In his downtime off the field, Devo often plays video games when he's not too busy and
plays a varied amount of games from different genres, such as Rimworld, OOTP, Hotline Miami, Super Mario 64, etc. When asked what's his favorite genres he often says simulation, action, sports, and platformers are his favorite games since they all define things he really enjoys in games.

Growing up as a kid, Devo's first console was the N64 which has a library of games that varied between good and mediocre, but there was one game on that console he loved the most and that was Super Mario 64.

He would spend days not touching his other toys or going out of his room playing SM64, he would beat the game several times over finding new stars and eventually finding the secret Yoshi on top of the castle.

These memories would be forever cemented in Cansino's head as his childhood and nowadays he still has that N64 from back in the day and even still replays SM64. In fact, Cansino actually owns a dedicated game room that contains almost every classic game console either he bought or got in the past from his family for his birthday.

Guy Nikko doesn't spend too much time gaming. He has a busy life, and between working out, practicing with the team and spending hours attempting to memorize lines for his upcoming minor movie roles he doesn't have much time to spend gaming. When he was a kid, however, he had a little Nintendo DS, which he adored. He played on it every day. His favourite games were MarioKart and Animal Crossing. He was never particularly great at MarioKart but he really enjoyed the casual nature of both games, and how he was able to play them with his friends. Now that he's a grown man he still goes back to that Nintendo DS every now and again for the nostalgia of a race in MarioKart or to pick a thousand weeds from his Animal Crossing town. Recently he has also developed a minor interest in some online games, such as Basketball GM and Football GM. Guy hasn't ruled out the potential of going into GMing once he retires from the league. He thinks that playing these online games will help prepare him for that possibility but he doesn't quite understand how dealing with real people will be different than algorithms. Ah well, maybe they'll still help in some way.

After a long day of practice, the best way for me to unwind is with some games to take me back to my childhood. I've got a PS1 and an N64 set up in my game room with all of the greats. The original Crash trilogy, Ape Escape, and Twisted Metal on the PS1; Pokemon Stadium, Paper Mario, and Donkey Kong 64 on the N64. But the old standby has and always will be Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. It's my absolute favorite game ever. I bought it when I was 8 when it came out, I re-bought it a couple of years ago, and I'm always playing it. I love supercharging through Fracture Hills or flying through Metropolis. I even like using the trolley in Breeze Harbor and chasing down the thieves in Shady Oasis.
I've gotten so familiar with the game that I've even started trying to do speedrun attempts on my Twitch page. I get to talk to some fans before and after the streams, which is always fun, and sometimes I play a couple of the other games just to change things up, but Spyro 2 is the main show on the channel.

I love video games. Recently I played through The Legend of Zelda, A breath to the wild. It was a fantastic game and really brought me a lot of joy. While there were elements I was disappointed in, like the lack of bigger dungeons or more of them (only having essentially four seemed weak), there were still so many enjoyable parts to the game. The sheer wonder of being able to go wherever we want, it was crazy and exciting. Plus, I loved being able to find shrines. Once I figured out how many there were, I just wanted to find them all. That was a really fantastic process that I would not trade. It was really fun and exciting. The Koroc seeds were a bit harder to find and there were just WAY too many of them to really try to find them all but a fun little thing nonetheless. But finding the shrines was probably my favorite aspect of the game, just wandering around the world, finding more and more of them. The cooking was also a really fun aspect of the game that really caught me by surprise. The sound effect and little dance made it all the more fun. Highly recommend this game!

Nacho plays a variety of video games when unwinding. He refuses to play shooters as some of the situations hit a little too close to home. He prefers grand strategy games. He is a huge fan of the Total War series. He exclusively plays Rome II, and refuses to believe it is not a great game. He can often be heard arguing how it's the best of the series, usually saying that the DLC has made it much more of a complete experience. He has tried the Warhammer Total War games, but is not a fan of the fantasy setting. He is a history buff, and the historical games scratch that itch. Nacho also has a couple thousand hours logged in the Sid Meier's Civilization games. He usually just plays the latest iteration. Currently he has a campaign going on Marathon speed with max map size and player count. He plays as Gandhi, using his pacifist reputation to his advantage as he nukes other nations into oblivion.

All of this said, Nacho has played less video games since joining the NSFL. He does when he gets a chance to, but he spends the bulk of his time studying film, the playbook, and practicing to improve his skills. Once the offseason starts in a few weeks, he'll get back into his games a little more.

Axel Hornbacher is an avid PC gamer and devout follower of the PC Master Race. He’s been building his own computers since he was in high school and has loved playing games on PC the most. He was a big fan of Call of Duty 2 and Baldur’s Gate back in the day. It does make it hard for him to relate to his teammates at times since they all play console games mostly, but Axel has found some great communities online to play with. Just recently, he built a new PC with his latest contract and has been playing The Division 2, Overwatch, and Rainbow 6. In addition to shooters, he loves playing massive multiplayer online role playing games as well. He plays a bit of Guild Wars 2, but mostly spends his time on World of Warcraft as a Tauren Shaman. He’s not a highly geared Shaman, but has lots of fun playing with his guild mates when he has time at home. Lately, Axel has switched to playing console games since he’s been on the road more and got a Nintendo Switch for ease of use. He’s been playing Mortal Kombat 11 with a few of his teammates and they enjoy fighting each other during their down time.

As odd as it might sound, L'Alto doesn't much have the attention span for video games, and when he gets down to it he ends up preoccupied that he could be spending his time in more worthwhile pursuits....like play Draft Day Sports Pro Football 2016--- now THAT is a game. He could go on and on all day really about it, but the fact of the matter is, he just was never good at video games. The only time that he really actually enjoyed them was as a kid when it was much more common (or the only option) to play locally with your friends. L'Alto doesn't get the appeal of playing remotely when the real reason that he would play would be to spend quality time with his friends. Because of this, L'Alto would much prefer board games since those are still spent over a beer and pizza with your buds. His first introduction to the strategy/board games was chess, and he even competed in his school's chess club and local/regional chess tournaments. Soon after graduation, however, there weren't many people interested in playing. So he moved to other types of strategy games by way of Settlers of Catan, the gateway drug of the gaming world. And it was all downhill from there.
