(S18) - PT3 - Halloween - RavensFanFromOntario - 11-01-2019 For Halloween this year, my character is dressing up as Dave. Dave, weirdly looking like exactly like Tormund Bjornsson with a pair of hipster glasses and a generic name tag, is terrifying in his normality. The mundane and boring life of being a regular person and having to deal with the day to day situation of a 9-5 job, a plain wife, boring, ignorant and ungrateful kids scared Tormund to the bone. Naturally, he presumed everybody else would understand this obvious allegory about the horrors of the "regular life" such that non-footballers live. He was headed out to the DSFL rookie party in hopes of getting absolutely wasted to forget his pretend shitty life. Upon arrival, many mocked that the San Antonio Marshals had so much talent and yet underperformed, but Tormund was not Tormund tonight, and thus did not care about the mocking. He took it in silence, merely pointing to his name tag, as if to let them know he was not the person they were looking for. You see, Dave had been a Las Vegas Legion fan, and he was used to disappointment like no other. Watching a minor league team play slightly worse than expected would phase him not at all. He had watched his favourite squad disintegrate in front of his very eyes. Dave cared not at all, and just got absolutely wasted. He considers it to be a not-so-great use of time, however, this year his teammates were really into it. So he agreed to go as Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad. The first thing you need for a Jesse Pinkman costume is the yellow hazmat suit. You can pair that with a gas mask, and you are good to go. Nacho prefers the costumes that take very little effort since he's not a huge fan of the holiday. His teammates, on the other hand, are huge fans. Newly acquired Thudd Kassel went as Pennywise from IT Chapter Two. Nacho figures he must have spent several dozen hours on the costume as it appeared to be all handmade. Poor Baxter Frost was scared out of his mind when he jumped out at him at the party. Some say his leg will never be the same, but we all know that's not true, his leg is nigh-invincible. Lots of Philly Cheesesteaks could be had at the party, among other tasty treats. Nacho tried to cater Los Pollos Hermanos but was shot down due to the team getting pretty tired of the fast food chicken chain. All in all, Nacho enjoyed himself quite a bit on this Halloween. (S18) - PT3 - Halloween - Eco - 11-01-2019 I won't be going out for Halloween this year because it is on a Thursday night! We have a very important game coming up, and I cannot risk going out, getting smashed and missing practice the next day. That being said I am a nerd. I have so many favorite characters from various franchises I would love to dress up as. For starters, I love Assassin's Creed and would love to dress up as Ezio. I would put on a white cape and have fake blades that roll out from my sleeves. Another character that I would love to dress up as is Rick from Rick and Morty. I would just put on a blue wig and a white lab coat and that's it. Well, obviously I would have to drink till I pass out and torture a teammate who is dressed up as Morty (probably Corvo Havran). Another one that I would like to try is Thrall from Warcraft, but I feel like that would require too much effort. I would have to paint my whole body in green and go shop for some sort of armor and a huge ass hammer. I am sure it would look pretty dope but I am just lazy and don't really like body paint. (S18) - PT3 - Halloween - Jiggly_333 - 11-01-2019 Guys, I think we know where this is going. I have two players in sim leagues. They are canonically dating. They are both girls. One is an outright rebel with a dead dad while the other is more of the closet punk with daddy issues. Rose Jenkins is dressed up as Rachel Amber from Life is Strange and Dottie Morimura is dressed up as Chloe Price from Life is Strange. To be completely honest, Dottie's backstory is based in part on Chloe. The whole dead dad thing is usually a trope that I avoid because it's an overused and easy to create form of trauma for characters to have. If you're not in the PBE and want a quick update on how Rosie's bae is doing, she's just made the playoffs for the first time and is finally an elite batter. Finally pulling her weight and earning her godawful massive $19M per season contract. The small connection I'm saying Rosie has to Rachel is that she has some daddy issues. She went against his wishes by becoming a QB instead of a kicker. She chose to go to NIU instead of Oregon. She didn't go to Orange County. The major difference though is that Rosie's developed a really great relationship with her mother. She still trains with her on the ice to build endurance and if I end up writing an article soon it'll probably be about that. ![]() (S18) - PT3 - Halloween - Mavfatha - 11-01-2019 PBE CW (S18) - PT3 - Halloween - Shadowz - 11-01-2019 Ruff Ruff is going to go as himself in a football jersey for this Halloween. While he is at most times the goodest boi both on and off the field, his stellar performance last season padded his ego quite a bit, and after struggling a bit this season, he wanted to be reminded of just how good of a boy he is. So on Halloween night he fully plans on strutting his stuff down the main street of San Antonio, wagging h is tail to the fullest, and receiving pets from anybody so lucky to be graced by his shiny and spotless fur coat. His favorite people to take pictures with out on the street are the children of San Antonio, because not only do they give elite level pats on the head, but also because sometimes they are dressed up as Ruff Ruff himself--giving him finally some other dogs to play with (everyone else assumes he wants to be around humans all the time). Also, other people who are dressed up in football player costumes often bring a football, so he can play fetch with them without people trying to tackle him left and right. All in all, while Ruff Ruff going as himself may be a bit of an ego move, it is important for the pupper to reiterate his standing in the National Simulation Football League as the first ever canine player.
