After having a dismal start to the regular season, the Orange County Otters will rebound and win the ASFC division. Now some might say, “That’s not really bold” or “But they were good last season.” I say to you, “Keep making excuses.” Hot Take: Mike Boss will lead this team to the big show while dwarfing the season high records set a year ago. "Passing yards?" Yes. "Passing attempts?" Yes. “Can he really improve on his own completion percentage?” Absolutely. “Yeah, but he’s going to throw a lot of interceptions!” Probably, but nobody will remember that when he’s hoisting the Ultimus trophy this fall. “What does this mean for the rest of the team?” well, I am glady you asked. While Mike is out there slinging the ball in everyone’s face, somebody has to be catching it. You are know who I am referring to but I am going to say it anyways. Through the first third of the season, he has been a model of excellence and you can expect that to continue. You heard it here first, Robert Phelps will break the season record for receiving yards held by the beloved Josh Garden. You may as well start printing those championship shirts now.

The Baltimore Hawks will win it all.

Maybe this isn't such a bold prediction to those within the Baltimore LR but I think if you asked anyone else in the league, they'd say someone like the Arizona Outlaws and their stifling defense giving up the fewest points in the league at 61 or the San Jose Sabrecats lead by their potent offense scoring 114 points so far, the most in the league.

I say the Hawks are going to win it all because while they're not the strongest offense, their QB is 4th in the league for passing, but he's got half the interceptions of the number one and two passers in the league right now. Boss and Noble have more yards, the same number of touchdowns as Kyubee (5) and 9 and 8 interceptions respectively. Kyubee is a good game manager and takes care of the ball. That's what you want from a quarterback in this league.

And then defense. Not just scoring defense, they've allowed 81 points so far this year, which is a respectable number but not the top in the league. The Hawks have a fast defense. They swarm to the ball with guys like Broadway, Hendrix, Delacour, and Turner all contributing with sacks, tackles, and interceptions, they have a good shot to become the best defense in the league and dethrone the Outlaws.

(S2) - PT #3 - Bold Predictions - Bojo - 08-08-2017

Bold Prediction: Bojo Kicksit will break his NSFL record of 57 a yard field. He has done it in both the regular season AND a playoff game. It's clear that he has the range when he gets the motivation. Sure, he'll doing a low 40 off the crossbar, but you know sometimes you can't rush perfection. It's all about the long ball in Bojo land, and there will undoubtedly be a 60 yard field goal within the next 3 seasons. I predict that it will come this season, as another game winner, against some scrubby team like the Outlaws. I need an oxygen mask just for my leg because of all the carrying it's doing for our team. With Noble throwing the ball like a hot potato and a Oline that makes cheese jealous, it's clear that our goal is for us to make it in their half of the field and let good ol' bojo boot it from downtown. Sometimes it's not about scoring touchdowns, it's about scoring points and selling seats. How do you sell seats? Winning? No. You sell them by watching some leg throbbing asshole boot it from halfcourt over and over again. In conclusion, my prediction is that I'll hit a 60 yarder by the end of the season. PUT ME IN, COACH

(S2) - PT #3 - Bold Predictions - Bwestfield - 08-08-2017

A league that is only 5 weeks in with 9 weeks left to go leaves a lot of room for speculation. So many different things can happen between now and then. But the idea here is to make a bold prediction. Something that will leave people thinking that there is no way for that to happen. I believe that I Bradley Westfield will beat my previous record of 8 receiving touchdowns. We have 5 games under wraps and I only have 1 touchdown to my name. This is certainly a trend that can last no longer. I was made for this, I am built for this and yet I am failing. The Orange County Otters are having a really hard time finding the end zone and are now starting to struggle kicking standard field goals. Things need to shape up on the field and match what is going on in the locker room. If I can get 1 TD per game for the rest of the games remaining that would leave me with 10. Last year I was consistent throughout. Now it is time to dial it up and finish the season in the best place possible. In the end zone.

