(S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - nickyvmlp - 05-13-2019 After Dan Wright got his big paycheck there was one thing on his mind. One big thing that he's always wanted to do, but never had the time or the money, but with the offseason underway and his bank account stuffed, he finally had the chance. He grabbed a couple of his new Sabercat teammates and went on a road trip across the country. From San Jose, they went north to Oregon where the group, consisting of Chad and Thad Pennington, Joliet Christ, Cameron Olsen and Wright, were attacked by a large army of garden gnomes. Nobody was hurt, but nobody believed them afterwards because the pictures were blurry. Afterwards, they went further up north to Seattle and caught a Sonics game. The year is 2029 after all, and the Timberwolves were relocated to Seattle and have won the title the last five years, in the feel good story of the decade. Afterwards, they went southeast to Vegas, where the trip came to a premature end, when Wright lost all his money in an ill advised game of Texas Hold 'Em. Wright went all in on an ace high flush, but a 95 year old Asian lady had a full house, and he had to bum gas money from Joliet to get the gang back to San Jose just in time for training camp to start. 226 words (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - flyeaglesfly29 - 05-13-2019 Lightsout Lewis is still waiting on the final numbers for his contract after being the first pick ever by the Chicago Butchers, however like other prospects that show up to the NFL Draft draped in diamonds that they do not own, Lewis has taken a sizable loan against his signing bonus to use as a down payment on his new Chicago based apartment. I would be lying if I did not admit that Lewis has not considered using some of the money to legally change his name. Lightsout has been criticized for his name since his youth, but majority of that changed when he became larger that everyone he played against in high school. Given that he could literally knock your lights out, a lot of people decided that it was a better health decision to not joke on him. Nonetheless, Lewis is taking suggestions as to what his new name should be. Perhaps Dwight or Michael? He has been referred to in the past as "Double L", so may Lewis Lewis? Who knows? Beyond that riveting decision, Lewis is considering a lot of different purchases once his contract is finally taken care of....things like a boat or a bullet proof vehicle since he will be living in Chicago. Oh the possibilities. (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - KingCollins - 05-13-2019 Terry Taffy has a few uses for his money. He's already bought his parents a car and a new home, so he wants to use the contract money to advance his brand and his future outside of the NSFL. Firstly, he's funded the second location of the Taffy Network in Colorado so he could provide Colorado with high-quality coverage of the Yeti's. Nextly, he's started a candy store in Denver that specializes in the taffy market. The Taffy market is real lucrative in Colorado, apparently stoners love sweets. Finally with the little bit of money remaining in his contract, he intends on hiring and agent and expanding the Taffy Network. Taffy loves Colorado thus far and is very satisfied with his contract, but he realizes when he become a star he needs to get his value. He's build for league stardom. He hears of slm's potential agency and is very interested. With his candy store and news network, Taffy has no time to worry about contracts and playing time. He has a large announcement about his news network. With the extra funds flowing in, they intend on establishing the Taffy Studio. From here they will produce high-quality movies and documentaries about Taffy and the NSFL. These movies will be for sale and will be displayed on the Taffy Network. (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - ven_knight - 05-14-2019 Lucas Knight saw his name called by the Arizona Outlaws in the 3rd round of the NSFL S15 Draft. Now that he has signed his rookie deal and got a nice bonus, he wonders what would be the best use of his money. In an exclusive interview with Knight, he said the following about his contract: “I'm glad that the money aspect it's all settled, because I would rather be on the field training hard for the start of the season. Anyway, about the big check, I'm not entirely sure in what should I spend it. The first thing that comes to mind is finding a little apartment here in Phoenix, better if it's close to the training facilities. Also, I would like to hire for a year both a fitness trainer and an external DB trainer; it's the best investment I can make now to improve my performance. Finally, I want to give something to my parents; they have supported me in this long road to become a professional football player so I think is fair I get some new stuff for them. For my mom, I'll give her a check for restoring the house, she has told me how much she wanted to renew the backyard and add an extra bedroom for guests; for my dad, since he's the biggest Pumas fan, I'll buy him the newest home jersey and tickets for the next season. Plus, I'll plan to invite them both to a couple of my NSFL games, obviously covering all expenses for them.” 258 words (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - majesiu - 