(S5) - Weekend PT #4 - Advertising - AzhekAhriman - 01-22-2018 Kansas City Coyotes RB Robby Rainey has been approached by Kansas City shipping firm and recent UPS acquisition target Coyote Logistics to work with their new parent company on an internal advertising spot explaining the impact of the acquisition on the $1.8 billion dollar firm’s roughly 1,000 local employees. Coyote saw a natural opportunity to reach out to the team what with their new entrance into the market this year and the obvious similarity in name. Rainey’s role in the promotion is expected to be two-fold. First as an ambassador of the Coyote way of doing business “Quick, agile, and powerfully efficient” and second as a metaphor for how the company is looking at the acquisition process, namely that new entrants and change in a market can make a positive impact on levels ranging from the individual to the city as a whole. When asked for comment on the spot, Rainey told reporters that Coyote leadership has been in touch with the team’s front office in order to secure production team access to the locker-room and practice facility. “They want to get a feel for what it’s like to be a Kansas City Coyote on the ground level and let me showcase what I can do with the ball in my hands“. Porsche wanted to create a commercial that would showcase its new advanced brakes system, the Dura Stop. To do so, they rented out a car crash test facility and set cars from different brands on pre-designed tracks. Wojcik would push the cars until he got to max speed, then the brake system would deploy and they would measure the distance it took for the cars to stop, while Wojcik was still pushing. First up was an Audi, it went 143 ft before stopping. Then a Hyundai went 177 ft, a Toyota went 155 ft, a Merceded went 139 ft, and a Cadillac went 157 ft. Finally, Wojcik was ready to push the Porsche. He got it up to full speed, then the testers flipped on the brakes and... nothing. It just stopped. 0 ft. Wojcik pushed and pushed and couldn't beat the Dura Stop. Wojcik was given a Porsche of his choosing for his efforts, and they also allowed him to bring in his Luchadores teammates to pick out new Porsches as well.
