RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Net - 07-06-2021

Wow, in my short time being in the ISFL I have met some great users. It's crazy how much a sim league can do for you. So let's get started.

I wouldn't be here without @BenDover, he took a chance on me when no one else did and I hope it payed off! I think my time in Minnesota was awesome and I wouldn't change a thing. Other users like @Tylus, @RussDrivesTheBus and @24redcrayons helped with that too. I remember one of my first days in Minnesota Russ and CC and us all talked for 3 hours straight, no breaks. Tylus and I would be in vc jamming, and 24 is just a goofy guy, love you guys. Minnesota was the place I learned that I could be myself. Then I went to Chicago...oh boy this was a great place! @Bayley thanks for drafting me I guess, even though I was a semi-active you still played me and never gave up. Love you and I can't wait to see what the future brings. @ForSucksFake you have some of the best energy I've ever seen, like how? It's 2 AM and you are saying Net you motherfucker go to bed or I'll make you (just kidding, something like that). And of course...@TheCC. Three words to describe him? Legend, Goat, Dumb. Dumb because he fell of a bike and took that now iconic selfie lol. Of course I can't forget that. But we ended up in Chicago and had a great time. Thank you for the amazing memories there, I'm grateful for it every moment.

In my next chapter, I gotta say @124715 has been cool, he helped me do some things. Also @negs, @Dextaria, @LSUFAN101 and @.emfaith also are kinda cool. I know I probably forgot some people (quick one I remembered is @TheSparkyDee!), but I always will remember you whoever you are. Love you all and good night.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - DELIRIVM - 07-06-2021

My response to this will be a little different than most. I don't think it will be as targeted as some others on here. So I guess let's just get it underway.

I have been around this league for a long time. And by around, I mean that I've been one hell of a bust over and over and over. I've accounted to much less than what I have on other leagues. For some reason, whether it be the update schedule or the way things are run, I've never been able to really dig into the ISFL the same as other leagues. I have exceled multiple times in the SHL. I've been great at my updates so far on the PBE. But the ISFL has been bust after bust, disappointment after disappointment. And I'm tired of it.

So the people I am going to say thank you to are the ones that haven't completely given up on me growing into a useful player and meaningful user on the ISFL. There are so many great people here that are in multiple leagues, people I have brushed into over and over again, but I've never gotten to see them in their true habitat and comfort zone of the ISFL. So, this article is to you that hasn't given up on InciteHysteria/DELIRIVM as a user. To any of you that think I can be a good user here. You're a great friend. There is nothing more that I'd like to do than be a great player in the ISFL and you are what gives me strength to try over and over. I feel like this time is different. I have approached so many things differently in my life in the last year. And maybe this is the time that a late pick player by me will shine on a team in both the DSFL and ISFL.

I am so looking forward to getting to know many people in this league better. So many fun personalities and kind people are here. And I'm glad we've gotten to interact in the SHL and PBE, but I am excited to be here in the ISFL after 30 seasons and ready to make a real impact this time.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Dextaria - 07-06-2021

Well first and foremost I have to thank @Pythonic , @Kyle , @SchwarzNarr , and WithTheMoose (I have no idea what your name is here lol) for convincing me to create in the league and choose to be an offensive lineman. Big thanks to Pyth and Kyle in particular for helping with the build. Definitely just starting was the biggest hurdle since I don't know a thing about football, so that extra push and information was really helpful in getting myself started.

Another shoutout to the Vancouver Whalers ISFL crowd with @zaynzk , @Frostbite , @mee , @yonggarius , @Kyamprac , and @ddrector for introducing to me what the ISFL is (sorry if I'm missing anyone). This also includes @Amidships, @Ephenssta , and @ConnorM123 who were only DFAs, but still left a mark with the Whalers. I didn't know about other leagues and how big the ISFL seems to be so hearing you all talk about it was eye-opening.

Now onto the team that picked me up, the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Thanks to @Crodyman and @RussDrivesTheBus for bringing me in. The locker room has been great for me to learn about the league and football in general. Everyone has been really welcoming and from the time I stepped foot into the locker room, I knew that this group had each other's backs when needed. Truly a championship worthy team and a great group of people. I have met many people in the locker room and don't think I can tag them all, but just know what everyone I've interacted with has been nothing but amazing! The few that stand out include @Painted , @ThunderTitan82 , @Gragg9 , @Muford and @katarn22. From the Pokemon bot to the counting bot. It has been a blast and would have no issues coming back. Plus winning the Ultimini before I'm drafted is amazing!

Thanks to @Accka for the sig and @siddhus for helping me get my rookie tasks graded for the playoffs! The sig looks amazing and the TPE must've helped in getting the Minnesota Grey Ducks that cup!

@WhatAmUs enjoyed playing Phas with you. You seem like an awesome dude and we should play again some time.

