RE: (S32) PT 2 - Overreactions - teddyoojo - 11-16-2021 Ok so, the first overreaction would be pointing out how freaking good bernd d brots first season in the ISFl has been so far. Being the WR3 behind 2 high tpe legends of the wraiths, expectations have been rather low. however already in 2 out of the first 5 games, bernd das been the #1 receiving option for the young wraiths QB. through the first couple games being on pace for a 1k season is pretty impressive for an immediate callup wr3. The second overreation on my end would be how terrible the wraiths are, o m g this team is so bad like wtf didnt even win any of the first 4 games, like starting the season 0-4 who the hell does that. This is obviously a very bad overreaction because everyone knows yellowknife is best and will return to former glory in the coming seasons. While this season may not pan out the way the young wraiths were hoping it would be, its quite understandable that with a young QB in his first season and a general very young team, despite some old souls still leading the young guns, this season was more of a rebuilding season than a contention season. 202 words RE: (S32) PT 2 - Overreactions - Minnesotafine - 11-16-2021 SHL PT (Username is Bfine) RE: (S32) PT 2 - Overreactions - shrub02 - 11-16-2021 After the first 5 weeks of the season, OCO has started off with a 1-4. Not great, but also not the worst as some talking heads had us going 0-16. Suck on that haters. We knew coming into the season that we are not the best team, TPE wise, but we have some of the league's best young talent. We're gearing up to take over in the not too distant future. Just you wait. As far ass Bender goes, he's having a pretty solid season so far. He is slacking a bit in tackle numbers, but that's ok. He was top 5 in tackles the past 2 seasons and didn't receive any consideration for awards or pro bowl. So if he takes a back seat in tackling to get other "game changing" stats, that's fine by me. He currently leads the league in TFL and is up there in sacks. Watch this be the season that voters decide that tackles are important :kekw: Code: 163 words RE: (S32) PT 2 - Overreactions - PugWalrus - 11-16-2021 Portland's first game could not have been a better start to the season. With a 28-10 blowout of Minnesota, only made closer by a garbage time TD from the Grey Ducks. The defense otherwise held their potent offense led by Lalu Zohri Muhammad to 3 points for the majority of the game. With the offense putting on a show. Last season, the Pythons had some serious issues on offense, and the loss of their primary wide reciever Tay Swizzle to call-ups didn't make matters any better. So This season, our team's draft put a heavy emphasis on offense, and that choice looks like it's paying serious dividends. With rookies Landyn Reyes and The Stig scoring two touchdowns each, and fellow rookie wide receiver DeAndre King having a productive game, getting us into the redzone on multiple occasions. However, a blowout win against Minnesota is exactly how our season began last season, and we ended up falling short down the stretch. So this season we'll have to make sure we keep up our production and turn our offense into a potent force to go up against. Sarasota's fallen into the abyss of sim luck, bad penalties, and incompletions killing drives at the worst times. The rush defense is also appalling, giving up an average of over 100 a game. But there is enough talent here to make the playoffs if things go right. Mike Boss is still a reasonable quarterback, Stumpy Jones is one of the more destructive blockers in the league, and theres still some sacking potential in the defense. Saleem Spence, on the other hand, is so far on pace for his best ever season. In 5 games he has caught 31 for 358 and 4 touchdowns. If this maintains over a 16 game season, he'll be able to get 99 receptions for 1145 yards and 12 touchdowns. Spence also has a 54.8% 1st down rate, meaning a lot of his receptions impact the game in some form. RE: (S32) PT 2 - Overreactions - Fronk - 11-16-2021 The first 5!? weeks have officially come and gone for the ISFL and there are a few enlightening things to point out. The Sarasota Sailfish dropped their first three games. I’m not sure if these games were expected to be losses or just bad sim luck, but it has been concerning. Luckily, Sarasota turned some things around and were able to pick up some wins against the Chicago Butchers and the Berlin Fire Salamanders. Both decent wins on teams experiencing upswings in their team builds. I am not sure how the season will progress as we get into the meat of the season. We have some young gunners on defense that are constantly updating and improving, but we are also a team of old dudes that experience regression in the worst ways. One big point is at QB. Each week that the team has played so far, you can see the simple passing attempts to wide open receivers fall short of their mark. This may be the factor that holds back the fishe this season. When it comes to myself, I am not sure what to expect as the season progresses. Huntsman is continuing to max earn and getting closer to capping each attribute. The yards will hopefully come. We keep adding ball carriers in the draft and FA so that is a bit concerning. Our LR during games is pretty stagnant as well outside the 3-4 regulars. That being said, there is a good chance New Orleans will remain at the bottom (or near the bottom) of the ASFC at the end of the season. Now, they do have the potential to end the year at .500, as they still have some studs on their team that maybe just haven't found the mojo needed to get to the next step. But, their offense isn't going to work if it only works on the run. Their run game is good, but their pass game is near the bottom and their offense isn't putting up enough points to win games. Their run defense is also bottom of the league. Now, these may be only surface comments, but the numbers don't lie. New Orleans is not good right now, and unless they work some things out, it is going to stay that way.
