(S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - PigSnout - 05-03-2018 A player I would love to team up with is Angus Winchester. Tweed and Winchester are the two linebackers with the most sacks this season. Imagine if they were lining up on opposite sides of the same defenses. With the Wraiths already leading the league in sacks, imagine what their defense would look like if they could add another elite pass rusher in Winchester. Between Tweed and Winchester, opposing quarterbacks would never have time to throw the ball and it would be nearly impossible for anybody to move the ball against the Wraiths. With Winchester, the Wraiths would become the clear favorites to win the Ultimus this season and could have even had the potential to go 14-0 if he were added earlier in the season. Adding Angus Winchester to the current Wraith's defense would make it arguably the most talented defensive unit in NSFL history with the combination of a monstrous front seven and an elite secondary. Simply getting to see that team in action on the field would be a ton of fun. Also getting to play with timeconsumer would be a great experience, being in the same locker room as someone with so much knowledge about the sim and different player builds would be a great opportunity to learn more about the workings of the sim and his gameplanning advice could help bring an already talented Wraiths team to a new level. A trade like this is unlikely to happen, but it's fun to think about. Quote:249 Words (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - Vikain - 05-04-2018 A player that I would love to play with would be Bubba Nuck. I played with him at the start of our careers in Season 1 but after the expansion draft took me away from him ![]() (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - Toasty - 05-04-2018 For my trade PT I am going to do a trade between the, argueabley the the best team in the league, Orange County Otters and, probably the worst team in the league, the Colorado Yeti. The Colorado Yeti will trade Wide Reciever Mark Grau (the S7 NSFL 3rd Overall pick), and Linebacker Ryan LeFarve, and Quarterback Ryan Applehort (the S7 NSFL 7th Overall pick), and S8 1st, ad S9 1st, and S10 2nd for Orange County Otters Quarteback Mike Boss and Mason Brown (the 8th Overall pick in the NSFL S7 draft) and a S9 2nd. I see Yeti doing this trade because they have three great wide recievers in Dwayne Aaron and {Insert Wide Reciever} and Mark Grau so they will trade the lowest TPE of them. The Otters will be giving up their quarterback Mike Boss so they give up Ryan Applehort who they traded up from the 2nd round to the first to get the young quarterback because they thought Otters would take him. The Otters are giving up a very talented linebacker in Mason Brown (Yes, this is my way of saying now after a ton of thought I would be willing to play for Mememastro and Sapp to try to turn the team around) so the Yeti say lets just swap our 1st round Linebacker picks (Ryan LeFarve). The Yeti were trying hard for Winchester but he wants to retire an Otter. The picks, to be honest right now, were litterally pick at random but the Otters are giving up a very good quarterback for a young under-performing quarterback. And the Otters have to give up a 2nd because they are trying to help the Yeti stay on top because Mike Boss is gettign close to retirement. If this trade happened I would shit my pants. (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - 7hawk77 - 05-04-2018 (05-03-2018, 07:36 AM)PDXBaller Wrote:One player that I’ve always respected was Dan Miller (@7hawk77). Miller was a top defensive tackle for the Sabercats and he played a critical part in their S6 success that saw the Sabercats tie the Otters for the best record in the league that season at 11-3. Miller was one of the strongest defensive tackles in the league and showcased supreme run stuffing capabilities every season. Last season, he was the top DT in tackles with 53 and tied Angus Winchester for most sacks with 18! That’s an insane number of sacks for a DT. I’ve always dreamed of playing with a player of his caliber and ability to stuff the run and manage to find his way to the quarterback on a consistent basis. If you had a defensive line that consisted of Eli Kamaka and Dan Miller, we could easily tie up 4 of the offensive linemen ourselves clearing the way for the pass rushers to blast through the line to the quarterback. I was also a fan of the Sabercats and have always considered them a sister team in the ASFC. It’s a shame to see that Miller won’t finish his career in San Jose, having been traded to the Yeti but I’m glad he’ll finish out his career as a top DT. If anyone ever passes me up in career stats. It better bet you. (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - Vulgar - 05-04-2018 Ever since I was a young noodle, I have dreamed about making it into the NSFL and playing for Liberty. They are quite the classy organization, and I always loved visiting the stadium as a kid. Making my run through the DSFL now, I picture myself stepping out of that tunnel at Taco Bell Stadium. Standing under the lights and seeing all the fans and people that got me to where I am today. I've dreamed for a long time about this day. The Philly fans are incredible, and the city is so rich in history. This is the city where I want my home to be. From a football standpoint, I think I would be a great asset for any team that takes me, but having the chance to work with and learn from Eli Kamaka would be a dream come true. He's an incredible talent on the defensive line and I admire his work ethic. I think I could learn a lot from him and I would love to see what the two of us could do to an offensive line. These are the things I think about while sitting in my room here in Portland. I can't wait to be living my dream, waiting outside of Geno's for a philly cheesteak. 