Im also fairly certain that when Hunt threw the game winning 30 yard touchdown pass on the last play of the game week 2 against the Wraiths, the reason the WR had nobody close to him was because of this play

That play was Dime Press Blanket. It isn't a Blitz but a lot of the defensive backs end up defending the flat. So the corner covering Weston started here:

and ran here:

Which he then started to make his way back up the field and the safety started coming over, but it was too little, too late:

Disregard that, was thinking of the Philly game.

The play was 43U Corner Blitz. I read it. I've watched this play 1000 times. This play is normally less dangerous than the rest of the corner blitzes because often the safety makes his way over. But yes, it most certainly was a corner blitz play.

Here's what that play looks like in the game file:

<Play Freq="5" Formation="D43Under" Name="43U Corner Blitz">
<Slot ID="0" Action="Rush" /> DE
<Slot ID="1" Action="Rush" /> DT
<Slot ID="2" Action="Rush" /> DT
<Slot ID="3" Action="Rush" /> DE
<Slot ID="4" Action="Cover" /> SLB
<Slot ID="5" Action="DeepZone" /> ILB
<Slot ID="6" Action="DeepZone" /> WLB
<Slot ID="7" Action="Cover" /> RCB
<Slot ID="8" Action="Blitz" /> LCB
<Slot ID="9" Action="Flat" /> FS
<Slot ID="10" Action="Flat"/> SS
</Play>

Yeah, just watched it, was thinking of the Philly game I covered. Sorry, I've got the flu and my head isn't all there right now.

Awesome that you can get that info. What's weird to me is that it has the Will and Mike covering Deep Zone and not the Safeties, who are covering the flat. That's an incredibly dangerous playcall.

It's actually very common for the sim to put the LBs in deep zone coverage.

I didn't realize that. Seems like an odd choice to me.

The sim has a lot of really dumb plays. Like please tell me how this is even remotely similar to a Tampa 2? Tampa 2 is a variation on Cover 3 with the two safeties playing deep thirds while the Mike goes up the pipe to cover the center third deep. Here it's Sam and Mike playing deep zone and the safeties are in man coverage...

<Play Freq="5" Formation="Nickel" Name="NB Tampa2">
<Slot ID="0" Action="Rush" />
<Slot ID="1" Action="Rush" />
<Slot ID="2" Action="Rush" />
<Slot ID="3" Action="Rush" />

My guess is that the devs have to do a bit more homework on what plays are and the frequency at which they are called.
