Loyal people will leave, but it will not matter. Having 100 people coming in per season is what matters to them. Keeping the vets is not their priority.

Who cares about the quality of experience when you can just get a bunch of new people with no perspective to base the shittiness of things off of. I wanted to reply in the other thread, since it seems like things haven't changed a lick since I quit, but it was locked. Too bad that HO seems to think shitting on certain users is still OK, I was thinking about coming back.

It's never going to be perfect, because members of HO and GMs of teams have skin in the game. They have their own players in the league so biases are always going to be prevalent.

There are grudges among users that are painfully obvious to people and people being people are gonna bitch to HO about the slightest thing to get on their good side and to get the people they hate in trouble.

I don't want to rehash old things but you take a look at Jeff's punishment of "tampering" a player to retire his inactive player on a team to come back and be active for a different team that was drafted in the 5th round when every other team had a chance to pick him 4 times over..

vs

the punishment for Bex (again, no judgement, this is just for example sake) who only lost one year of commish status, and was voted back by members she worked with because the reasoning was "well, there's no one else to do it"

As long as not every team is represented in HO or as long as members of HO or any disciplinary team have skin the game (ie, players on teams) it's never going to be objective.

It's just gonna be same shit different pile year over year, and punishments are gonna be a little harsher to those who angtonize HO rather than just accepting it for what it is

I hope you reconsider. No matter what your thoughts are about certain users, i'm sure most of the people here are cool to talk to. And if you feel like HO is doing a bad job, what better way to be active and help improve stuff?

I've tried to stay mostly out of this since I have skin in this game and don't want to get too entangled in all this. The tampering punishment has absolutely nothing to do with the draft. That is totally irrelevant. The punishment came from telling a player who was on another team (whether IA or not) to retire specifically to deprive that team of the player. That is, by itself, tampering regardless of what did or did not happen in the draft.

You realize you're comparing apples and oranges right? Jeff's punishment was because he tampered a player. At no point has Bex ever been investigated for tampering. She was the supposed target of potential tampering. You're trying to compare a tampering punishment to a not tampering punishment.
