You just need to decide if you are a Kurt Warner and retire early or a Brett Favre and fight for every season you think you'll be effective. I think carryover should be a % of your total earned throughout your career, not what you have when retiring. IF we are doing it just straight carryover % Carryover TPE - kckolbe - 04-17-2018 (04-17-2018, 12:45 PM)iamslm22 Wrote:Yup - I'm at over 1,000 TPE and makin 1M this season. That's why you have a Head Office and "board of governors" or whatever you wanna call them. Teams/GMs will NEVER vote for something that will hurt them. You'll get pushback, sure. But do you want the league to be a joke, or succeed for the long run? ![]() Carryover TPE - DeathOnReddit - 04-17-2018 (04-17-2018, 02:45 PM)iamslm22 Wrote:Yup - I'm at over 1,000 TPE and makin 1M this season. That hurt us. The rule summit has worked fine already, trying to change it now because of this contract stuff will cause more problems than solutions. Carryover TPE - DeathOnReddit - 04-17-2018 I would love to see a fix to the salary cap. I have no problem voting yes to a rule that can fix it, while not having any problems that could be big. But helllll no to carryover. IF we are doing it just straight carryover % I guess my intention with keeping the carryover low-ish would be to not completely dwarf a new player. Even with a 4% on total TPE earned, that could be somewhere in the vicinity of 60 extra TPE for a 1500 TPE career which is basically an active, 10-season player. Recreating with 110 TPE and possibly a flourishing bank account could be discouraging to a player new to the site starting from scratch. Carryover TPE - Durden - 04-17-2018 For reference, GOMHL rules: -Contracts have set minimums based on TPE level as follows: 0-99 TPE: $500,000 100-149 TPE: $1,000,000 150-249 TPE: $2,000,000 250-349 TPE: $3,250,000 350-449 TPE: $4,750,000 450-500 TPE: $6,500,000 -These numbers are not maximums and can be higher. -Max contract value is 12 million per year. -Contracts will be adjusted if TPE levels have changed each off-season. The cut off date for TPE is at week's end of the draft. Any TPE that was earned before this will not be able to be claimed after the end of this week. -There are no minimum contract lengths for non rookie players. Rookie contracts carry a 2 season minimum. -Maximum contract length is 3 seasons. Cap is 55m at the moment. And we have about 15 or so users per team? I don't know how either of those things relate to the salary cap. Just because it'd be hard doesn't mean it shouldn't be done ![]() |
