(S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - IsaStarcrossed - 03-24-2020 I couldn't imagine a scenario in which the season was canceled at this point. At 8-0 with New Orleans, the worst we could do this season is as good as any team I've been a part of. I've never really experienced this level of dominance or what it was like to be the top team in the league during my stay here, so to lose that so suddenly and have corona take even that from me would be devastating. That said, if it became the worst case scenario, then as Ironside I would do my part to insure I helped quarantine and isolate the virus. I would likely return to the mountains with my bear brothers and return to training. Every season I go train, every season I get better. As such I'd see this as a chance for an extended session with my bear brothers and perhaps invite a few of my teammates to do the same. We'd be alone and isolated in the frigid wastes and be able to train apart from the rest of the world. Then when football finally resumed, we would be able to hit the ground running and take the league by storm once more. We always have to look forward and keep rolling and the only way to do that is to stay in top shape and be prepared for what comes next! (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - morsy - 03-24-2020 I hope the season won‘t get canceled, we‘re like the last bit of entertainment left in the world. Anyway, in the hypothetical case it were to happen, I‘d be damned pissed that I didn't get to finish my rookie season in the DSFL. I think my team, the Minnesota Grey Ducks, and I personally have more to offer than we were able to show so far in the season. We look like a mediocre team when I‘m sure we have what it takes to win another Ultimini. I‘m also sure it would help if I got some more tape for the NSFL scouts to watch. I haven‘t even score a touchdown yet! Would be a shame if my highlight reel didn't even have a score, just a lot of unnecessary penalties I caused. I wouldn't spend my time any differently if the league was suspended, though. When I‘m home I work out a lot or watch tape, I could still do that. I guess we could start a Madden DSFL and NSFL league to determine this year‘s Ultimus and Ultimini winners, if there was no way we could find a winner in real matches. Let‘s just hope this ordeal will be over soon and we can back to thinking that Football is the most important thing in the world. (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - DynamicDoug - 03-24-2020 If the NSFL and DSFL closed their doors due to the virus, I'm not entirely sure what I would end up doing with myself. Obviously I would continue on my meal plans, weight routines, watching game film and cardio so I am ready to pick up wherever we left off, but I would find it very hard to fill my free time. You see, many of the players have said that they would just create themselves on madden and play a franchise like that, but offensive lineman suffer the same predjudices there as they do looking for pro bowl spots, in that it is not possible. It could even raise the question as to whether the Madden developers and the pro bowl selectors are the same people. This deep-seated and insitutionalised prejudice needs to change, so that offensive linemen arent bored at home during quarantine. Between being able to play as a offensive lineman in Madden, and having old pro bowl tape to watch, thats a solid few days of entertainment for a player, without that, we may have no choice but to break isolation just out of the deep seated need to pancake a motherf*cker. So ladies and gentlemen, you see, by not having offensive linemen in the pro bowl, you are literally spreading COVID-19. Do the right thing and vote OL for Pro Bowl in the next rules summit. #WeShallFightInTheTrenches (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - TropicaliaCC - 03-24-2020 If the NSFL decided to suspend the season there would be riots, and the epicenter would be the Orange County Otter Locker Room. After we had performed a successful coup on HO we would run the league from atop a strict fascist organization. Have you ever played a sports video game franchise and turned on Force Trade? Well, that’s what the NSFL would look like in a post-HO era. Nero Alexander, Mo Berry, Forrest Gump? Don’t mind if we do. The other option would be to just accept that we are all inevitably doomed and gear up for a post-apocalyptic world. I think we would send a lot of pictures of our pets to pass the time though. From Dexter Banks’ perspective, he would be incredibly pissed off. The guy is finally having a good season for the first time since his rookie year and the season gets called off? Yikes, you can expect a lot of mean-spirited tweets at HO’s expense. Dexter has had incredible team success with 2 Ulimuses in 3 years, but he has yet to live up to his expectations of individual statistics. In a quarantine situation, I can imagine that Banks would find solace at the bottom of a bottle. It would be a very dangerous situation for the Orange County star. (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - ValorX77 - 03-24-2020 It’s hard to imagine the National Simulation Football League with a suspended season, it’ll definitely affect the everyday life’s of the players of this fine league. Ryan Leaf Jr is not an exception, as he first stocks up on necessary essential items like hand sanitizer (made by the leaf cola company of course), groceries, preferably Kroger, because he despises Safeway’s prices for ripping off customers, while