@negs from the moment I joined the league, you reaching out was amazing. Love talking to you and keep up the good work!

I hope I didn't miss anyone, but just know that I have yet to have a negative encounter! So if I've interacted with you, just know it's been a good one <3

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - sakrosankt - 07-06-2021

There are a lot of people I am happy to have met and have spent time with in this league. When I created back then, I didn't really know what I was doing. So I checked some other creates, to know what was expected from me. So first of all, I have to thank @QuirkyTurtle, you were the template for my player creation. Funny thing was, we were about to get drafted to the same team only a few days later in the DSFL draft.
And this was the birth of the yeet squad, oh those were funny times. @Starboy @Toastydata @QuirkyTurtle @RenoJacksonHS @tan5o4 what an awesome time that was. We were yeeting it and almost went all the way to the title that way. Of course there's more to that team, thanks in addition to @Buttersqauch101 @PMoney @Matty7478 it was cool to learn the ins and outs of the sim with all of you. I really enjoyed getting to know the handles of a war room and to get some experience in that matter. It was a great time.

After the first season, the ISFL draft happened and I joined a new team. I was very excited for the draft and wasn't sure what to expect from the big league. I had no clue of where I'll go and what teams thought of me as a prospect, and I ended up on the expansion franchise Sarasota Sailfish, picked in the 3rd round as the 3rd receiver taken. It was a match made in heaven I want to say. First of all, big big thanks to @Frostbite and @RainDelay for drafting me. Also big thanks to let me join the war room as the first member to do so. I have enjoyed my time on that team so so much, and it's all because of what you build there. After two seasons helping out in the war room and basically doing the sim testing part, RainDelay had to step down due to irl stuff coming up. That was at the time when you @Frostbite decided to put me in as your co-GM. What a time! What a chance! What an honor! I loved GMing this team and did all the way. If it wasn't for irl stuff coming up, I wouldn't have stopped this season. It was a pleasure leading this team with you and getting to work with all the awesome players on this team.

What would a team be without a war room? Thanks a lot for all the help over the past seasons, you all are awesome @TropicaliaCC @furiousPanda @Billybolo53 @tMuse @abh89 @slate @Mojojojo @LB3737 @FootballIsCool. I really don't know what we would do without you, you are a vital part making this team what it is. A major, special shoutout to @Mojojojo who took over for me as GM a few days ago. Your energy and thrive already proved that you are the perfect fit for GM of this team, you do a wonderful job, thank you so much.

Of course there are a lot of players who make this team the wonderful place it is. One guy, that spent his whole time on the same team as me and didn't get a mention so far is one of the best ones there is in this league @Booger. You are such a cool guy, I love sharing the same locker room and thanks for being such an awesome user. I love you.

I want to thank a lot of other players too, who I got to work with for a while now. Thanks to @JBLAZE_THE_BOSS and @Rise of Smitty for being understanding and listening to all the stuff I'm saying, happy to have you on the team. Thanks to @Naosu @"frijolhead" @puolivalmiste @StadiumGambler @KingSean @StevenOSullivan @bjkman @jdourtled for your loyalty and trust and for being the team players you are and help to make the locker room a place I love to hang out in. A special thanks to @Blastmeaway, who hardly ever stops by in our locker room, but for doing the tasks I tell you to do and being an awsome person overall. Glad I got to share a locker room with you in another league.

My final thanks goes to an irl friend, who I enjoy talking about the league and so much more when meeting for a few beers regularly. Thanks @gbfn, excited to share a team with you now!

I'm pretty sure I forgot someone to thank specifically who'd have deserved it, sorry for that and thanks for your understanding. A big thanks to all the job holders in this league, to all GMs and HO members, you are doing a great job. Thanks for being part of such an awesome league and making this experience such a great one. Thank you all!

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Mooty99 - 07-06-2021

Ok so this is could be a very long one, I have been in this league far too long to thank everyone that I have had great dealings with otherwise this would be like 1000 words rather than 300 but never mind. I am going to try and do it in chronological order but I am sure that I will mess it up.

The 1st person to thank for me is @Tomasnz who was the person who introduced me to the league to begin with and whose fault it is I am here. The next person I would like to thank is my orginal DSFL GM of the season  15 winning Solar Bears @PDXBaller who helped me getting started and was a person who really got me excited to begin with when I 1dt joined the league.

Next we move onto my 1st and only ISFL team the Austin Copperheads, i am on my 2nd 1 team player with them and that shows you how muchnI love this team, and so the people I have to thank for bringing me there in the 1st place have to be @AdamS and of course the amazing @JKortesi81. JK is probably my closest sim league friend and is an amazing person I am so lucky to have met. I of course GMed Austin with him and when he stepped down I was lucky enough to work with @Amidships who was a dream to work with and is one of the loveliest and most intelligent people in this league and I have been so fortunate to work with and become great friends with him. There are also so many people in Austin that I enjoy talking to every day such as @Kyle @Kyamprac @Tonzy @RDBSouthPaw @frazzle14 @GlimsTC @WhatAmUs and everyone in Austin you are all the very best people!