My bold prediction is that Joseph Tkachuck becomes the Outlaws' leading receiver for the remainder of S2. Yeah, so he doesn't have the best hands. That's something he's known to be working on in practice. He's definitely not the fastest, or maybe even the strongest, but he is the most driven player on the field when he's played. Over the five games played so far, he is their fourth-leading receiver, behind Jackson, Evans, and Chess, and just above feature back Reg Mackworthy. He has twelve receptions for eighty-one yards, averaging just under seven yards per catch. His longest catch was for eleven yards, and he still doesn't have a touchdown to his name this season. That being said, if he can manage to snag even a few of the balls that he's been dropping, his targets and total yardage will explode. For averaging just over two receptions per game as a do-it-all tight end, he may find greater success with an increased workload. With Arizona, however, he is highly valued for his pass protection, as he has never allowed a sack. I predict that his protecting does not drop off with increased receiving production, and he becomes one of the most valuable tight ends in the National Simulation Football League.

(S2) - PT #3 - Bold Predictions - Darnellthebeast - 08-08-2017

My bold prediction is Darnell Turner will lead all cornerbacks in in both interceptions and passes defensed this year. Turner, a cornerback for the Baltimore Hawks, was drafted 9th overall in the season 2 draft this year. He's already shown that he is a top cornerback in the league. He has two interceptions in five games, which only three players can beat. He also has seven passes defensed already, which puts him at third in the league. Turner is no slouch in run defense either; he has 17 tackles and averages over three tackles a game. To top this off, Turner is one of the fastest growing cornerbacks in the league. He is one of seven corners with over 200 TPE, only two of which are season two players. He only uses the best shoulder pads and gloves available and plans to spend some extra time with the coaches this week. His cleats are also the best available, and he says that they have a definite impact in making him run faster and cut quicker. Turner's immense dedication paired with his natural ability will make him the leagues premier defensive back. Teams will regret passing on the star corner in this years past draft.

(S2) - PT #3 - Bold Predictions - Vikain - 08-08-2017

My big bold prediction is that the Safety L. Jefferson wins the defensive MVP. Jefferson has been one of the most productive safeties in the league and has become a cornerstone on the liberty defense. He is second on the the liberty defense in tackling only behind the linebacker D. Maric and 8th overall in the whole league. Jefferson is also tied for the league lead in interceptions with 4 with one he took for a defensive touchdown. He also racked up 4 pass deflections. These stats are very impressive across the board and Jefferson should be recognized as a premier safety with speed that even flash would be jealous of. “He’s such a good player both in the locker room and on the field. He’s reads plays like he stole the other team's playbook and ...I’m pretty sure this guy has photographic memory. He can read the plays and adjust himself and the whole defense” says Marmeladov his fellow teammate. “We have not gotten on the start that we wanted but that last win has gotten guys hyped up and ready for Week six. Jefferson and others on the Defensive side really created big plays against the Yeti and I’m confident they can keep playing like that for the rest of the season” said the defensive coordinator.

(S2) - PT #3 - Bold Predictions - iamslm22 - 08-08-2017

My bold prediction is one that will not be shocking to those in my locker room. The Baltimore Hawks are going to win our division. Yes, the team many selected as the worst non-expansion team in the league will win our division. I'm not going to fluff up too much here I'm going to let the stats speak for themselves.

First off - Our offensive line, statistically speaking, is one of the best in the league. The Hawks have tied for the least amount of sacks given up in the league. Despite having FIVE Rookies, the Hawks have allowed less than one and a half sacks per game from their offensive line. That is HUGE. The Hawks are also third in the league in Pancakes at 88. But arguably the best part of the O-Line's stats are related to star Running Back Darlane Farlane

Farlane is the NSFL's break out star, and he keeps getting better. This past week he set a career high in yardage and will help lead the Hawks to the coveted division title. Farlane is averaging 3.7 yards per carry and leads the league in yards, carries AND touchdowns. Dude is a WORK HORSE.

The final reason to have high expectations for Hawks is their D. The Hawks are second in the league in sacks, leading the league in forced fumbles AND fumbles recovered.

Optimism is high in Baltimore and with a match against the Legion we have a real good shot at starting out 4-2. Don't count us out.
