When the new league file is uploaded, create that as a new league and then just do exhibitions without progressing the seasons. Problem solved.

Problem solved.As far as I know you can't do that. The league file has the progressions and seasons baked into it. The only way to do that is export the players and import them into a new file.

Ah, that could be. I'm still fairly new with the sim. That plan should work. It might take a little more work on your end, but at least it should be doable!
