HO handled this the right way. They had a quick response and ultimately did not force anything on anybody. I'm a little disappointed that the Butchers war room rejected HO's pick as I do believe HO did their due diligence with it and picked somebody that would help steer Chicago back onto the right path. Just want to say great work to all those in HO involved in this process.

Do I really want to weigh in? Well in for a penny in for a pound.
I agree that HO can't force somebody on Chicago, but maybe they picked the wrong person to offer to them in the 1st place, or offered a couple of options?
I believe the whole of the Chicago LR is voting on their next GM (but I could be wrong), and I know there are at least 2 different very experienced candidates who in my eyes could turn the ship around. However if Chicago now pick the wrong person then they will have no one else to blame.
I really hope that Chicago is turned around.

Okay I wouldn’t have a problem with what Chicago’s doing here if I didn’t know the history behind this. Jiggly told me this when I was researching my Chicago article: “During this time I was desperately holding onto the team not because I wanted power, but because I just wanted a team in Chicago. I was obsessed with keeping the team. I was continually mocked by the rest of the league in the GM chat to the point where there were people calling for my team to be contracted.”
Sound familiar? This is the Chicago Blues happening all over again, but this time Oles is also pushing back against the team being relocated and rebranded. In my eyes this is why a player who has been a GM at both the DSFL and NSFL levels was rejected for a lack of experience.
Last time HO put their foot down and forced Jiggly out, but I don’t see that happening this time, so let’s hope they make the right choice. However, I highly doubt they will at this rate. There’s a reason Slm (who was on the HO that forced jiggly out of Chicago once already) is posting messages critical of HO in this thread. If I’m HO and their next pick isn’t a good one, I’m taking over the search and installing a candidate of our choice. We already know how that appeal will go, and Chicago war room won’t like that...
