(S21) - PT4 - Ultimus Dreamin’ - Billybolo53 - 03-30-2020 Myrtle Beach was one win shy of winning it all last year. We are in a strong position to start with a lot of top quality send downs especially on the defensive side of the ball. The defensive line is anchored by Larry Longshot. The linebacking core has Trevor Mooseman and the defensive backfield has Rotti Scott. Those are 3 near capped defensive players at every level of the defense that have led the rookies and set the bar. On the offensive side of the ball, we have our GM Dax Frost at running back. A monster on the field and keeps everyone in the locker room loose. We also have Simon Trembly on the OL. He is the best locker room influence in the league. All positivity all love. With those send downs, Myrtle Beach was set to return to the Ultimini if they had a good draft. MB not only had a good draft we crushed it. The first pick was Jonnhy Hellzapopping. He is streamer, a great locker room guy and earns like crazy. Troen was our next pick. The best DE in the DSFL. I was picked first and that was the cherry on top for this defense. The defense is what is going to carry us to the championship. Ball control with Frost and the running game. Strong defensive output. That's how we got here. No one should be sleeping on MB this year. After an abysmal 2-12 finish a season ago, the Pythons were able to acquire new tool and rebounded quite nicely. The Kansas City Coyotes hold a 2 game lead in the conference and these 2 teams will not face each other again in the regular season. Portland will have to rely on the Birddogs, Royals, Luchadores, and Grey Ducks to help them secure home field advantage. Portland doesn’t have an easy road themselves as they have to face the Luchadores in Tijuana and the Birddogs in Dallas. Both teams, along with Portland, sit at .500 so it could be anyone’s game. The bright spot for Portland this season is their defense which has been stingy to say the least. Unfortunately, their offense hasn’t been nearly as effective as they have the 2nd lowest scoring offense. For Portland to even appear in the Ultimini, they are going to have to go into Kansas City and stop that high-powered offense. We have seen that when the Coyotes are held to 14 points or less, they lose. Once they defeat Kansas City, they are likely headed to Myrtle Beach. The Buccaneers have another strong offense but their defense is one that can be exploited. If Portland can get off to a strong start and minimize mistakes and turnovers, they have a realistic shot at hoisting the Ultimini. (S21) - PT4 - Ultimus Dreamin’ - Dagumpa - 03-31-2020 PBE PT (S21) - PT4 - Ultimus Dreamin’ - juicychase - 03-31-2020 In our inaugural season, the London Royals are in a position to make a run at the playoffs. Although we have much less overall TPE than other teams in the DSFL, we have great leadership, coaching and work ethic. It would probably be unrealistic to expect that we would win a championship as a first year expansion team, however, that is not going to stop us from giving it our best shot. We started out of the gate 1-1 but then suffered some tough losses in weeks 3-6, however, we have won our last 2 and are showing improvement every week. Our defense is led by stud LBers Sandro Ryeu and Darred De Ville with a solid secondary and stout Defensive Line. The offense is starting to gel and is led by QB Colby Jack along with RB Acura Skyline. The WR are very underrated as well with Susan Cash Jr leading the way for that group. The main areas that we need to improve going into next season are the position depth and the individual skill and TPE of our players. We have made too many mental mistakes this year with penalties and turnovers and have allowed way too many points off of special teams plays. Once we have another offseason to train and gain some TPE, I think London will have a great shot a claiming the S22 DSFL title. This year it will end, bringing the franchises’ second Ultimus win to the far north. The time is now, as the incoming expansion draft will surely reshape the image of the team. Bigsby is in his prime, Hanyadi is a super star RB, Rodriguez, Swift and Gordon make a lethal WR trio. The defense is stacked with talent and experience. Even in the kicking game with Smalls at the helm the team is confident every time he enters. The Wraiths alternated wins and losses all season until this current three game winning streak. It looks like they’re finally hitting their stride. The young players have greatly improved from the beginning of the season, going from liabilities to impact players. This current winning streak features two very impressive wins of the road against the New Orleans Secondline and reigning champion Austin Copperheads. Between those two wins there was an evisceration of the Philadelphia Liberty up at home in Yellowknife. There is only one more regular season game remaining, and it’s against the 2-10 Arizona Outlaws. The Wraiths have a great chance to throttle them and earn the 2nd seed in the NSFC. (206 words) (S21) - PT4 - Ultimus Dreamin’ - PMoney - 03-31-2020 The Ultimini is with reach for Kansas City. Having been the first team to secure playoffs in the DSFL, we have 4 more games to potentially secure the #1 seed and HFA advantage throughout the playoffs. With games against the two expansion teams, before last week everyone would have thought that Kansas would sail through the rest of the schedule. Both expansion teams went 2-0 and now there is a real fight on our hands. But KC are prepared for war. The #1 Offence in the league, led by future Baltimore QB and QBotY Chika Fujiwara, KC will put up points. Throwing to the best receiving corps in the league makes it easy for him. Eddie Jeeta is widely considered to be the top WR prospect in the S22 draft and has put up over 500 yards and 4 TD's. The only reason he doesn't have more is the breadth of options to throw to, Michael Witheblock didn't have the stats early on in the season, but is quickly rivalling Jeeta for targets. Tree Gelbman is a safe 7 yards at any time she isn't eating cereal. The #1 Defence in the league. This KC defence does not allow points. 160 in 10 games is 16 better than their nearest rivals and has put up the most PDs, most Ints and second most sacks in the league. There's nothing they can't do. With the projected #1 prospect in the S22 NSFL draft Phat Boi, the defensive line is stacked and the lockdown secondary, with perennial defensive player of the game Jon Bois and Captain Chester Sweets, rivals the real life lockdowns going on around the world. 4 more games until playoffs. Myrtle Bay have been a thorn in the side until now, but won't be so lucky if they make it to the big game. Kansas will be there. (306) (S21) - PT4 - Ultimus Dreamin’ - Muford - 03-31-2020 After a long and humbling season in Colorado, I honestly do believe that they could win the Ultimus and change the Colorado Yeti for the better. The Colorado Yeti are the only team left of the original six that still do not have an Ultimus Win. This defense has some of the meanest mother fuckers on the planet, especially on the front four with Bubba Thumper, John Smirh, Immanuel Blackstone and Steco Ocewilder. These men will rip your faces off as they run past you to get to the Quarterback. The Linebacking Trio is also quite deadly, lead by Tony Gabagool and MVP frontrunner (in my mind) Mo Berry. This defense eats people alive. The offense is no slouch either, lead by Wolfie McDummy at Quarterback followed with Wide Receivers Laszlo Forty-Two, and Red Arrow. The Colorado Yeti are losing John Smirh at the end of the season, since he is going to become a GM of the Chicago Butchers, but this is the year to capitalize and bring a trophy home to Colorado. This team is the bees knees and has the grind to make it all happen, and we as whole believe that we can get a few right calls our way and it’s game over for everyone else. (211 words) |
