So I'm here today writing about a trade scenario that I would like to see happen. I'm going to talk about a person I would like to play with, and that I would think would make a huge difference to the Wraiths team. This person is actually and old teammate of mine, Dwayne Aaron. He is currently a wide receiver for the Colorado Yeti. They have a very young and inexperienced quarterback right now that in my opinion doesn't use him to his full potential. I think as a member of the Wraiths that he would absolutely tear this league apart. Mat Akselsen would have an absolute field day. No way teams would be able to cover him, me and Erick Kennedy. I think with his presence we would actually be unstoppable. But this is completely my opinion. And who knows we might find out some day. Now as for as a team I would like to go to. No one to be honest, I'm happy and at home in Yellowknife. But if Yellowknife didn't exist or they decided to trade me I would have to say Baltimore. I hate them but my cousin is there and I would love the chance to play with him too.

One player that I’ve always respected was Dan Miller (@7hawk77). Miller was a top defensive tackle for the Sabercats and he played a critical part in their S6 success that saw the Sabercats tie the Otters for the best record in the league that season at 11-3. Miller was one of the strongest defensive tackles in the league and showcased supreme run stuffing capabilities every season. Last season, he was the top DT in tackles with 53 and tied Angus Winchester for most sacks with 18! That’s an insane number of sacks for a DT. I’ve always dreamed of playing with a player of his caliber and ability to stuff the run and manage to find his way to the quarterback on a consistent basis. If you had a defensive line that consisted of Eli Kamaka and Dan Miller, we could easily tie up 4 of the offensive linemen ourselves clearing the way for the pass rushers to blast through the line to the quarterback. I was also a fan of the Sabercats and have always considered them a sister team in the ASFC. It’s a shame to see that Miller won’t finish his career in San Jose, having been traded to the Yeti but I’m glad he’ll finish out his career as a top DT.

First off, I want to preface this by saying I absolutely love my team, my teammates, and the city of San Antonio, but if I had to think up some kind of fantasy world where I were to play for another team, I suppose it would have to be the Portland Pythons. First off, Portland is a lot closer to my family so they would be able to make the short drive down to see me play my home games, so that makes it an easy choice right off the bat. Aside from that they just seem to have an insane offense that is clicking on all cylinders and seem to be able to put points up on the board with ease. That would also just make my job super easy and not have to worry as much about preventing points from going up on the board. Then to go along with that I'd be playing with Mason Brown who is just a friggin monster and Bratton who is pushing people around. You put me in the middle of that group and that would be one of the nastiest linebacking trios that the league has ever seen. I think that could be a lot of fun, but ultimately I love where I'm at and who I'm playing with so in reality I wouldn't change a thing.

There could not be more perfect timing for such question to ask Declan, but truth to be told there is no specific answer to it. But as it has been asked I will explain my point of view. I, Declan Harp, never had in my mind that I will move to states to play American Football or try at least. I have been born and raised in the jungles of London, went to school, played rugby since I was like 4 and then applied in the prestigious Twickenham Rugby School in London with the goal to become a great rugby player. So Im not a little fan boy that wants to play for the team that they watched growing up, cuz I dont have one. I want to play for the team that is the best for me. I want to play for a team with a serious attitude, with players who not just love playing but are serious about it and don't act like kids when they are playing college football. Any team that believes they are competing for the win, not for the fame, is a team I want to play in!
As I have just arrived to states and haven't had chance to do proper research on all the DSFL teams that I could play for as I went straight for the training camp, then I have had just a little glimpse on some of the teams but not specifics. Out of the six teams that are in the league I could definitely see myself playing for Tijuana Luchadores as from what I've seen they in my eyes are more serious than other teams, might not be as lucky but Im willing to work for it and change it with the team.

I want my friends back...but real talk, I would love to play with a back that can compliment me, and who better than Ardie Savea, Ok, now before anyone goes crazy, let's talk about what makes Savea the best pick. He's got fewer TPE than Taylor, myself, mack and yates. But he's got more than our one dimension of speed, he's got it all, blocking, catching, and speed to boot. With Denzel Diaz, the offense is hindered, and I get it, a medicore back can do our job, but I think with two really good ones the roster gets bolstered and lets us have another option for Orosz on passing plays. Did I mention that he started as a Cat? Yeah Savea did on the waivers, and what a homecoming that would be. We did lose a linebacker and d lineman but the team needs to get younger and while our defense will falter we definitely need to make our offense more dynamic. We need talkers in the LR, and he’s one too. I don’t want to say anything that would be where I would like to go, as that’s a media piece for later with FA coming up, sorry.

Well obviously as you can tell I was traded minutes before the trade deadline closed, and I was traded to the Yellowknife Wraiths. I'm actually pretty happy with this because there are quite a few players I really respect on the wraiths including Akelsen, Tweed, Tuck my former team mate, Kennedy, and a few others. It also helps that the team itself is really good. I'm hoping I can help them win their first ever ultimus, and I'm confident that we will be able to do it. I'm going to be testing Free Agency after the season is over, and while I hope to test it with a ring being traded helps me to understand what the Wraiths organization and team is all about. So far its been really fun for the short amount of time I've been here, and I'm excited to see what the future holds. I could come back, but nothing is set in stone and sometimes even if you want to stay with a team the team may not want you to come back. For now I'm focused on winning, and doing my best to help out the org and the players around me. Lets go wraiths!

I love playing for and with my guys on Lucha. The front office is the best in the DSFL, the locker room is the best in the DSFL. My guys Chad, Thad, and Sachs are the best to play next to (even if Chad takes all the tackles). However, I always love seeing teams make a strength even stronger. So, from a DSFL perspective, there is one guy I would like Lucha to trade for (as long as it could be done not giving up Lucha’s defensive stars or Brad, Leader of Men). That guy is Portland’s Mason Brown. While Chad and Horne make a strong LB core (and we have a Strong front 7 as a whole), it would be fun to see Mason Brown as the third guy in that line up. The best defense in the DSFL would get even better. I am not sure there would be enough tackles and sacks to go around, but we would win a championship easily.
That being said, I guess the Otters would have to draft both Chad and Horne to see this dream come true. Or trade Mason to the team that drafts Chad and Horne.
(Lucha is still winning a championship without Mason. Mark my words)

I mean what more could a great QB want than a star studded WR. Bradley Westfield, Josh Garden, Mayran Jackson amongsth many others would be amazing to throw to for Avon Blocksdale. But I don't think they would be all that much fun. There are two players that Avon would love to play with. The first is the most under utilized weapon in the NSFL - Carlito Crush @JKortesi81. Dude is an absolute monster and would be an absolute welcome addition to the Baltimore Hawks. The other player that Avon would love to throw to is Budda Browning @Rindiee. Budda and Avon got to hook up during the brief stint of the NCT on the Pac12 team. Both of these guys (out of character) are guys I really like. I've never been on a team with either of them but I know that if were to be in the same LR it would be a fucking blast. I mean why couldn't both of them not sign contract extensions and then sign with the Baltimore Hawks when they are FAs? I think that is a GREAT idea and I hope each of them do that. I know they would love to be here in Baltimore and I would love to have them - so lets hope that they come to the Hawks. Caw caw. 221