I have also been lucky enough to serve my time in HO and am so lucky to have worked in there with so many brilliant people and would like to say thank you to @bex for all she does and time she gives up for this league.

Lastly I would like to shout out a couple of people who are in this league but I had the best time with in the now defunct GRSL, why? Because I can and because I was one of my favourite sim experiences ever, so thank you @Duilio05 @37thchamber @Opera_Phantom you boy were the best.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - y2bobman - 07-06-2021

As someone who doesn't get too involved in the social side of things this is maybe a little tricky. There are loads of folks I've spoken with and I'll apologise now that I will have got names muddled up. No one ive spoken with has been anything but positive, and all have made me welcomed.  First off, thanks to @Crunk for getting me involved and persuading me to sign up to this thing. To @Cincyfan96 for being the first scout to reach out... Although I didn't trigger that you were scouting me as I thought you lived in Tijuana and just wanted to talk about the Bengals, my bad! To the London GMs @Sylphreni and @Highhaschdi for taking a punt on me in the 10th round, thank you. And thank you again for that Ultimini winning night, amazing. Folks in the London LR were top class, @katarn22, @Swanty, @abh89 to name just a few. Special shout to @Maglubiyet for not only being a top LB but for also the kind words each time Burfict won a defensive game ball.

To the scouts who reached out before the ISFL draft, thanks for all for the conversations and for giving me the background on your players and hopes for future, all really interesting. And to the GMs who took a punt on me late in the 3rd, I thank you @Unicorn and @Z-Whiz for inviting me to spend my career down in Arizona to hopefully, one day, lift that Ultimus trophy. And to the entire Arizona LR (and the old gang too, @Opera_Phantom, your dad was a hell of a QB) I know I only pop in and out but it means a lot to be part of this journey with you all.

Outside of that, I want to thank the folk who asked questions for the 1377 podcasts (or whatever Crunk is calling it these days) @PMoney, @Jguy, @platanocat, @goodfortunecoffee, @Kyamprac, @LatinViking, @xenosthelegend, @DeadlyPlayer, @Crodyman plus a few already mentioned above, you helped make the Pods much more than me just failing to down a beer quickly.

I will have inevitably forgotten some people, so yeah, apologies.
Cheers.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - jzajenius36 - 07-06-2021

I’ve already written similar articles praising a few select individuals, but I’m always happy to be handed an opportunity to shout them out again.  My first acknowledgement goes out to a user that was involved with Honky Tonk Hawyood in his infantile state.  That would be user qWest, who at the time was the GM of the Portland Pythons and drafted me into a sim league that was bewildering to me at first.  Although he was not long for Python management, he answered many of  my initial questions.  qWest was my Baby Einstein.  And what’s more, he was the user that created my terrific sig that I have not changed off of since the day I was drafted by the Liberty in my second season.  While I haven’t spoken much at all with him since then, I see his created player crushing it in the ISFL as the likely MVP candidate, and he’ll likely get another DM from me down the line when it’s time for me to grovel for a new sig.

My second user acknowledgement goes out to Punter15 aka Pat aka Doi Fieri aka Lip Chap, current General Manager of the Philadelphia Liberty.  While he was not the GM of the Liberty when I was drafted, when he came in he immediately made me feel like I was a big part of the team and its future, despite the fact that I was an unproven, quiet user.  Since then he has helped me groom my player, handle the contract process, and check in on me regularly.  I really can’t imagine playing for any other GM at this point.  Maybe that’s to the detriment of my player’s future, but so be it.  But let’s not venture that far.  For now I’m pleased with my player’s success and my involvement in the league, and a lot of credit is due to the Punter for my continued involvement.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - BOOM™ - 07-06-2021

Well here is a point task that I might find a little difficult to complete. I'm pretty terrible at writing content and not incredibly active around the league but doing graphics probably wasn't going to work for this one. I hope that I don't offend anyone who I don't tag but if you know me well enough, possibly from other sims), know that I appreciate knowing you. Guys like @OrbitingDeath @MMFLEX etc, will hopefully know what I mean. Here goes.
I've been here before, way back in season number two I think, when it was the NSFL and I was an Otter. The league was different then, and only a handful of the original users remain, to remind me of the time I've wasted doing these sim leagues. But that was then, and here I am now, a proud member of the London Royals and maybe sometime in the future, the San Jose Sabercats. Both teams have been influential in my activity and desire to remain active and earning TPE, in the hope that(well, in San Jose's case) at some point I'll be able to contribute to their future success here in the ISFL.

