RE: (S31) PT 3 - Investments - IceBear32 - 09-28-2021 Okay, I got caught trying not turning in the extra money on my last check so now I am back to being broke. With the contracts hopefully coming in I feel I am safe to start investing some money into things to increase my wealth. Now I want to make sure this is something both sustainable to both my brand and the general market. As a Honolulu player, I know there is going to big a big increase in fandom over the next few seasons so I wanted to target my investment towards that increase of fandom. Introducing the IceBear Flower shop. This flower shop will serve as both a traditional flower shop in the sense of weddings, funerals, and anniversary type gifts. But in additional to the traditional needs, my flower shop will provide “gameday” flowers and lays for those attending the game. Different flowers representing different players and aspects of the game, like what how jersey work. You will know the type of fan based on their flowers. I think once things even get going we may start making flowers for opposing teams. So now you have a nice indicator of who you should be talking smack to fan wise. These will also be sweet gifts for those who are fans of the team. Me being able to create this market for my own business will hopefully have me rolling in $ soon enough! RE: (S31) PT 3 - Investments - WALDO - 09-28-2021 Alright look, I'm the first to admit that my money managing skills are pretty subpar. I work with my financial advisor on the regular in order to prevent losing a whole lot of money pretty fast, but sometimes I just can't help myself. With my first contract, however, I made some smarter money choices. I got my first ever house, made it look nice with some furniture, got a brand new car that I should have for a very long time, and I made sure to put some money towards paying off my parents mortgage. The rest of my money from my contract I decided would be split up into 2 categories. Category 1, future investments. This is stuff like college for my future kids, putting money into the stock market, and of course, real estate. Real estate is such an easily manipulable market, it feels almost illegal to make the money I make off of real estate, but it is in fact legal, and I am a good landlord, if my tenets need a skip on rent because they had an accident then yeah they can skip. I pay for any repairs needed to the home, and I even get them gifts on their birthday and christmas. Category two, daily spending. This is stuff like food, video games, spotify, stuff like that. Stuff that you get on a daily basis. The purchases are very easy to make and I almost never check the balance on that account because truly, I don't need to. But hey, that's life when you're a multi millionaire. RE: (S31) PT 3 - Investments - Dp-420 - 09-28-2021 My player has done absolutely nothing to maintain financial freedom post-playing days. He earns as much as he can in order to get equipment, then he spends it on equipment. Rinse, Repeat. I suppose he may have a big pay day in his future, but right now, there is no excess funds for any misstep’s pre-retirement. I don’t have any idea what Ill do about earning money after I retire. As I said I am already living paycheck to paycheck, the first week I don’t play, equals the first week I have no money to maintain my current mundane standards of living. Its actually kind of scary to think about. Im so po, I can’t afford the “or”. Im still young in my ISFL career though. Still haven’t made it out of the DSFL yet, even though I feel like my time is coming very soon. I keep working hard and try to make the right decisions on the field that result in positive plays for the team. If I keep doing what Im doing, yeah maybe some day Ill make the big bucks that would allow me to actually put away for the future, and potential little Parm’s running around the world. That day, I cannot wait for that day to come. Lion Gang. Code: 215 RE: (S31) PT 3 - Investments - cole6249 - 09-28-2021 It’s no lie that John Riggins is a man of luxury. his 2 million dollar condo in florida is proof of that. One look inside reveals his extensive leopard skin coat collection, along with his multicolored non-financed water beds. In the living room we can see his salt water aquariums, with a wide array of imported fish from all of the word- his prize fish being a rare japanese fighting fish. Other recent purchases have been, a hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 (sexy but modest), a gaming pc ( gotta play that new battlefield), bitcoin (several of them in fact), a saxophone (why not) and a lightning rod for security purchases. John Riggins is a big investor in the crypto market as well, meaning that some days he has to eat ramen noodles and some days he rents a party bus and tours the united states. He also runs a italian restaurant on the side called “Riggins and Rigatoni” which involves weekly challenges such as a meatball eating competition or eat pasta till you puke. The dallas birddog’s O-line is a big fan. He is looking at real estate as well, namely the chucky cheese franchise. Speaking of, Bring out the rat suit crypto just went up WC: 206 RE: (S31) PT 3 - Investments - Reno - 09-28-2021 PBE PT Affiliate RE: (S31) PT 3 - Investments - LordEscanor - 09-28-2021 My mindset has always been to work hard now, so that I can relax with no worries when I’m older and retired. I’m putting the work in so I can earn those big time superstar contracts one day in the big league. I’m hitting up those press conferences. I’m appearing on people’s podcasts. I’m racking up good money. What people don’t see is that I put a lot of money into my savings account. I’m already a multimillionaire. If people are living life comfortably with literally millions less, I can live comfortably with my money without having to blow it all. I’m perfectly happy with buying a two story house with about three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Why do I need a mansion? Why do I need a Lamborghini or a Bughatti when I’d love to have a Camaro? I work hard now so I don’t have to later, but at the end of the day, I could retire right now and live well within my means for the rest of my life. It’s all about smart decisions. Of course, I spoil myself every now and then, like this brand new Cuban Link, but even normal waged people spoil themselves from time to time. Live smart. Be smart. Set your family up for success. "Spicy Ron's Sussy Pizza". The money leftover from my football endeavors will be used to fund the chain and eventually expand our locations. I plan on using 100% ethically sourced child labor in order to ensure maximum profitability. Using only the finest ingredients we can steal from local farms using our child mercenary army. Our covert espionage missions will be used to source all of our wheat, tomatoes, cheese, and other various toppings. Training (both in pizza making and in combat) will be given directly by me. Thousands of children will be put through our pizza combat camp, and only the strongest survivors will be allowed to work for 50 cents an hour under the glorious Spicy Ron's Sussy Pizza name. With our final goal being one thing: Out-pizza the Hut. Toppings include: -Pepperoni -Olives -Slim Jims -"Spicy Rons" (red pepper flakes) -Bullets -Milk -Pepperoni (unleashed) -Hot Glue -Cold Glue -Footballs -Gift cards (to Spicy Ron's) -Banana Peppers -Swag -Sausage With this plan, I know we'll be successful, and create a generational pizza company that I can pass down to my children: Mild Don and T'Journathan. Who will rule the business the same way their father will. As Buffett has proven, it is more reliable over a long span than even the best hedge fund managers can hope to be. The big benefit of an index fund is the fact that Tyler does not have to do anything to keep it up. As long as he keeps adding his allowable amount to the fund, he will continually make money over his career and long after. It is not the most flashy answer, but Tyler has never been a particularly flashy person. He will also take a small amount of his earnings and make investments in areas that he has interests in. He will likely help get some indie game developers off the floor. He will help out some non-profit organizations whose mission he supports and whose work he can verify. These types of investments will be less about the return they will provide, but more about the effect they can have on people who could benefit from some assistance. In the end, Tyler has very little to worry about as his career enters its twilight years. |
