RE: (S32) PT 5 - Bad Call - SomeSay... - 12-07-2021 We can talk about penalties being part of the game, but man have there been some bad calls in the ISFL before, I don’t know if we are sourcing are refs from the NFL or what, but they seem to be just as incompetent sometimes. But never was there a time they were more off the mark than when they called my former Offensive Lineman for holding two times in ONE game when I had never had a penalty in my career. I feel like someone had some money on the penalty line and really wanted that flag thrown. Luckily, for us, it did not have an impact on the game, but it did have a impact on me, this motivated me out of this world to show I NEVER hold. From that point on, I dominated inside, with multiple games with double digit pancakes, and once AGAIN, NEVER had another penalty for the rest of the season. I wait for the snap, I bulldoze the fat man in front of me, and then I try to remove the QBs head. Whats the problem? Since when was "roughing the passer" a bad thing? Isn't that my job? I just don't get it, they're literally paying me MILLIONS to get to the QB, and 6, 7, maybe 12 times a game they throw their stupid little banana flags at me for doing my job. This is rage inducing. We've lot 5 games in a row, and the coach keeps blaming me. I cost the team 100 yards a game? So put me at WR, I'll get them back! WR, TE hell even QB - I'll show them! Put me at QB and I'll bulldoze their o-line instead, and when they try tackle me we can get the penalties for roughing me! I swear, I'm THIS close to retiring for the 3rd time this season. RE: (S32) PT 5 - Bad Call - StadiumGambler - 12-07-2021 The Portland Pythons during Saleem Spence's time with the team were constantly victimized by awful calls. Portland gave up 9 penalties for 51 yards in the DSFL Season 27 semifinal, compared to Kansas City taking 2 for 20 yards, and some of the calls were questionable. Spence was also victimized by a no-call when Kansas City Strong Safety Tre Washington clotheslined Spence after a whistle, and there was no call. Had Washington's totally unprovoked attack gotten a call, maybe Portland turns around a 31-21 game a bit. Portland also ate 9 penalties to 3 in a semifinal loss to the London Royals in Season 28. Alexander Roach's 3rd quarter phantom pass interference call in particular was a bad one, leading to a London touchdown instead of a 2rd and long and possible long field goal attempt. Had Portland not been unfairly singled out for referee decisions, Spence could have an Ultimini ring to go with his Ultimus one. RE: (S32) PT 5 - Bad Call - Fronk - 12-07-2021 John Huntsman has played many games now in his football career. Throughout those games, a lot of referees have made a lot of bad calls. The most egregious decision happened during a game where John Huntsman was actually on the sidelines watching a game. The game was during the World Football Championships event held in the offseason. The Southwest US team was playing host to the European team. It was halftime when ISFL referee captain, Mark Z. Spot was in front of John Huntsman at the Southwest Treats concession stand trying to decide what to get. John Huntsman, a well known food critic for the Ultimate Fan Experience -ence -ence, knew that the stand had glorious treats such as the Giant Southwest Stuffed Pretzel Calzone, the Cactus Desert Heat Nachos, or the infamous shareable treat: the First Down Churro (10 yards of some of the best churro ever made). Mark Z. Spot chose to get a hotdog instead and John Huntsman still calls this the worst call ever made by an ISFL referee.
