The reality is, I don’t have any set-in stone goals for myself. Becoming acclimated to the league, my team, and my role are the only real things I am working towards. Every player has been a rookie at some level or another, and we all have some idea about just how hard the learning curve can be. But being a rookie in the DSFL is more than just hard, its down right daunting. The speed of the game, how physical it is, and how hard you have to work are all new to me. With that said, my expectations are a little different than “get X tackles.” This season its simple. Master the playbook, learn the new schemes, ask my coaches questions, and do the things that they say to do. Its pretty simple really. Its when you start to have those statistical goals, or even accomplishments or championships in your sights that you begin to lose yourself in the game. Once that happens its easy to fall behind, and to be just another draft bust. Being drafted so late is also a blessing when it comes to this. Nobody has any real expectations of what I will accomplish, and most who do know me will probably say I will be a nobody. I don’t agree with them.

This season for Declan Harp is really important and his expectation for it is only one - domination! Declan expect Kansas City Coyotes to dominate the season and take the cup home. We can all understand that last seasons loss was a hard hit to all coyotes as the cup was so close. For that reason one of the requirements from the NSFL team that drafted Declan was to be sent down as he had to redeem himself on thefield and leave the DSFL with a cup in his hand. His goal and expectation for this season was set right after that unfortunate day. Of course to get the cup this season Harp has to train hard and be the best he can be. He might not be the most important player of the team but he still has his job to do, so others are expecting for Harp to perform on the field. That includes hard training during the ofseason and the season as well. Mindset, physical ability and a goal is all that a player needs to do what he is expected to do and what he expects from himself and Declan is working hard everyday to be able to achieve all of it.

Banrbay Earl's goal for this season is to win Defensive player of the year, an award he felt like he was cheated out of last year after winning best linebacker, but having another backer win DPOY. Barnaby knows he has gotten better and will prove to everyone the mistake they made by not drafting him when they had the chance. he hopes to break the sack record, but as i said that is just a hope for him. his main goal is to be the best defensive player in the DSFL. he will drive the defense to the playoffs and hopefully a championship. with the return of banrbay and lagerfield the pythons team is looking strong. wins and losses come a dime a dozen, but how will they play when it matters most in the playoffs. a heartbreaking loss last year is motivating this tema to play out of their minds and chase that title for their beloved GM and owner. As the centeriece of the defense Barnabvy doesnt truly care about stats as much as it may seem he just wants to make the polays that will help the team win the game, if it means having 3 sacks in one game or just two tackles and an interception. he is a team first player and will show that this year.

I think the expectations for Tijuana definitely have to be high coming off a Championship and in thrilling fashion. Defending the championship is never an easy feat but the Luchadores are primed to have an amazing shot to do such. With 2 great Running backs, 2 amazing wide recievers, and a great choice at quarter back the Tijuana offense is set to make noise. With plenty of returning players to a stud defense as well the Luchadores expect to be even better than last season's amazing team.

For Ricky Adams expectations are tempered but still optimistic. I want to be the best running back in the league but what I want more is to win. By playing the system we do we definitely rack up more total yards as a group but not as much for me individually compared to other running backs. And that's totally fine. At the end of the day we're still winning games and that's what really counts. I expect to be a little bit more known this season though and turn some heads. I will make sure Orange County does not regret drafting me and will tear up this league for a while to come.

"I have the biggest expectations for me and my team this season. I personally believe we will twopeat and I will be a part of that process. Otters won 3 times in a row, i'm sure as hell we can do it too. We don't need Mike Boss on our team to win three championships. We have all the tools we need now to win another one, and another one. Our defense is roaring and ready to kill, especially with me finally being called up to take on the nose tackle position. I'm putting in work all the time to assure this defense gets better with me on it. I work towards getting to that quarterback, sacking his ass, and then tackling the running back when it comes to. I personally expect this defense and offense to take it to the house and win it all again, just to flex on those Orange County Otters so they now we're coming after their trophies records. We out here and ready to battle. We going to win the Ultimus. Quote me on that. We're gonna go win. I'm just here so I don't get fined."

D’Pez Poopsie is a simple man, with simple needs and expectations. Being drafted third overall to a team with an already solid running back who set records the season before does nothing but drive D’Pez to be better. D’Pez came into the DSFL draft looking to be a top running back, and being on a team with Elijah Lagerfield just drives that home. D’Pez’s expectations for the season are as follows, Go to the playoffs, win the Ultimini, and dethrone Lagerfield as the top running back for the Portland Pythons. This is no easy task, as Lagerfield has a whole season under his belt before D’Pez even came to the league, but that does not matter. D’Pez Poopsie is a grinder, a workhorse, an animal if you will, and once he sets his goals there is nothing that can stop him. D’Pez Poopsie is a man on a mission, some would even call him a freight train, and once he gets going nothing can stop him. D’Pez is going to work harder, be stronger, faster, and more agile then any running back in the DSFL. Mark his words, D’Pez will be the best running back this league has ever seen. He’s coming for the top spot.

Austin Roenick has multiple expectations. And some of them are obvious ones that any player and even shit players can succeed. One of them, make the fucking playoffs fairly. Last season did not count because we had a horrible season and a rebuilding team was playing better than us throughout the season which was an embarrassment. So I want the Hawks to make them playoffs cleanly, so Clean that I do not have to worry about the playoff spot but instead a championship. And that is another expectation for Roenick, a god damn title. Boss may be bored of it but Roenick has not won it yet and he sure as hell would want that.

Another one which is probably the biggest one individually, be the best. Everyone wants to be the best and Roenick was an inches close of being that. Being a good player at the start of his career and hopefully it continues, Roenick wants to win that best LB award and the best defensive player in the league, sure it may look impossible but hey, don't give up. So the bottom line is that he should be the best and that is a main expectation for Roenick this season.

In terms of expectations for my team, the Tijuana Luchadores, expectations are as you might say muy high. Like super duper high. This team won the Ultimini just a season ago and I think the roster has only improved so I really don’t see why it won’t happen again this season. The offense looks awesome with Falconi coming along as a QB and tons of new offensive weapons to be utilized as well. The defensive side of the ball has improved as well and should be more than capable of keeping most teams in the DSFL in check. Seriously anything less than a championship for this team will be a disappointment.

As for my player, Achilles Hondo, expectations are the complete opposite: brutally low. I know that he was taken with a very high draft pick because of his potential, but that’s the problem is that it is all still potential. As a blocking back, he comes in with a lot of paths that he could pursue in the DSFL, however that makes him extremely raw. There’s so much to build up just to even be slightly competent at anything and the one are where I want to eventually be great in is blocking, which surely won’t come to fruition until Hondo is playing in the NSFL. So, for now I’ll contribute as much as I can to the team, but I don’t think the stats will end up all that flattering when the season comes to a close.
