For the first ever Ultimus halftime show they should bring in the hottest rap group out right now, The Migos. If anyone knows how to shut down a big show its them, along with a guest appearance from Cardi B the show is bound to be a hit. Bring in a whole lot of near nude girls and a couple of backup dancers the show will bring in more views and fans than any NFL halftime show. A surprise cameo by Beyonce would also happen that includes her jumping off of the top of the stadium with Jay Z and singing wall falling down (they are being dropped by some pulleys and levers or whatever). To cap off the show each team will pick out their fastest player to represent them in a 100 yard dash to keep the rivalry between the team teams high, The winning side only gets bragging rights though as anything that effects the score as a reward would be unfair.

This is a simulation game of fantastical people and events based on a real fandom. Why shouldn't our championship game halftime show also feature real fandom for fantastical people and events? That's right, I propose an entire fantasy-themed rock halftime show.

Featuring an ensemble of
Holographic recreation of Led Zeppelin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUmd6lujmuE
Mastodon joined by the stars of Game of Thrones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cusxl5GaMhY
The Sword: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjmljShU3JM
Blind Guardian: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fakNlghOJY
Mississippi Bones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcDpKBYbODM
The Kobolds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw0_7kTzIHk
And for a finale, a celebrity-rich all hands-on-deck reprise of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE-1RPDqJAY

The TV audience, and especially the mostly terrified crowd, will be blown away by the holographic Nazgul that soars through the Ultimus dome, over a ghost army led by an aging but spry Viggo Mortensen himself, reprising his role as Aragorn. Aragorn joins the bands on stage, trading Narsil for a Narsil-themed stratocaster and a face-ripping solo during The Sword's Barael's Blade. The rock bands annihilate eardrums in the cheap seats amid a holographic battle of orcs, zombies, and mounted cataphracts, lit by an array of holographic projectors more numerous than the Night King's army. This will be the first halftime show in all of nationally televised sport that will carry an ESRB rating of TV-14 including the FV (fantasy violence) parental guidance.

A halftime show designed to get new viewership needs to be unprecedented, it needs to be unique, it beds to be innovative. That's why some concert and light show that will be forgotten amongst all the others won't cut it.
The first Ultimus halftime show is going to be a miracle of modern technology. It will blend the wonders of cutting edge robotics with the most advanced AI that computer science can produce.
In concert with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tesla and Google, the Ultimus halftime show will feature fully automated independent football playing androids.
Fans old and new will marvel as the most advanced technology ever to be seen on a football field performs feats unmatched by human players. Coaches will be spoiled as, for the first time ever their plays will be executed without hesitation or error. The press will rave and the face of the NSFL and all of football will be irrevocably changed

Without a shadow of a doubt the only person who would be the best choice for the first ever Ultimus championship is none other than the Backstreet Boys. Just about everyone loves their music, and even those that do not still kind of know their hit songs (even if they don’t want to admit it). With absolute bangers like “I Want It That Way”, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”, and “As Long As You Love Me” to go along with the beautiful ballads like “I’ll Never Break Your Heart”, “All I Have To Give”, and “The One”, the Backstreet Boys are the perfect blend of talent and overall fan adoration to have play the half time show. A quick set of some of the best hits, combined with jaw dropping dance moves and choreography will energize the crowd and really get them going for the second half. There will be costume changes. There will be excellent singing. And there will be pyrotechnics. It will be the best show the NSFL has ever seen! (171)

Honestly, as I get older, the halftime show tends to be the thing I care the least about in football. It’s definitely a draw for the casual viewer, but it just doesn’t hold a lot of personal appeal to me. Personally, I don’t keep up with what’s in, per say, so I can’t really say if the bands that appeal to me personally will draw. I guess if I had to name a band, I’d want to see something I can’t see every other day or the year, so maybe I’d bring back an old school big arena band that I grew up listening to like Aerosmith or Bon Jovi, but again, I don’t know if that’s something the fans would want to see. Music-wise, I follow a lot of different genres, but many of my favorites are still classic rock bands and those are the ones that would draw my interest the most. Of course, I’m tuning in for the football, so as long as the game is good, the halftime show is hardly a big deal for me as a viewer.

It's season 8 and the NSFL has decided to honor the Ultimus contenders and fans with the first legitimate half time show. of course there have been high school bands performing as if there was a bigger stage to perform on than the Ultimus, but HO has decided on who they believe to be the Michael Jackson of the NSFL--the one to put half time shows on the map.

During a random commercial break in the 87th season premier of The Walking Dead it was announced that Scrantonicity would headline the Season 8 Ultimus game. Further details appear to be sparse but Scrantonicity II has been rumored to be a "surprise" guest performance along with Karen Filippelli, of course. Someone mentioned that a little known band, The Grass Roots, will perform at the DSFL Ultimini championship.

With the two Ultimus contenders being the Philadelphia Liberty and the New Orleans Second Line, the occasion could not be more ideal: the Philadelphia Liberty as hometown favorites and the New Orleans Second Line for more obvious reasons.

"Roxanne" begins to play as the lights go out and the show begins.
