(S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - terriblehippo - 12-27-2019 Code: 263 words So Bode makes it a point to return home every holiday season, and this year was no different. He and his fiancee caught a flight out of New Orleans as soon as they could, and were met at the airport in Anchorage by Bode's parents. They spent the next few days simply relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Bode's parents had obviously met his fiancee before, and she had made this same trip with him several times before, but this was her first time in Anchorage as his fiancee, which made the trip even more special. Bode loved having the opportunity to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the life of a football star. Of course, that doesn't mean he wasn't occasionally stopped and asked for pictures and autographs, and he happily fulfilled all of those requests. But spending time in his hometown allowed him a chance to relax and to simply be a normal bear again. For those few precious days, he wasn't Quenton Bode, star linebacker for the New Orleans Second Line. Instead, he was allowed to be Quenton, and that change in perspective was just the break he needed. (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - ADwyer87 - 12-28-2019 Christmas is a somber time for Sunnycursed. His parents were always jerks and pushed him to be an NSFL player just like their idol Stormblessed. He instead spends Christmas in the practice facility training trying to always keep improving his game and hopefully make the Hall of Fame one day Now, getting off that depressing note, lets get onto a very happy note. That note is New Years Eve, objectively a top 3 holiday in US history. Why is that? The alcohol is plenty, the celebration is hard, and the reason is arbitrary. After all, we are only celebrating us buying new calendars! The only 3 that are in the same league are Thanksgiving (just an excuse to eat food), 4th of July (beer, fireworks, and Murica!), and Cinco de Mayo (not even our holiday, we just steal it so we have a socially acceptable day to take lots of tequila shots). The boys in Yellowknife always make sure to go crazy on New Years Eve, especially since there's nothing else to do in Northern Canada besides drink until you are finally warm. We all have already fornicated with every woman in Yellowknife, since there are not many of them, But im sure we wont mind getting a few brewskies and going back for round 2. Ol' Brenda is always ready to put out! (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - HalfEatenOnionBagel - 12-28-2019 Every Holiday season, Achilles Hondo returns home to Atlanta, Georgia to spend time with his family. He's got a huge family, probably something like 100 people show up and somehow cram into his parents' home. If they're lucky they can keep everyone happy for at least a few hours before someone gets into an argument. Everyone in the family comes from all around to gather for a big feast. I'm talking greens, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, ham, lamb, you name it. Of course, Achilles takes a lot of time to help out his community during this time of year too; it's not just all fun and games and making merry at this time of year. He started a charity some time ago called Caroling for Kids to help serve underprivileged youth in the Atlanta area. Achilles and his colleagues go to various locales in Atlanta singing carols and raising money for the kids. Hard to say that they sound any good but hey it's for charity so nobody really cares at the end of the day. With this being his last season in the league, Achilles is planning to return to Atlanta for good where he can start making more of an impact for the community than just during the Holidays. (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - AW13 - 12-28-2019 It's the most wonderful time of the year and that is no different for San Jose's young rookie receiver Deondre Thomas-Fox. During the holidays, he spends some time with teammates but also has used some money to buy his mom a flight out to San Jose from Atlanta, Georgia to spend the holidays. He also gifted his mother a brand new car that will be waiting for her at her house just outside of Atlanta as he purchased her a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe. It is the least he can do for the woman who raised him. While Fox will spending most of his time with his mother for the holidays, there will be other team functions as well like a big holiday breakfast at the facility as well as some other events. Christmas time is one to spend with family and friends and that is definitely what Thomas-Fox plans to do. The young quarterback turned wide receiver is having a rough season so far in San Jose but he is a rookie and the team should continually get better. Thomas-Fox is a big part of San Jose's future and he plans to give them all he has and that is his Christmas gift to the fans of the San Jose Sabercats. Happy holidays to the national simulation football league! (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Jonny2x - 12-28-2019 PT Pass (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - CDub2 - 12-28-2019 This season has been a strange one for Mike. There is plenty to be thankful for. He has a great family and really enjoys spending time away from football and relaxing with friends. He is also very thankful to be playing football because it is such a great and fun sport to play. There are some negatives, like being away from home, the long practice hours, and the grind of rebuilding, but it is all worth it in the long run. The best Christmas present Mike received this year was that he doesn’t play for the Philadelphia Liberty. That would absolutely ruin the year and life in general. People hate on Chicago, but at least it’s not the dumpster fire that is the Liberty. If the league contracts, please contract out the Liberty. Only good could come from that. Here’s hoping that that is Mike’s Christmas present next year. If not league contraction and the dissolution of the team, at least HO could stop rigging the sim for them and allow them to rightfully occupy the basement of the league. Getting sick of watching them win games unjustly. They don’t deserve any of the success they’ve had so far. It’s disappointing. Chicago deserves more. Heck, even San Jose deserves better. 211 (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Lowlycrib - 12-28-2019 Tyron Brackenridge has always been big into gifts and providing joy to those that he loves. One of his favorite parts of Christmas would include the gift giving that he meticulously plans throughout the year. Some of the gifts for his teammates would include a rule book for Brayden Ennis, gold chains for Action Jackson, target practice set for Dan Wright, and a monthly pass to the local buffett joint for Cameron Olsen. Although the season of giving brings joy to himself he also enjoys spending time with both his actual family and his football family, which he hopes will continue to grow throughout his time in the league. Although he is disappointed not to have made the playoffs the last few seasons it provides him with the opportunity to return back to Canada and spend time with his family over the Christmas holidays and truly relax after another grueling season. The food that comes along with the holidays is another aspect that makes the holidays even better as he is able to load up on some homemade cooking and enjoy some of the traditional items that come along with it, except eggnog because it is disgusting and should be outlawed everywhere. Lastly, Brackenridge wishes to give back to all the fans that have supported him everywhere throughout his young career and hopes to return the favour one day. (229) (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - RainDelay - 12-28-2019 Christmas came early in Myrtle Beach this season, as they closed out the year with three straight wins. While that sort of result might have gift enough for the fans and the players, there were still many festivities in store. For one, the team had a massive Christmas party at the team headquarters. It was actually quite fun, there was plenty of food and drink to go around. Holiday cheer was in the air. The players who have just been signed by the Buccaneers had an opportunity to bond with their new friends before they are eventually drafted by different teams. That’s the sad part of this all, is that the team is so closely knit yet it will look very different next season. Some of the stars will be called up to their NSFL teams, and some of the newbies will leave for other DSFL teams. But for now, the team loves one another and everyone is having a great time. This holiday break is exactly what the team needed, fueling up both literally and figuratively for a big playoff push. Hopefully this will all result in the glory of an Ultimini trophy! Tijuana and the other DSFL teams are the only thing standing in the way. (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - karl - 12-28-2019 shl s51 pt5 claim (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - JuOSu - 12-28-2019 SHL PT |
