(S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - ItsJustBarry - 02-18-2018 Trey Willie's life has been plagued with poor decisions. It would be difficult to narrow down to just a single instance. I would say his biggest instance involving lack of judgment would be shortly after being drafted into the NSFL by the Baltimore Hawks. I am not sure if you are familiar with the city of Baltimore but there just isn't much to do there. Being a rising star in the NSFL, Willie found it was very easy to get some stank on the ol' hang down. It started off as just a game but he quickly became obsessed with banging his way across the city. Unfortunately, even with his lucrative endorsement from Trojan, he does use the product himself. This has quite literally left him in sticky situations. This has landed him in countless court cases regarding paternity tests and child support. While the majority of these cases have been dismissed, he has been forced to settle on multiple case costing him millions in NSFL earnings. (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - run_CMC - 02-19-2018 On one of the rare summer days below 100 degrees in Arizona, Dean Jackson was out for a short walk with his dog. He took a moment to look down at his phone while his dog relieved himself, but looked up quickly at the sound of a rattle. Poised by his remarkably oblivious dog was a large rattlesnake. With no hesitation, Jackson did what he does best: kick. The good news was that the dog was out of danger as the rattler flew over the road. The bad news was that at the same time, a speeding biker was being pursued by police and flew past Jackson at just the wrong time to get hit by the previously mentioned flying snake. The kicker watched in stunned horror as the (thankfully padded) rider tumbled from his vehicle and the police screeched to a halt. Needless to say, the police had some questions and a talk about leaving apprehension of criminals to the professionals, and a discussion on the dangers of “throwing” snakes. The Kansas City Coyotes which drafted Rainey are unique in that private individuals can purchase ownership shares much like a certain team from Green Bay. Rainey wanted to show the people of Kansas City that he believed in the organization and the city it had returned to during the offseason. To that end, Rainey purchased a substantial interest in the Coyotes and several of the firms that did business with them. This second set of transactions are what brought the feds down on Rainey, as they felt sure that the star DSFL RB was utilizing information attained through his privileged position with the team to guide his investment decisions. Several meetings with a South Florida law firm representing Rainey later, the federal agents were forced to concede that they had no hard evidence linking the purchases to private information, and Rainey was relieved of suspicion. Rainey hopes to put this scandal behind him as he heads into the new season at the head of a revitalized Coyotes offense. Code: Word Count: 185 (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - Oles - 02-19-2018 As a star athlete you're bound to get into a situation that may cause some issues, whether it's an encounter with the law, an ex, or just a crisis with food at a party. Write about any sort of situation that falls under this umbrella. When Oles isn’t on the field for the Liberty it’s now pretty well known that he runs a food truck that goes throughout Philadelphia. While driving a food truck and serving the public has its rewards, it also has its fair share of risks. One such risk was a day when the food truck was outside of a business convention, one of the best ways to get the food out there was to market it to the random businessmen and women who came to the city. When a Hawks fan saw the food truck the situation went downhill fast. First, it was just shouting obscenities at Oles, but it got worse and by the time the situation was over the Hawks fan was grabbing Oles from across the counter, Oles obviously wasn’t going to put himself in a bad situation where public backlash would be worse than any fight, so Oles just avoided the guys punches and did not retaliate. When the police arrived, it turned out the man had been drinking and was mad about some interception Oles had made. No one knows for sure what was going through the mind of the Hawks fan, but it certainly wasn’t a great situation for the star Liberty player. (208 words) (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - Supersquare04 - 02-19-2018 Dwayne Aaron isn't known for being an adventurous person. Not after the run in with the cops he had back in middle school. He decided to go to a big party where nearly half the school was going to. There was beer and weed and pretty much all the stuff you'd expect to find at a middle school party. When they got the cops called on them everyone bolted, Aaron managed to avoid the cops but one of the high school football players was caught. That player was on track to get a scholarship from numerous D1 colleges. After seeing that Aaron told himself he wouldn't jeopardize his football career for partying. Needless to say he almost did, he had to have a friend sneak him into his house so his mom wouldn't discover he was drunk. Unfortunately the hangover was quite brutal for the young DA. He had to avoid talking to any adult figure as he was on the verge of puking. In fact he still does not drink beer or whine to an extensive amount to this day, as he wishes to focus on his game more than anything. We will see how long that will last considering he is on a team with Nick Pierno |