Being a part of the London Royals has been outstanding. Sure I've had highs and lows since creating my TE, Buffalo Hunter, but the support and encouragement from @slate and @katarn22 from the moment they drafted me fairly late in the DSFL draft, has been a major factor in me still being here to be perfectly honest. They have both encouraged me, thanked me for team graphics etc and always answered any questions or concerns quickly and tried to assist me however possible. Thank you to both of you!

Speaking of London, from the moment I was added to the Royals locker room, the entire team has been welcoming and a joy to talk with, whenever I get the chance to post in there. From @EricNCSU , @WildfireMicro and newer members like @Dp-420 and @Dolphins , I've always enjoyed my time in London.

Then when the Sabercats got desperate and selected Hunter in the ISFL draft, @Asked Madden , @ckroyal92 and the rostered players have all been very patient and welcoming. I've caused an issue or two recently, but the front office was calm and communicated with me professionally and clearly. It was appreciated.

My final mention is @Luciddreams702 simply because he's one of the nicest guys I've met in sim leagues and I've really enjoyed learning more about him, both from DM's, locker room chat and his amazing podcasts. He's been supportive and encouraged me, been a great locker room presence and fully deserves his recent appointment to co-GM of the Royals. I believe that he is destined for great things in the ISFL and am glad that I've had the opportunity to see him from the very beginning of his journey. A better guy you'll be hard to meet.

Well there it is, just a few of the users who helped me or I've enjoyed "meeting" here in the ISFL. Hopefully, there will be many more names to add next time.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Pat - 07-06-2021

I am so very glad that this task has a minimum word count and not a maximum. I'm not sure how many words this will take to get through, but let's begin this journey together, shall we?

First and foremost the one person I have to thank the most for me even being here is my best friend, Cody aka @ShnarlyDude . We decided to join the league the same day and when we did we both had the mentality of, "oh this could be fun but we'll see." One year later we're both tenured General Managers and very involved in the league.

When I first joined the league, the first place that felt like home was the Tijuana LR. I didn't know anyone in there, but they all made me feel right at home. This is going to be a big mess of tags, and I'm sure I'll miss someone, but here goes anyways:
@SwankyPants31 @mithrandir @Tonzy @slothfacekilla @Ben @JPach @Jay_Doctor @Rufio_NZ @TomHanks @Kotasa @GuitarMaster116 @deadlunatic @CalvinGolladay

I will never forget the days and nights in Tijuana a year ago where we would just sit and bullshit for hours making dumb jokes and having a blast. You all are the whole reason I even became moderately active and helped me become the (hopefully decent) user I am.

Back during Season 25, a small group of us embarked on a crazy journey to update the sim. Now, I know there are mixed feelings about how that went, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention the two people I got to know very well during those crazy days: @slate @Swanty . The only thing that kept me sane during those months where we put in literal hundreds of hours together was working with you two so heavily. You're great people and I am so thankful that I got to share that experience with you.

There are dozens of users I could tag from my Liberty family because of the ways they have enriched my league experience. Instead of even trying to qualify what all you mean to me, I'm just going to leave it at, "you all are amazing and I love each and every one of you. The way all of you have embraced me and Cody as your GMs, as well as the personal investment you've all taken in transforming the Liberty, is something I can never thank you enough for."

Lastly, if you're reading this, then know that you are an important part of this league and I appreciate everything you do.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - gbfn - 07-06-2021

To be honest, i don't know where to start right off the bat. But i will give it a try. I am not that much of a ping guy, so i will leave that out for now.
First and foremost i want to thank my former teammates in Honolulu. I know it was not ending how i and you planned, but nonetheless i want to express my gratitude towards you.
The last few seasons were somewhat of a rollercoaster ride. Going from 3-13 in season 27 to 11-4 securing the top seed in our conference nobody would have expected.
Unfortunately we missed the playoffs in the last two seasons. But you guys where neither ranting about the sim nor have you given up. I could not watch games live but i always went back in the chats and looked up the ALL CAPS MESSAGES.
Thank you for taking the risk in drafting a guy with no sim league experience. Thank you for adding me to war room. I love how you all care about the team and work hard to get on the right track.
I also want to give a huge shout out to the GMs here. God and the rest of the leage knows whats challenging and tiresome task it is to manage all the stuff that comes with being a GM.
If its being scouting, FA talks, getting strats ready for gamedays, contract stuff or just being present in the LR and provide a healthy and fun evironment.
Thanks to everyone who keeps the league running, from HO, to simmers, budget team, updaters, auditors, events team, my fellow bankers, and so many more. If i didnt mention you in here please also feel thought of.
One last thing - and i will include a ping here.
@sakrosankt Thank you for bringing me into the league and showing around, for sticking up with me lamenting on how the sim sucks, and for your advice in general.
I am looking forward playing on a team with you, i certainly gave you a hard time convincing me in Free Agency.