Kroger gives discounts to National Simulation Football League players. Leaf does not have any good relationships with his teammates in Chicago, so he frequently video calls his fellow S15 players and plays random games with them. The first of which is called jackbox, a series of hilarious party games, where people can come up with the most stupid answers in the universe and still get the question right. The next step is to play board games like Risk, monopoly, which created leaf’s most unusual punchline "Do not pass go, do not collect your TPE, and go straight to Head Office for your punishment." Finally, Leaf does his usual workout routine at his mansion in Honolulu, which is 200 pushups, 400 curl ups, 2500 pound weight lift, and finally, a 12 mile run around of his courtyard, a pretty hard workout. He has always dreamed of playing professional football, and has finally made it. He thought he would play wide receiver at the professional level, but he found cornerback to be a natural fit when switching over to defense in high school. In the free time gained by a cancelled season, I would spend time outside playing disc golf. These rounds would have to be played solo in order to conform to the social distancing policies, but I could continue to stay active and fit by playing one of the few sports that can be played alone. This sport promotes quick-twitch movement, explosiveness, creativity, and mental toughness. Bouncing back from a bad throw, bad hole, or a missed putt is important in order to save a round. Like disc golfers, cornerbacks must have short memories, bouncing back from giving up a long catch or a touchdown. The rest of my time would be spent training my miniature schnauzer. She is smart and athletic, and she now has an agility course set up in our backyard. She and I would work on weaving through the slaloms, jumping over hurdles, and running through tunnels! (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - sreddy969 - 03-24-2020 A shutdown of the league in his debut year, Shawn Ansari would sadly have to return home to the Greater St. Louis area which is in complete chaos due to the quarantine. Without access to basic needs such as liquor stores, the native population has become quite upset. Certain areas near I-70 have decided to let anarchy rule. As such, Shawn has decided to completely self-isolate with his family for safety. Luckily, his family has invested in a home gym, so Shawn can continue his training. Shawn's dad has decided he will be Shawn's training partner, something Shawn knows will end in hilarity. Shawn mainly wants to focus on getting more agile and become a better blocker. In his free time, which he has plenty of, Shawn has decided to link back up with some old high school friends through Halo and Madden. To keep in touch with his fellow Ducks, Shawn has joined the discord server for his teammates so they can continue having meetings and limited practice. Overall, Shawn is taking this self-quarantine time to relax and do things he previously enjoyed. Unfortunately, he is unable to visit his favorites spots, the St. Louis Zoo or Science Center due to closures. (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - Isidore94 - 03-24-2020 If the NSFL and DSFL shut down, I would firstly take my angry comments to twitter and curse out HO as one does when they have intense emotions and need an irrational outlet. I would then contact my LR and organize a riot, where we take to the streets (at proper social distance) and let the world know how we were robbed of an ultimini. That’s right, the London Royals will win the Ultimini this year so long as the Beer Aids keeps its distance from the glory that is the NSFL/DSFL. After our riot was promptly shut down, we would take to our homes and load up a variety of multiplayer games, like the nerds that we all are. The recent fad, Jackbox games, would be a mainstay in our LR. We would organize a spreadsheet and every week, the player with least number of wins would forfeit that week’s salary to supply the team with mountain dew and Doritos for the week. Finally, as a contingency, if one player lost so much that they had no money at all, we, as a team would organize a fund to help lobby the government to allow a football player who makes 5 million a season to go on welfare. Upon hearing on this announcement, Quinn wouldn’t be that mad. There’s always more pick 6’s to put on my stat line for next year. (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - Raheem James - 03-24-2020 If the NSFL canceled for the coronavirus, I would be bummed out. I would still stay in peak fitness though I would work out the whole time grinding for the next season. I would then just try to stay in the right mindset maybe visit my teammates just to catch up on what they been doing. I would be stuck watching tv and just working out. Maybe try a new hobby like card games or maybe just play video games. I would try to spend as much time as I can with my family and friends and just wait for the whole thing to blow off. Hopefully, this never happens tho I would be so tired and would have to play football all by myself and that’s not fun at all. I love playing football and the NSFL being canceled may make me join a new league. But then those leagues would be closed to because the NSFL closed so I hope that never happens, but if it does I am prepared and ready for it come at bro. Just kidding please don’t cancel the season I am having too good of a year for it to be canceled and I know others are too so please don’t. |
