RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - SomeSay... - 12-15-2020 Written Option: Your GM has asked everyone on the team to spend some time contributing to the community over the holidays. Where or how would your player spend their time volunteering? Would we find them in a children’s hospital meeting some kids, serving meals at the soup kitchen, or somewhere else? Would they volunteer alone, or with their teammates? Well, Our GMs have asked to spend the holiday giving back to our communities. Luckily, I will be flying home from Berlin to spend the holidays with my family and friends. So, I will be in town and able to give back to those who once gave me so much. Now, unfortunately, I am going to be doing things a bit different this year, we already have so much going on with my personal charity and the humanitarian effort they are accomplishing that I wanted to go do something close to my heart. So, first thing I did was call up my local animal rescues and find out what they needed most, that being food, dog beds, blankets, whatever I could find and buy to help support them. So, after gathering the information we will head over to all the local pet locations and stores to gather the necessary items. Then we will take a few days to deliver the items to our local animal shelters. Also, I will be taking a few hours each day that I am home to, walk dogs, and put on a PAWTOGRAPH session, to raise awareness of adopt don’t shop. Humans are not the only ones who have needs this time a year. So, why not do something impactful and different. Moving to Australia to join the Buccaneers means that he is a long way from home so he will be spending his Christmas Day giving back to the community that the team is in. This will include going to visit children who are in the hospital on Christmas Day. He will spend some time talking to them and also bring along some gifts that they can enjoy including a Game Worn Jersey and tickets to a Buccaneers game that they can come to when they’re feeling better! He will also go to a local children’s home and organise some training sessions for the kids who don’t have a family to spend the day with. The chance to learn from a Professional could be a nice experience for the kids on what could be a sad day otherwise! James knows that Christmas is about the people that are around you and so he will be doing everything he can to help the people who are so loyal to his team. It will be a unique day for him but also he is hoping it is one that will give him a new perspective! Total word count: 214 words! Like, she really does not like people. When the press gets too close to her she growls. Not even in a cringey way, but a genuinely terrifying “This girl is clearly unhinged and might actually tear my face off” way. So, even when ordered to “help her community”, Fukushuu isn’t exactly gonna go out and do stuff for people. But she is a nature person. Her alleged hometown is Yakushima Island, a small island way deep in the south of Japan between Okinawa and Kyushu known for being essentially one giant rain forest preserve. Fukushuu has been known to sporadically show up to community gardens all over Baltimore to help with planting, she has a record of volunteering with the parks’ service in the Belt Woods just a couple hours south of Baltimore, and also volunteers at animal shelters in Baltimore. While she doesn’t change anything about her stoic, aggressive, and stand-off-ish demeanor towards people, Fukushuu is very popular among cats. In the winter, Fukushuu has been seen leaving out food for the local strays around the Hawks’ stadium and training facilities. This season however, she was forced to be an elf for the team’s “Picture with Santa” event. She was immediately removed from the area after too many children were crying after she looked at them. RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - Opera_Phantom - 12-15-2020 Jay Cue has had enough of contributing to the community through social institutions. After years and years of giving back to a lot of the corporations in the Arizona area, and it was not pocket change and, more importantly, also not a low amount of his personal time, it seems like many of those groups just count on his goodwill as a granted thing. This means that Cue and his lawyers found out that some "big shots" decided to take h.is contributions for a personal gain, remodeling their homes, buying fancy new cars, having expensive dinners with their mistresses, and this meant that all the money that was supposed to go to helping people in need, was spent in stupid stuff. In other words, fraud that Cue will take to the last consequences to see them prosecuted. So, now, to avoid those situations, Cue just selects random families in need and helps them directly, no greedy middle man. Cue also is a part of the Make a Wish Foundation, where he is probably going to soon beat John Cena in the top of the ranking in wishes granted. After a lot of years since he was drafted into Arizona, he is an integral part of the community. With a population of only about 20k people the team is very community oriented. The winter months are exceptionally brutal with temperatures regularly dipping below -25F. Blizzards often dump feet of snow onto Yellowknife. To keep the community running, the Wraiths players help out with snow removal. Douglas Quaid along with the other linebackers and linemen push snow plows all over town. The big guys on the team are worked like pack mules. There’s not enough machines to go around, luckily snow can be removed with muscle power. Last winter the team cleared about 100 miles of roadway. Safe travel means a lot. That effort saved the citizens of Yellowknife thousands of hours of labor and potentially millions of dollars in damages from accidents and injuries. A local news team caught up to Quaid’s group during one of their plowing sessions. Quaid said “this work benefits everybody all around, we help the city while getting in a killer workout and acclimatizing to this cold weather.” This is volunteer work of course, the fans essentially pay for player salaries through their support so it’s always nice to see a team give back to the community off the football field.
