(S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - Vikain - 08-29-2018 Yulic Nagasawa that's a name...thats really about it right now. After 2 years in America playing for the University of Central Florida and developing into a prospect that some heads have turned, he now is moving to Kansas City to continue his career development in the DSFL. The young Japanese man who knows barely any English is looking to create a name for himself as a Japanese descendent making something out of himself and eventually getting to NSFL. There was a bit of surprise that his name has been floating around in the DSFL draft but he was picked in the 22nd overall and he's hoping he can produce for the Koyotes. When asked how he has been settling in he looked confused and kind of shrugged. When our translator repeated the question he lit up with excitement saying he wants to do good for the Koyotes. He went on about the Draft and how exciting it was for him to get picked. But he knows he needs to put more work in. Just wrapping up the second preseason game he's looked okay. He was a little harsh on himself because of all the drops he had. But there was a lot of upside with him. He made some plays that moved the chains and even scored his first ever DSFL touchdown in his second game. Nagasawa has a long road ahead of him and it's going to be exciting how he ends up. (S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - White Cornerback - 08-29-2018 Written: Must include 200 words. Write about one of the new players on your team, or how you are handling moving to a new team if you are new to the team. You can write about anything along this topic, as long as it reaches 200 words. Yellowknife picked up 3 promising rookies in the S10 NSFL Draft starting with Zenyou Wozy who was then followed by Jake Verden, before ending their draft with everybody's favourite player Ray Slick. Zenyou is a promising young quarterback making not just waves but tsunami's in the DSFL. Wozy (unsure if related to past NSFL star Fuego,) is represented by the Wozy Player Agency. Zenyou is a pocket passer and largely comes out of the draft looking pretty balanced with 80 accuracy and 79 arm with 80 intelligence. With Akselsen recently traded away for the supposed future QB of the Wraiths, Brad Pennington with Andreas Metaxas still in the fold, it's going to be interesting to see how this pans out for Yellowknife. Verden has been highlighted as a possible successor for Wraiths defensive cornerback Dermot Lavelle who enters his 10th consecutive season and while he hasn't impressed early in his DSFL career but sources close to his camp have confirmed that he's currently dealing with off the field issues and soon will be ready to impress. Ray Slick is a god and nothing I could write could do him justice. We all have high hopes for Ray Slick and no doubt believe he is in fact the bees knees of the NSFL. (S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - Radsin - 08-29-2018 Weird times, I was just about to hop on a plane to Portland, I was receiving texts from my new team mates. Getting to know them, then boom next thing I know. I hear I'm going to San Antonio. To be honest. I never spoke with my old GM, but My new GM seems pretty cool! We've got two killer QBs in Zenyou Wozy and Jamal Slick. So I know I'll always have someone with talent throwing me the ball down here. Along with that i'm learning a lot from veteran players, especially ShaDarrien LaMelllana, our #1 Wide out. Ty Justice is giving me a run for my money too. I figured since he was a later draft pick my spot was safe, but he is a red zone machine. So that keeps me on my toes. As far as the defense goes the relationship is tenuous, but this is expected during camp. We're all fighting for our spots, and fighting for more reps. Things are gonna get a bit heated, but I'm glad to be up against talented folks such as Gordan Ramsey and Jonathon Rice. I'm sure ill be ready for the regular season after dealing with them for over a month. All in all, good people in San Antonio. Going first overall as a running back, who would have thought it. San Jose was hurting on all sides of the ball, and it was rumored that Poopsie would either go 1 or 2, and well damn, he went 1. But either which way, leaving Portland and going to San Jose has been such a huge difference. Besides the fact that there are some great veteran presences here such as John Canton and Ja Brill, Poopsie has decided to switch sides of the ball to be on their side with them. The running game in the NSFL is not like the DSFL, and Poopsie has always had a knack for getting the ball either which way. Switching to Cornerback for this new team has been very hard for him, because his intelligence is not where it should be, he was lucky to make it to college but hey that’s a different story for another day. Adjusting to life in San Jose has been super hard, but D’Pez just recently signed with Roc Nation which has already started helping him adjust to life in California. Without Roc Nation who knows where D’Pez would be right now. (210 words) (S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - enigmatic - 08-29-2018 ![]() (S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - ztevans - 08-29-2018 With the 18th pick of the Season 10 DSFL Entry Draft, the Kansas City Coyotes selected defensive lineman Will Foster from the University of Memphis. A beefy run-stopping defensive tackle, Foster recorded 59 tackles (20.5 tackles for loss) and six sacks in three seasons for the Tigers before declaring for the DSFL Draft. Foster is excited to bring his game to the next level, although he knows the work is far from done just because he is out of college. In what talent evaluators are calling a deep draft on the defensive line, Foster was the fourth defensive lineman taken, and the third of four eligible defensive tackles. “I’m not going to lose much sleep over the draft position,” Foster says. “Ultimately, my career will be determined by what I do moving forward. But there is definitely motivation to improve between now and the end of the season for the NSFL Draft.” Interestingly enough, Kansas City drafted three of the four defensive tackles in the Season 10 DSFL Draft, taking Footballer Sackerman and Franklin Townsend as well. Sackerman joins the Coyotes from the Community College of Rhode Island while Townsend played for the Georgia State Panthers in college. “Healthy competition is good,” Foster says about the fellow draftees. “We’re pushing each other on the field and learning from each other off the field. I’m excited to see what we can develop into here.” (S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - TheDangaZone - 08-29-2018 Added a nice trophy that we're about to win ![]() (S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - Dangles13 - 08-29-2018 With quarterback Mike Boss set to retire, the Orange County Otters are looking towards the future and that is where Gus Showbiz enters. The green quarterback will not have long to learn how to play the game before he will be given the reigns of an Otters team that is headed towards a rebuilding or retooling phase. Gus is not the traditional size for a quarterback but he has been lauded for his football intelligence and his deadly accurate arm and he has impressed his teammates in practices and drills. Veteran safety Marcus Kane had this to say about the kid: "Oh man, T.T. is a true slinger, I was not prepared for someone so young to look so poised. I've played with some of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play this game and this kid is made as the same stuff as them. Some guys just have "it" and you can see it in the way they carry themselves and the way they work out. I really like the way that Showbiz prepares himself and the way he respects all of the veteran players in the locker room; he is always looking to absorb some info from everyone. The Otters are going to be in great hands when this kid takes over". (S10) - PT 1 - New Faces - OBESE - 08-29-2018 The time has finally come and this season for the very first time I will move to the big leagues and hopefully together. I did try to end my minor league career with a cup and I believe that we had such great chance with Coyotes but this is a game and everything can happen and my plan did not happen. Now I am looking forward to moving to the big leagues and becoming a full pledged member of Baltimore Hawks. I mean it is a little bit nervous and lifting at the same time. It is fun, remind me the feeling when I just moved to the states from United Kingdom and joined the league. At this point I can tell that I am used to moving as in such short time I have moved several times, starting of moving to states, then to San Antonia, then to Kansas and now to Baltimore and I hope that this will be my last move in some time at least. But that is not my main focus but it is definitely a part of the journey. I am really excited to meet my new teammates with whom I have been in contact during last season but have never played on the field together, except the training camps. |
