(S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - Starboy - 02-12-2020 As the co-general manager of the team, it’s hard to not harp on every single one of my players as deserving of an award. Watching them all go in week after week has been a lot of fun, and I enjoy seeing them compete for being the top players of each game. That being said, there are two players that I believe are constantly in the running for Kansas City’s coveted Player of the Game title: Rando Cardrissian and Douglas Quaid. These two have been absolute monsters on both sides of the ball and really have helped Kansas City to achieve some great things, and deserve Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year. Cardrissian is a constant threat to opposing team’s defenses and doesn’t let up. Constantly he finds a way to break into the endzone on some crazy run. He helps give Kansas City an edge as the thunder to the offense in case anyone misses the lightning of his fellow rushing option Andrew Nova. On the other end of the ball is the behemoth linebacker, Douglas Quaid. There is nothing that Quaid can’t do on defense. From playing as a pass defender to stopping the run, Quaid has made his name known to opposing offenses. There isn’t a game that goes by without Douglas finding multiple ways to disrupt the opposing offense. (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - RilesMcGiles - 02-12-2020 There are two players on Kansas City that should be recognized. It has not gone unnoticed that the defense of the Kansas City Coyotes needs some improvement. Kansas City is last in tackles for loss and tied for last in sacks. So the Coyotes need some work getting around the offensive lineman of the teams they are facing. However, in spite of these shortcomings, there are a couple players that are the primary reason the team is not too far behind in those areas. First is Chip Otle (defensive end), he leads the team in tackles for loss. He is in the top ten for tackles behind the line and six sacks of the quarterback, both the most for the team. His most recent performances of note include week 10’s performance against Myrtle Beach. He had 8 tackles, 3 for a loss, and a sack. More players on the line like Otle and Kansas City would be looking at a very different record than 4-8. Second is the unstoppable Douglas Quaid (linebacker). This dude is to be feared. Very often a runner will get through the line only to be stopped hard by Quaid. In week 9’s game against Portland, he had a couple sacks, 7 tackles, and a fumble forced and recovered. He’s second in the DSFL in total number of tackles, so he’s who you see most whenever you watch Kansas City play. Either Chip Otle or Douglas Quaid would be worthy of receiving an award after the season’s end. (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - Voltaqe - 02-12-2020 In this very fun heavy league I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the Offensive Player of the Season award for the DSFL than my teammate Rando Cardrissian. He has been absolutely electric this whole season and is the biggest reason that the Kansas City Coyotes are even going to the playoffs. At the time of writing he is currently sitting in third place for rushing yards with less attempts than the two players above him. He also has a very respectable 5 yards per carry which is good enough for top 10 for rushers with at least 50 rushing attempts. Now these stats are all well and good but the thing that really separates himself from the rest of the pack is his staggering 13 rushing touchdowns on the season. He leads the second place rusher by 3 touchdowns. If all of that doesn’t make you a believer let’s not forget that he is doing all this while there is another very competent rusher breathing down his neck in Andrew Nova. Anywhere else and Nova would probably be the top option but Cardrissian is so good he has relegated him to a backup role. With all this evidence there should be no reason Cardrissian does not win Offensive Player of the Year or at the very least Running Back of the Year. Words 224 (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - AdamS - 02-12-2020 Kyle Idlewyld is a rookie DE for the Austin Copperheads but you wouldn't know it to look at his numbers. He stepped right on and had a healthy amount of sacks but more importantly led the league in TFLs. Not led rookies....led the league. That's a great way to start your career, especially after declaring ng yourself worthy of earning (not being handed) the highest contract at your position. But it's more than that. It's a clear sign that Kyle should be strongly considered for DROY. I know DLine isn't the sexiest position, but if you're sexiness, the man penetrated the offenses backfield more than anyone else in the league. We've been saying for a while now how rookie dlinemen should be viewed through the lens of their position when it comes to this award and this is the perfect chance to show that. And while we're at it? He has a very strong claim for the DLOY too. A hell of a first season for the #1 pick that should end in at least one of not both of these awards. And of course a Pro Bowl spot, which shouldn't even require thinking about. (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - RotticusScott - 02-12-2020 Myrtle Beach is a team looking at a lot of awards after this season. I think the team would agree the most important one is the ultimini, but for now we'll take a look at some possible individual awards around the team. First, we have the two best GMs in the DSFL. Cory and Frost have made almost every single draft pick into an active updater. I had no intentions of taking this league seriously when I signed up, thinking it'd be fun to just check out. The MB GM's changed that though, and I am now addicted to TPE and activity checks. Next we have the outstanding play of our defense. Frost and PickSix could very well be competing for CBoTY. Rotticus Scott is in contention for best 14th round pick in the league (but probably won't