213 Words ![]() (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - Leafer - 05-04-2018 I would love to play for the Colorado Yeti. Why? Because it is simple. If I were to be drafted or gone to the Yeti, I would be back to my original position and play quarterback. And do you know how hard Roenick worked his ass off to being a great, wait no not just great but a legendary quarterback? Better than Mike Boss. And besides, Roenick was better than the current QB the yeti had and Roenick would have gone to the Yeti. Also in addition, people would not whine like assholes and tell in front of my face that I was the chosen one. Yeah well what am I suppose to do, sit back relax and watch the fucking game which I want to be in but noo because Blocksdale is better than Roenick. If I played for the Yeti, I would automatically be the best QB in franchise history and that is a damn fact. Now Hawks are a nice team and Roenick as LB is working out nice but Roenick as a QB is a natural thing and the bottom line is him as QB is like him returning home because Roenick dreamed of throwing balls at people. (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - Dawegg - 05-04-2018 I would like to think that playing for the Arizona Outlaws could be a rewarding experience. Growing up, they weren't my favorite team, but they have a history of winning and success. Their background cannot be underestimated or discarded; a team that has won three Ultimus championships proves themselves a winning franchise. They might be going through a downswing right now, but with Bronko getting up there in age there is a decent opportunity to succeed with them should I be given the chance. I'm sure that despite some controversy, they have a locker room steeped in tradition with a legacy. They are an older team, and I believe that being around guys who have been in the league for a long period of time could give me some valuable insights. I would be the focal point of the team and granted the ability to retool the offense and see the team improve. I establish myself in my own right while staying true to what the team has been and will continue to be. Some team's are unable to offer the same luxury. The Outlaws aren't my end all be all destination, but they are definitely worthy of being in my eyes, an ideal place to find myself. Quote:Word Count: 208 (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - speculadora - 05-04-2018 What team do I want to play for? Easy question. The one I am currently on. Oh yes, I know. The idea is to imagine yourself of a different team. I don't care. I close my eyes and all I see is purple. Sometimes with teal. Sometimes with gold. The insinuation that I could even pretend I am on another team is insulting. I am incapable of such wretched, unproductive thoughts. You might as well ask me to pick the Yeti over the New Orleans Second Line in my weekly predictions. Ain't gonna happen. Instead, I will just talk about why the New Orleans Second Line is such a great team. One, we have the man, the myth, the legend Bovo. He is so amazing that he is willing to put his butt hole on the line to shit talk the Yeti. You can't buy that kind of person. Next, we have AsylumParty. He is so loyal to things that he won't even change his Discord avatar. A true team player. Then we have Payton, who honestly kind of sucks and is the only reason I didn't break a bunch of things when asked to fathom playing for another team. We also have tbone, JuOSU, AdamS, Beaver, and now (drum roll please) Mifflin! No wait, Muford. The only thing that could make this crew better is if we traded Payton for bezkerszkape. Oh well, nothing is perfect. (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - TheMemeMaestro - 05-05-2018 I would like to start this out by saying that I love the Yeti and will continue my promise of not leaving this team until we win a championship. However, once we do I might decide to retire as a GM and extend my horizons. After all, I have been on the Yeti for my entire time in the NSFL, including Season 2. A team that I would love to go to would be the Baltimore Hawks. First of all, they loved my brother there and I would hopefully be welcomed in with the same open arms. Secondly, I already know that I like a lot of the guys. slm is amazing, I love Trey Willie and Raven, and I also like Leafer, and even manicmav from our very short discussions we have had about updating. Overall, the Hawks might be an amazing destination, and might be where I want my recreate to end up if I am not the Yeti GM at the time that I end up making my recreate. I just hope that the stars align and the Hawks are able to make me their pick when I am available. They are my 2nd favorite team in the league, behind the Yeti of course. (S7) - PT 4 - Trade Deadline - run_CMC - 05-05-2018 Who would you most like to play with... this is a tough question for Jackson because a lot of the players he admires and thinks he could learn the most from are kickers and punters. However, the only reason any National Simulation Football League team would have two kicker/punters is if one is about to lose their starting job (or job in general). Therefore, while Jackson would love to hang out and train with legends like Turk Turkleton and Stephen Harris in the offseason, being on a team with them isn’t his favorite idea. Instead, Dean Jackson would love to be on a roster with Johnathon Saint. The legendary Yeti linebacker embodies the “never quit” mantra that Jackson aspires to. Saint is a top LB who could fetch top dollar from any team, or win a ring with any contender. Is he contractually obligated to play for the Yeti? ....yes. But in S9 he has a player option, and I’ll bet he takes it. He has stuck with the Colorado Yeti organization through thick and thin, and- well, actually, let’s be honest, it’s pretty much entirely been thin. But, anyways, he’s stuck with the Yeti through 0-14 and more, and he is a true team player. Also just a cool dude. (211 words) |
