With just 2 NSFL games under his belt, winning the Ultimus is the furthest thing from Benson Harris’ mind. The Ultimus is the ultimate goal, and of course the thought of possibly winning it creeps in now and again, but right now his focus is to get better each and every week. Fine tuning his technique so that he can contribute as much as possible to his team’s success. The only thing he can control is his own play, so he wants to be the best he can possibly be every game.

If he is lucky enough to win one, the most important thing to him will be celebrating with his teammates. Harris isn’t normally much of a partier, but he would absolutely make an exception. After some hard partying with the team, he would visit family so they could share some of the excitement. Showing gratitude to those closest to him, the people that helped him get to where he is, would be the most important thing he would do on his victory tour. The tour would be short lived though. He’s the type that would get back to work quickly. You can’t let success taint what got you there in a league where everyone is trying to get better every day.

Dick Wizardry was asked about his plans once his team won the Ultimus and what kind of parades or festivities might occur.

"Bro...you kiddin' me right now? You don't plan shit til you win. It's useless now. I'm pretty sure we can swing somebody else to plan it when we actually earn it but until then I ain't dealin' with that weak question bro. I'm dealin' with the actual important shit. Like how to GET that championship that you act like is just a walk in the park. There's no liposuction option. This is hard work every day. This is running routs with Ryan and doing blocking drills with Adrian and sitting in meetings with guys like Avery and Will and helping them spot how the running back they're trying to maul is gonna move base don his body language and tendencies. It's conversations with Coach at midnight when I watch game tape in my own home. It's ignoring how good things smell until I put the proper amount of work in to make sure YA BOY is killin' it at a high level. It's sacrificing time, effort, and easy Touchdowns so that your TEAM benefits. Killin' me here. Fuckin' parades. Lemme tell ya something about The Manhammer that you clearly haven't realized yet. I grind 25/8 son. And I take the men and women next to me and I make sure they grind. I keep them going. We grind together. We grow together. And bro...bro...fuck a parade until there's already a trophy to put in it. We'll get some cars and streamers and shit. Nobody cares about a fuckin' parade unless you have a reason. That's what you dipshits miss. I'm the goddamn best. But I gotta go prove it week in and week out. This team is gonna be the best. Let's worry about that part first. Parades and shit. Fuck, bro."

Well it was a disappointing season for Axel Hornbacher and missing out on the playoffs showed that New Orleans just wasn’t ready to compete for the Ultimus yet. Axel decided to sign with the Colorado Yeti in the off season and wanted to try his luck elsewhere on a team that made some big moves to get to the championship. As far as aspirations go, he’s hoping to make a big impact for the team in the regular season and become the go-to playmaker that helps the team win the Ultimus. There’s hope that he may finally bring a championship to Colorado, a franchise wrought with poor management and awful draft picks in the past. The parade wouldn’t just be a regular celebration like most NSFL cities. No, it would be monumental and comparable to something like LeBron winning the NBA championship for Cleveland or the Philadelphia Eagles winning the NFL Superbowl. It would not only have a big impact on the fans, but the city itself and that parade would go on for days. I’m talking free flowing kegs of Colorado’s finest craft beers and some of the best music and entertainment would be flown in to celebrate the momentous occasion.

Over the past couple of seasons, the Philadelphia Liberty has taken big steps to become contenders for the Ultimus and while I'm not sure I believe we are quite there yet, you never know what may happen in simulated sports.

It would be an understatement to say that the city of Philly would be happy to win their first championship since the Ultimus Bowl VII. It has been a difficult time since then for fans of the Liberty but they would see that all those years of rebuild and tanking was worth it. What's better than winning a championship with so many players developed by your organization?

I don't picture us having the home turf advantage if we ever reached the Ultimus Bowl so the celebration on the field would be sorta limited but it's still cool to share this moment with fans who came all the way from Philadelphia to see their team in the finals.

The city is no stranger to success in sports but we all know the Liberty is the most popular sport team in Pennsylvania. Therefore, the parade itself would be awesome, with so many people calling in sick to attend. We'd go down Broad Street and celebrate with our fans and families. The city would turn gold and blue for the occasion.

Then I'd wake up.

Mason Brown coming off of his second championship in his career has a pretty set routine for what he does after he wins a championship. He will walk in to a sports bar closest to the stadium and hand out autographed jerseys to anyone wearing anything Otters related. Then he will talk shit to the opposing teams’ fans. Then around 6 in the morning he gets up then he will get on his private jet and go to Disney World because he will be the MVP of the game and spend the whole day down there with his kids and wife before coming home for the parade the following day. Mason's 6-year-old daughter, Daisy, has been taking dance classes so he will show off the dance moves during the parade that she taught him. Then he will go home and help his uncle Shannon prepare for the NSFL draft since his uncle was able to land the co gm job this offseason. And Mason will not kiss the owner but he will spend the owner a nice wad of cash as a thank you for building such a great team and allowing him to play on it. But by the end of the week he is going to hit the reset button because he can enjoy it too long because he needs to prepare himself for the next season so he can have a care free week.

In Howard Miller’s first season within the NSFL system as a whole, playing in the DSFL, he and the Kansas City Coyotes came tantalisingly close to winning the Ultimini, upsetting their division rivals the Portland Pythons in the conference championship to go on to face San Antonio in the big game. Unfortunately, they would lose that game 23 – 13. In his six years in the NSFL since that season, as part of the Colorado Yeti, he has made the playoffs three times, but is yet to progress beyond the first game. He desperately wants a shot to prove himself on the biggest stage of all, and he likely would be a key component to a championship run, as his current playoff stats reflect.

Though a championship wouldb be huge for Howard Miller, it would undoubtedly mean more for the state of Colorado as a whole. In their 12 seasons since helping found the NSFL, they have only brushed with the championship once, in Season 1, when they were handily beaten by the Arizona Outlaws. Despite having some forays into the post season, the years that followed also included consecutive winless seasons, and not much on the whole to be excited about. If the Yeti team this season could pull off what no other has been able to before it, they may well shut the whole state down to celebrate.