05-14-2019 PBE affiliation (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - PSanchez55 - 05-14-2019 http://probaseballexperience.jcink.net/ind...indpost&p=78402 (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Rradum - 05-14-2019 I like to think I'm pretty smart with my money. I didn't grow up wealthy so I understand the value of money. My parents always told me not to "spend it all in one place". I recently signed a deal with San Jose and I'm going to put a hefty amount of that money into this new currency called Bitcoin. Ever heard of it? Probably not. It's on the up and up and it's only a measly $8000 per Bitcoin. It can only go up right? I feel like digital currency is the start of a new era. Who needs to put their money into something like a Papa Johns franchise? Didn't you hear that The Papa John was racist? I don't want racist pizza, or a racist papa. Well, I'm from the south, so my papa is a bit racist already. Anyway, I might buy myself one of those awesome RipStiks that I've wanted since I was a kid. Or some Socker Boppers that I can take to the locker room to settle arguments. Whatever I find at Toys R Us first. You know, I should invest in Toys R Us. There's always going to be kids who love toys right? Fool proof idea. (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Eco - 05-14-2019 I am not a negotiator, I hate doing that kinda stuff. So when I walked into the office of Mr. Milburn, my expectation was to get a minimum contract. Like 0.5M or maybe a 1M tops? Well my generous GM decided to give me a whooping 2.5M for my first year, followed by 2M each for the next two years! As most of you already know, I have serious investments in a couple of software and design endeavors and from an outsiders stand point they might look really lucrative. However in reality they are not that lucrative and cash flow wise they are actually horrible! I know that some rookies get 5-8M per year and my contract is tiny compared to theirs, however this contract really helps me out with my finances and it is more than enough for me. Moving from Palm Beach to Baltimore cost me a lot of money but that should be fine in the long run since the cost of living in Baltimore is way less than Palm Beach. I intent to stay here for the rest of my career and feel like investing in a house here would be the best way to spend my hard earned cash. If anybody knows a good realtor in Baltimore, please reach out to me. (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Raven - 05-14-2019 Code: Written Option: The Offseason has come to an end an all our contracts are freshly minted. That means one thing, signing bonuses. Your player just received a large signing bonus, whether it was his first rookie contract, a newly agreed extension, or a brand new team in Free Agency. What do you plan to do with all that dough, buy a house, a car, a yacht, or in the spirit of Mother’s Day, what are you buying her? Write about how your player spends his cash. Corvo Havran was paid a generous 4M this offseason for his service to the Baltimore Hawks while playing down with the Tijuana Lucadores. For a youngster like Havran these kinds of numbers are wild and the possiblities with what you can do with it seem endless. One of the first things that Havran bought with his paycheck when he was drafted to the Baltimore Hawks was a nice house out in the suburbs of Baltimore. He does not spend much time there right now, due to him playing down in Tuijana right now, but Havran likes being prepared. Havran is still sharing an appartment in Tuijana with fellow teammates. So he does not need to spend his new contract money on a house. Corvo is going to be spending his money on one of this biggest hobbiest, which is Train Simulator. This game has about like 999 million worth of dlc. So he has a nice good start to collecting all the dlc with his contract money. Although he will not be spending all his money on the game just yet, but more spread it over his career getting all the dlcs that way. He is also going to buy some fishing gear for camping trips which are always fun. (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - karl - 05-14-2019 Raymond Vans is a man of quality taste, and as such he spares no expense on anything he sets his eye on. Since receiving his first contract he's made several big purchases including a kick ass new ride, a bangin' condo in downtown Phoenix and a relaxing winter cottage in whitefish, Montana for his second favorite sport, skiing. As the next season of his contract kicks in the young man received another year worth of salary and with it several bonuses he was entitled to for another strong finish in his career. Rather than buying more possessions the Outlaw has opted to expand his "brand" and kick start his own organization, Vans Vans, a fleet of themed party buses. Still in its early stages they haven't decided on the direction of the company quite yet, but the young entrepreneur Raymond is eager to hit the ground running and has put a significant amount of his next contact in his latest startup investment opportunity. With the rest he plans to throw several huge parties at his Whitefish cottage (more of a chalet really). The majority of which will be for his outlaw teammates, including the always lethal bot offensive line. It should be an exciting year for the Raymond. ![]() |
