Anyway, the first candidate is none other than the incredible Inspectah Deck - line backer. Now, he's not a S21 guy, but that doesn't matter because he lit up the field this season with a very impressive 14 sacks. With that he stands head and shoulders above anyone else in the DSFL this season as his next closest competition only has 9. Add to that fact that he is top five in total tackles (111) and top ten in in TFL's (10) and he is a real candidate for defensive player of the year, linebacker of the year at the very least. The second Luchador that I wanted to highlight is Jordan McCann III, a S17 player actually who, now that I think of it is almost certainly inactive. Nevertheless, he has had a great season as he leads the league in receiving yards (599) and has the largest ypc of any player that has caught at least 3 passes on the season. His 4 touchdowns put him tied for second and top 6 in the league. Altogether he should be a strong candidate for WROTY. Code: 245 (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - ScorpXCracker - 02-13-2020 Tequila Sunrise should be the wide receiver of the year this year in the DSFl Tequila is my teammate on the Norfolk Seawolves and is definitely deserving of WRoTY this year. Tequila right now leads the league in receiving yards of all active players in the league this year. Tequila has a very impressive 50 receptions and is averaging 11 yards per catch, and has snagged a very nice three touchdowns to top that off. Another Seawolf that deserves an award is Juniped Catfish, who deserves performance of the year in week 8 against the Kansas City Coyotes. Juniped had 162 yards in that game which is very, very impressive, but becomes absurd is when you see that he had only 16 carries in this game. That is a 10 yards per carry!!!!! This ypc is ridiculous, and at first glance you can chalk it up to the 57 yard run, which would definitely boost your ypc, but if you take that run away Juni would have a 7 ypc, which is also very good. To top that off, Juniped had two touchdowns, making this far and away the best performance of this year and it is not even close. (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - fballturkey - 02-13-2020 My Oscar for best supporting cast goes to Baby Yoda and Brehio, the wind beneath Rick Skuff’s wings. Without their 30 carries a game to soften up the defense how would I have a chance to shine with my 10? Without their excellent efficiency at yards per carry and touchdowns the D would be able to key in on big ole me at FB. Without their blazing speed how would my change up of a running style fool anyone? Some less discerning folk might think that I’m the one supporting them, but let’s look at the facts. Who is higher profile, the closer or the reliever? The closer of course. But who throws more pitches? The reliever. But instead of just being a closer I sprinkle my fewer carries throughout the game. Such versatility! When breeding thoroughbreds you must use two horses, the sire and the teasing stallion. Yes, the teasing stallion does most of the pumping, but can you name great teasing stallions through history? This makes them another great example of a supporting cast. But I’m getting off topic, this is about Yoda and Brehio. When I’m too hung over, too tired or too ineffective to take the carry, there they always are. When I eat too many hot dogs at half time and need a quarter and a half to recover, there they are. In important moments of the game where skill and ability matter, there they are. And for that I say thank you to my two greatest supporters (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - Bauer - 02-13-2020 PBE PT (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - KillaScrilla - 02-13-2020 PBE (S20) - PT4 - Awards Season - Pieanator - 02-14-2020 If there is any one player amongst the many talented young gentlemen and ladies that make up the roster of the Norfolk Seawolves that deserve an award, it is none-other than the magnificent and wonderful Juniped Catfish. Juniped is a running back, and leads our offense to victory time and time again with his quick feet and even quicker wit. The Norfolk Seawolves GM, Scorp, awards gameballs after each bout to the most accomlished player on the team, and Juniped has received several already, showing he is truly among the most elite running backs in all of the DSFL. In our battle with the cowardly and traitorous Kansas City Coyotes, he ran for 162 yards on only 10 attempts, ending with over 10 yards for each carry, a truly momentous accomplishment that many would be jealous of even coming near. This scrap also left the polite young man with two touchdowns in his pocket, something to be proud of for sure! He also received a game ball in Week 5, wherein he had 110 yards with a sweet 5.5 yards for each attempt. In conclusion, Juni is very quick and very speedy, and should be up for much consideration when award time rears its head on our fine league.
