stats. Then, in the offseason, i got picked #1 overall to the newly relocated New Orleans Second Line. This was a team in the start of their rebuild after almost the entire team retired back in S4. The locker rooms been great, and i have high hopes for the seasons coming. -Brian Mills 153 words (S6) - Weekend PT 5 - Out of Ideas - ralams123 - 03-18-2018 With the Yeti going with a not so stunning record of 0-14 many people are quick to call them a bad team, I say otherwise. I believe there is another team with a record just as bad that they can beat and might do one win better if they swapped places, yes I am talking about the Cleveland Browns you heard it hear first the Yeti are better than the Browns. The yeti who despite the numbers have a solid defense will work the Browns who are led by a legally blind Quarter Back by the name of Deshone Kizer who is bound to throw at least 2 or 3 ints to Andre Bly alone. The passing game of the Yeti of course wont be hard to stop but the Browns will have to go up against a three headed run game led by Tweed with Pierno and Joyce bringing in support. If a game were to be played against the two the Yeti will come out victorious with a score of 21-14 if my prediction serves right. (178 Words) |
