(S3) - PT #4 - Best at what they do - Yurt6 - 10-05-2017 No question in my mind, Silver Fox is the best GM in the NSFL today. Not only has he brought the Liberty, an expansion team, into the playoff hunt this season in only their second season in the league, he also did this with one of the worst quarterbacks in the league. Fox has built one of the best teams in just two short seasons, and many people are looking out, because the Liberty will be a force to be reckoned with soon. What makes Fox the best? His ability to lure top free agents to Philadelphia, and also to make sure that the team is drafting active players. Even without a first round selection in this year's draft, Fox was able to draft a bevy of talent, and pick up the seemingly future franchise quarterback in the process. With one of the best defenses in the league, it would come as a surprise to many that the Liberty were only founded one season ago. Without Fox behind the scenes making extremely shrewd moves, who knows what would've happened. Actually we do know what could've happened, all you need to do is look at the Legion to understand just how good a job Fox has done. Code: 206 Words (S3) - PT #4 - Best at what they do - JKortesi81 - 10-05-2017 The best player at doing what he does is Carlito Crush, the newest prospect for the NSFL. A giant TE known more for his playmaking ability than blocking, the 6’6 monster from the Dominican Republic is a matchup nightmare for linebackers and slot corners alike. Crush can outrace the linebackers, and outmuscle the defensive backs that are usually assigned to him. He’s going to be a fantastic addition to any franchise. You know what else he’s the best at? Crush is actually a world champion snowman builder. He’s won multiple competitions, which is rare for a person who comes from a tropical climate. Carlito used to build sand castles as a boy growing up in Santo Domingo, a favorite past time he has with his father, Brutus. Carlito used the time he wasn’t tearing up the youth leagues in the DR or training to build the sand castles, as it was a way to relax him as he unwound from his day. Once he got to THE Ohio State University, he experienced something he never had before: snow. Carlito would then take to the snow, just as he had the sand, and build simple snowmen, as he has seen others doing before him. Using his talents from the beach, he would go on to create amazing snowmen, winning multiple awards, including the title of world champion just two years ago. He’s left the snowman world behind him as he has his sights set on being the greatest Tight End in history, which doesn’t look like it’ll be too hard. With his outspoken personality, Pierno made a name for himself as the best hype man in college football. A firm believer in sports being just as much a physical challenge as it is a mental challenge, Pierno takes pride in making sure all of his teammates are dialed in by the time the ball kicks off. With a perfect 5-0 record in overtime games while he was at North Carolina State University, a lot of that had to do with his ability to give his teammates that last little ounce of energy needed to secure a victory. In Colorado, Pierno has been no different. Despite being one of the youngest players in the locker room and posting mediocre statistics, he still is the one breaking down the Yeti after every single huddle, giving speeches to fire up the fellas the one jumping around the locker room just before kickoff, the first one to congratulate a teammate after a big play or the first to provide encouragement after a bad one. This season, it’s been a challenge to know where Pierno’s passes will fall, but you always know where his head is. (S3) - PT #4 - Best at what they do - Player1 - 10-05-2017 Picking the best of the best is usually difficult in the world of sports. You can analyze stats, look at footage, or talk about the achievements and accolades that a player has had. One position that it's totally unnecessary at is quarterback. In Season 3, nobody has even come close to the production and talent of Orange County's Mike Boss. Boss had plenty of struggles to overcome early in his career, but now dominates the league in yardage, touchdowns, and rating. With 7 more touchdowns than the next closest player and a staggering 1,065 passing yard advantage, Boss has put himself at the helm of an Otters offense that leads the league in scoring and gives their defense the help it needs to hold off comebacks. With Phelps and Westfield, the NSFL's premier receiving duo, and a supporting cast in Wright, Jenkins, and the rookie Atasuke, Mike Boss has plenty of targets to choose from that have shown they can get the job done consistently while still making big plays. His one true weakness remains the Arizona Outlaws, whose secondary has haunted him since his rookie season with their ability to get interceptions and put constant pressure in the backfield. The future is an uncertain one for this star QB, but there's no doubt that wherever he goes he will be an MVP candidate and he's already writing his application for the hall of fame. (S3) - PT #4 - Best at what they do - Bwestfield - 10-05-2017 How could I possibly highlight anyone other than myself Bradley Westfield. Right now I am arguably the number one receiver in the NSFL. My counterpart Robert Phelps always keeps me on my toes and gives me a run for my money, literally. I have to produce day in and day out in order to be the best. One bad game and it could all be behind me. Being the best at something always has its drawbacks. Everyone has their eyes on you waiting for the inevitable mistake. You walk around with a target on you back constantly. Right now I am on pace for a record breaking season in yards. I have already set personal bests in yards and have matched my personal best in touchdowns. With any luck I will beat that record and any other records I may have. Hopefully this will not be the last season that I can produce numbers like these. I have to thank all of this to the quarterback of the Orange County Otters, Mike Boss. He has been absolutely amazing this year. Our success is symbiotic on not necessarily a result of the other. All I can do is continue my training and work out and be the best damn receiver I can be. (S3) - PT #4 - Best at what they do - automatic - 10-05-2017 Dominic Verns is the best hybrid player in the NSFL. Even though he only plays at linebacker half of the time, he is leading the league in tackles. He has also racked up 7 sacks as he gets involved in the pass rush. For a smaller guy at barely over 200 pounds he excels at stopping the run and breaking out of blocks to take down the quarterback. Verns even has 2 forced fumbles. His 95 speed is elite, even faster than most corners in the NSFL. The other half of the time when Verns isn't in the front 7 he's covering a top tier wide receiver in the passing game. Verns has the second most passes defensed in the league, which is excellent for someone who isn't covering wide receivers half the time. If he was starting full-time at corner he would easily be the top corner in the league. He has 4 interceptions to go with it. He is easily the star player on the OC offense and has been the driving force in helping to keep their team in the game. As the young defense improves having a player like Verns who has proven he has the ability to play almost anywhere on the defense is critical to their future success. A team like orange county has the luxury to grab a young promising linebacker, knowing they can move Verns to full-time corner, or can grab a promising corner, and keep Verns at full-time linebacker.
