Official NFL Thread - Admin - 06-19-2017 Die hard Seahawks fan checking in. My wife and I are both massive fans, we go to a game every year, we saw them beat the Saints in the playoffs in Seattle. We went to the Super Bowl in Arizona where we lost to the Patriots on the famous last play, we were there. I was at the game where Drew Stanton was dancing on the sidelines, I was at the biggest win in the history of the Seahawks (vs the Cardinals 58-0). I was at the game where Jon Ryan got destroyed last season. Ive been to San Fran and watched the Seahawks beat the Niners in their new stadium in the Thanksgiving game where Sherman ate turkey on the logo. I went to the game in Lambeau last season where the Packers crushed my Seahawks. I love my team. I'm very excited for this season. The OL has to show improvement, the draft has me pumped on the DB and pass rush depth, and I dont care which runningback shows up, but I just hope one of Lacy, Rawls, or Prosise can have a great season. Its a TD or an Incompletion in all likelihood, and it was only 2nd down. It still crushes me ![]() Official NFL Thread - Bengals1Fan - 06-19-2017 (06-19-2017, 05:10 PM)Kendrick Wrote:To the guy who said the Bengals weren't a popular team. I disagree, I actually like the Bengals the most in their division. I just think they have disappointed a lot and until fans actually swallow their pride and face the facts, they will continue to always be lying to themselves about whether their team is good or not.The Bengals are 3/4 in the division on Social Media if that helps perspective that... the Ravens beat us... As for the Fans facing facts? Trust me, we all want to win more then enough games to make the AFC Championship or more. It's not our decision. Mike Brown doesn't call me each year and ask if I wanna fire Marvin or not... trust me. He doesnt, because if so, Mike Zimmer would have been our coach before he went to Minnesota. Or even Hue Jackson. I'm not lying to myself when the Bengals Defense has preformed worse than their showing in the regular season in 2011 to 2014 Post-Season games. Yeah, the franchise sucks, we all know that. I just think that we will make it happen this year. And I applaud your optimism because if you weren't, you'd kind of be a flake fan. So I understand you're hopeful and so you should be. My original comment was that the Bengals are "Constantly Disappointing", which they are considering their history. You guys may not remember the franchise before you started following football, but it hasn't at all been that successful. What does that have to do with their success? I know it's not your decision man, you'd be crazy to think I was even suggesting that. I solely stated that the Bengals constantly disappoint and have been for their entire franchise history. 50 years and not much to show for it. That's all I said, you guys took it out of the way for some reason. Official NFL Thread - Bengals1Fan - 06-19-2017 (06-19-2017, 08:24 PM)Kendrick Wrote:I don't understand the Social Media comment. What does that have to do with their success?SM was about their popularity. Bengals have a way to go trust me I agree, but saying we're unsuccessful because Jerry Rice and the 49ers beat us twice on a huge stage and we haven't made it back is a bit ignorant. Saying only one team is successful per year is ignorant. When I mentioned me liking the Bengals from that division that was to shoot down the other guy who told me I hated them haha. How is that ignorant? 50 seasons and not much to show for it. You just pointed out two seasons. What about the other 48 seasons? Never said one team being successful per year is the thing. Just saying making the playoffs 14 of 50 years is 28%. My comment still rings true. Official NFL Thread - Noppadet - 06-19-2017 To be fair the Bengals should have beat the Steelers a year or two back in the playoffs. Burfict and Jones just had colossal fuckups and the team fell apart much like the Falcons in the super bowl when the game should have been in the bag. Some of that goes on Marvin Lewis of course. One NFL change I'd like to see is playing the conference in full + one non-conference every year, rather than 8 divisional games, 8 non divisional games. It gives slightly strong teams in a weak conference a lot of leeway to get into the playoffs over teams that may be better. |
