With the second season of the SFL heading near it's half way point, the big surprise has been the 3-2 start from the San Jose Sabrecats. Nobody truly expected the Cats to start off with the big start that they had, especially being two points away from beating the Yellowknife Wraiths.

One of the key driving players for the Sabrecats season has been Ethan Hunt. His eight touchdowns currently lead the league, as well as his QB rating of 93.6, which is nearly 20 points ahead of number two. Many people believe that due to his antics in the locker room that he will eventually lose out the starting role to Christian Adams, who has shown a lot of promise. However, due to his season, it's very safe to say that he will survive the season as San Jose's starting quarterback.

The bold prediction of the season will be Hunt leading the league in passing yards by the end of the season, and being rewarded with a new contract with the Sabrecats. There have been hints that Hunt may not leave next season, albeit very small hints. But, this is a point task where I'm supposed to make a bold prediction, so here it is.

Ethan Hunt stays a Sabrecat past this season.

[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Meet The New Boss, Same as the Old Boss...Or is He?[/div]

I predict Mike Boss finishes the league with the most yards, highest completion percentage, highest QB rating, and most passing touchdowns in the league. Season 2 is the season of the Boss. Mike Boss is like the real Boss, Bruce Springsteen, except instead of being Born to Run, Boss was Born to Pass. After a rough start in season 1 Boss is about to be let loose against the defenses of the NSFL and shred opposing secondaries. Sure, he'll toss some interceptions, we're not working miracles here in Orange County. Boss will distinguish himself with a high YPA due to his surgical accuracy and top-tier receiving squad led by the duo of Bradley Westfield and Robert Phelps. And let's not forget about the new young gun receiver in the slot or the old, reliable George Wright, who is not just a blocker anymore.

Yes, what it comes down to is that Orange County is not the same team you saw last season. The league and the expansion have forced changes, but the versatility of the Otters will allow them to use one of their greatest and most underrated players in Mike Boss to throw bombs and missiles on their way to an Ultimus Cup championship. Cause CHAMPS like us, baby we were born to WIN.

I predict Cristiano Ronaldo finishes this season with the best kicking stats of any kicker. Last season Ronaldo joined up late and was not able to maximize his potential by playing an entire season. He also missed out on practices and missing key parts of the team building. Now Ronaldo has a whole season of practice building his skill and techniques of kicking a football not a soccer ball. In this season Ronaldo is going to show people his true powers. To go along with this Ronaldo is kicking more than ever. In this season I predict he will finish with the most net punting average in the league. Ronaldo is also doing more then just punting he is also doing field goals. Because of this Ronaldo is learning even more skills and these will drive him to also perfect that part of his game. I predict Ronaldo finishes the league with the most points scored in the entire NSFL and also kicks a game winning field goal to win a playoff game, most likely the Ultimus champions game. This is because Ronaldo is a big part of the Outlaws with his big kicks of such long yards that put his team in a good place on the field to prevent scoring.

This guy's bold prediction? Otters win it all.

Now I know what you're thinking; is that really bold? They're a playoff team so winning the Ultimate Cup shouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. But the fact is, the Otters are off to a slow start. Obviously this is only the beginning of the season defending Outlaws and rising Sabercats are both off to a hot start, whereas the Otters aren't even above .500 yet. So if the Otters are out to win it all, it's going to be a tough road, but here's how they do it:

1) Rely on the arm of Mike Boss: I know, I know. Mike Boss has been an interception machine when he's out on that field. But the fact is that man is a bona-fide winner. Something in his blood just screams potential. They need to prioritize the air game because, simply put, their running backs can only carry them so far.

2) Make more plays on defense: That defense is full of stars, but not a lot of plays are made compared to the Outlaws who are in a similar position. Something needs to change with that defensive play calling and I'll leave it to the coaches to find out.

And just like that, the Otters might be able to bring a trophy home.

Tonight, I will be making a bold prediction. I would even go so far as to call it the boldest of predictions. I like to say - as our nation's president might say - everybody knows I make the boldest predictions; my predictions are great; many experts have enjoyed my predictions, but I digress. The bold prediction that I have for you guys here right now, tonight, is a bold one indeed. Some people may criticize this statement, saying that the prediction is, in fact, too bold for our humble, but steadily growing, league. Members of this league may be offended, repulsed, insulted, disgruntled, or put off by this prediction to I will lay forth before the eyes of the league on this calm, cool, August night, a night that, by all other indications, was completely normal. Except this prediction. That prediction is as follows: Many players in the National Simulation football league will begin to use even more outlandish strategies to meet word counts while putting in minimum effort. One way they may do this is by taking a word that could have been said once and using many alternates, substitutes, alternatives, equivalents, or synonyms to replace it and pad the word count. I however, will never do any such thing.

the orange county otter are gonna make the playoff this year but they will have a worse record then the hawks or the Philadelphia liberty. The otters team is on the down and the two teams I talk about are on the up slope. The otter will make the playoff but they wont be able to go on from that. Eventually the otter will not be considered a top team in the league because they are not a lot of depth on the team but have lots of skill people at top but they are dying off and going away. If the otters want to be good in the future they must find ways to keep players that are good at the positions they are strong at playing for the teams and active in the nsfl and locker room. I think the otters still have some of the best players at some positions but they don’t have enough of the best players at positions to make up for the not so good players at the other positions. Maybe the otters could change this problem if they do good in the next few drafts that come up. This is my bold prediction for season 2 and the future of the nsfl and the otters.
