(S12) - PT 2 - Not All on Training - Shrodawg - 12-20-2018 Even though I want to say I spent it all on training, I'd have to say that buying a brand new car every year is nice. Like super duper nice! I got a new Tahoe when I was in Portland and after I sold that car and moved to Arizona I got another Tahoe there with premium features. Well some wires got crossed and I ended up needed to move back to Portland (whoops), so I sold the Tahoe I bought in Arizona and used the rest of my contract money to move back to Portland. Luckily I was able to find my old place in the burbs and even replaced most of my stuff so it was easy to bounce back after that. It's a shame to use your contract money like that, but I guess it was my bad for not listening to my agent when he called 12 times during the weekend I was moving! Whoops! Anyways, I used the rest of my contract money left over to pay off some debts and now I think I'm square with the NSFL bank. I think the next car I'll buy won't be a Tahoe though. I might get something more economical like a Tesla!!! Every week, every season, contract and job money goes to weekly training or equipment, but it doesn't all have to be that way. Write about how your player is going to spend some of their extra money they get for playing football or GMing a team. (Ex: Donated to charity, bought a giraffe, bought his mom a new car, etc.) Somehow I feel low key called out buy that ' bought a giraffe' comment. Anyways, Turk Turkleton has played the sports of football for a very long time. Next to contract money and tons of endorsement sponsorships, aswell as starting in movies. With all this earned money, Turk has been able to save up quite a pretty penny. Turk already has so much he could ask for. He has a beautiful home with he can share with his loving family. The future for their childern is also set with college funds being accounted for. Turk's ultimate dream in life is to build a giraffe sanctuary. A place where giraffes can roam freely without the worry for poachers. A place giraffes can populate and increase the population of giraffes in the world. Giraffes are a beautiful kind of animal and it would be a massive shame if we see this kind go extinct. Turk would also like to design and build an ultimate dream house at some point, while his current house meets all his needs, he has started on ideas of building the ultimate house. This should not be an issue for Turk to build and he looks forward to his retirement so he can start working towards his dreams. (S12) - PT 2 - Not All on Training - kckolbe - 12-21-2018 Aside from training and gear (he’s amazingly cautious and replaces all of it very often, sometimes even in the course of a single practice), Fitzpatrick has a lot of other expenses of late. Probably his two biggest expenses are an analytics company to help him improve his game, and then a promotional campaign to highlight how well he plays using a metric known as TANY/A. Maybe you’ve heard of it, but it’s kind of his thing and he is the sole bankroller of it. Unfortunately, he’s had to put more into it due to a rival metric known as NANC/Y rating. He’s also spending money on a writing advisor to help him meet press release quotas, because some of the questions they ask are boring as fuck and it’s hard to say enough about them to satisfy the little shits. I can’t think of any examples, though. Of course, the most costly “expense” is on the form of a lawsuit from the league for his involvement in unsanctioned fantasy leagues, claiming he used insider knowledge to make money on the borderline gambling sites. That cost him access to a lot of league facilities, a pretty stiff fine, not to mention a…fuck it I’m at 200 words. (S12) - PT 2 - Not All on Training - CDub2 - 12-21-2018 Well, Cameron Taylor doesn't make a lot of money in the first place, but he's been saving a ton of money to buy something nice. Honestly, he doesn't know what to buy, but he wants to treat himself and his loved ones. Initially Cameron Taylor had a dream of what to do with his money. He's always wanted to buy a Tesla. An electric, super awesome, high class car. What could be better. He's always been a Tesla fan, he loves renewable resources, and he loves the ingenuity of where electric cars are going. Sadly, Tesla are not exactly built for the weather of the great north of Yellowknife. The -30 degree weather doesn't help battery life, and the slushy and snowy roads are the sleek and slender model of the Tesla's enemy. So it will take a few more years of driving a truck to practice until Cameron can finally move down south and get his hands on a Tesla. In the mean time, Cameron is giving back to his family and buying his girlfriend some nice Christmas Presents. But one day, Cameron will get that Tesla and be able to drive it everywhere without killing the environment. It's not the most ambitious purchase for a pro athlete, but Cameron isn't the most normal athlete either. 218 |
