Do people who speak Louisiana french actually spell go like that? Go is spelled... go in regular french.

Also, the ending of french words make no sense 99% of the time. I was taught that a lot of useless letters, like the x or the l or the t that are silent and therefore add nothing to the word were made popular by monks who recopied texts and were paid by the letter.

No they don't. It's just a cultural thing that was held on to. So like they might call a bistro a bistreaux more just as a this is louisiana and it makes us unique.

However, no one would use that in an essay or something like that

I see. I don't know much about Louisiana to be honest so it was entirely possible the spelling of the french dialect was different there.