win), Jeffrey LaVert could even win Safety of the year. Trevor Mouseman is a sneaky contender for LBoTY, and Sid Sarvepally has backpacked our entire offense. I honestly think every position could win an award. I know one thing for sure, every player will win the Rotticus Scott good buddy award. Some people not even on the Buccs might win the award, it's very prestigious. (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - frithjofr - 02-12-2020 SHL Welfare Claim (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - ap8333 - 02-12-2020 I love my team. The Coyotes have been a fun team to play on, and while the wins might not be rolling in, we keep moving forward and improving. Our defense has been fun to watch. We’ve seen incredibly impressive seasons from my teammates. Quaid with over 120 tackles, three forced fumbles, 2 fumbles recovered, and a pick. Chip Otle getting to the quarterback in the backfield 6 times. These are just a few of the highlights of our defense. However, as much as I love my teammates, it wouldn’t be a fair assessment if I didn’t give a shoutout to a competitor of mine, Inspectah Deck. It’s pretty simple. Game recognizes game. And Deck’s got game. The presence that he has had on the field is undeniable. He’s gotten to the quarterback 14 times so far this season, 5 more times than anyone else in the DSFL, including 4 in one game. If that weren’t impressive enough, he’s also tied for 4th in PDs among players outside of the secondary and leads all non-defensive linemen in TFLs. While I’d be happy to see any of my fellow Coyotes contending for Defensive PotY (and I think we have some contenders), it’s impossible to deny that offenses take notice when they see Deck lined up on the other side of the field, and he has made the best of his opportunities this season, not only when getting to the backfield and being a prolific pass rusher, but also when dropping back into coverage. (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - BRNXB0MBERS - 02-12-2020 Linebacker Marlo Smart, a three-year letterman at th' University o' Delaware, was drafted by th' Norfolk Seawolves wit' th' 13th o'erall pick o' th' S17 DSFL Draft. He was tabbed by th' crew t' shore up a porous defense that had struggled since its inception. Smart has ne'er missed a game since joinin' th' DSFL in which he established hisself as th' cornerstone o' a strong linebacker corps. Smart earned a startin' position in trainin' camp o' his rookie year 'n started every game that season. He was snubbed fer DSFL Linebacker o' th' Year, which he used as fuel t' continue his dominance on th' field. In S18, Smart led th' DSFL in tackles, although his crew struggled t' a 2-12 log. He finished th' year wit' 164 total tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, 'n two passes defended. S19 was a similar tale wit' Smart leadin' th' league in tackles despite an 0-14 log. In total, he had 160 total tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 'n two passes defended. He absolutely dominated in S20 wit' 107 total tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, 'n 12 passes defended. Despite bein' asked t' play more downs in coverage, he continued his defensive dominance. His flexibility, great stats, 'n impressive consistency should deliver 'im th' title o' Defensive Player o' th' Year. 233 words (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - BadLck - 02-12-2020 Picking just one player from such a strong Myrtle Beach Buccaneers is actually an extremely hard thing to do. One position we got on lockdown and are basically guaranteed to win is corner back of the year. We have not just one but two of the best cornerbacks in the league and honestly they are just competing with each other on who will win. The two in question are of course Dax Frost and one of our newer acquisition Hehateme Picksix. Our defense is arguably the best in the league and they are the two cornerstones of that defense. With them locking down the receivers so hard they take a lot of strain off the rest of the defense. It let's the big bois on the defensive line like me focus on selling out for the run on run plays or gives us time to work against the offensive line to get those sacks in. It let's the linebackers and safety's play more aggressively and read the play so they can be proactive instead of reactive. All around instead of playing safe we are able to go for those big highlight plays knowing those two got our backs. If one of them dont win cornerback of the year I would demand a recount because there is no way in hell it could be anyone else. Words: 225 (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - White Cornerback - 02-13-2020 Written Option: This week is the week of both the Oscars and Valentine’s Day. For this week’s PT, spread the love! Write 200 words or more on why one or more of your teammates deserves recognition in this year’s NSFL/DSFL awards I think Crisco has to be a relative lock for Kicker/Punter of the year this time around. My man set the record for longest field goal in NSFL history with an extra four yards to boot. Had countless field goals to clinch clutch victories for the copperheads as they struggled but eventually took the conference and the overall 2nd best record in the NSFL this year. Looking at other positions you have the likes of Kuus and Kyles bum 1OA player who have legitimate shots at the DLOTY. Not bad for an inactive like Kuus who only logs onto the forum to win awards and clap back at fools. Kyle had a p STRONK year too. Mendonca had a sleeper year this one around and it looks like that Rod Tidwell who tidwell this season for large parts of the year will lose out on a WROTY nod to Espe, debatable but its a possibility. Defensively I dont really think there's all that much else in terms you can speak about for an awards nom or nod really. Special teams wise really pretty much the same, Lavelle had an insane end to the season but he slacked off big early in the year and couldn't mae up the ground he lost.
