(S8) - PT 3 - What if - Zoone16 - 06-09-2018 There is always the obvious answer that I keep churning out, the big “What If LeClair had stayed at QB instead of position switching?”. And chances are I would’ve been more invested in the league as a whole had that occurred. Performance wise I would’ve definitely been a much better choice than busts like Pierno or Bercovici (remember him?). If I could have changed anything during my career, I would’ve invested more heavily into speed early on, instead of going with a balanced approach. I would have also put more TPE into Strength rather than Agility as it has proven to be a better attribute than I thought for a Wide Receiver. Performance wise I think those changes would’ve helped me get more yards and TDs in my career. Although performance is also relative to the team as a whole and spending a few seasons on the defunct (or relocated) Las Vegas Legion certainly did not help with that in my regards. The 3rd what-if would be what if I hadn’t been traded to the Legion and stayed on the Wraiths? Chances are I would’ve stayed behind Garden until he decided to test free agency at which point I would’ve had a few seasons as the #1 receiver on the team. With how much of a ball hog Garden was early on, that would’ve made my overall stats probably worse in the long run. (234 words) (S8) - PT 3 - What if - Durden - 06-09-2018 It's hard to speak about what if scenarios because I'm so young. I've been in the league for a season and a half so there's not much that could be changed. I'm glad that I was initially drafted by the Tijuana Luchadores, and I'm equally excited to have been drafted by the Arizona Outlaws. I'm happy with where my player is at currently for skills, although I wish I was doing better in the sim itself. I'd like to be not dropping so many passes, and actually contributing more to the team. I know I'm young and inexperienced, but it doesn't make it any easier to handle mentally. I'm glad I have a decent quarterback throwing me the ball, and I just need to work on me a bit. I guess if there's truly anything I wish I could go back and change it would be to complete some of the optional trainings that I missed out on. I know that I could be better than I am right now, even if it's only marginally. But to be honest, I'm happy where I am. I have support, and a long career in front of me. It can only go up from here. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - DeathOnReddit - 06-09-2018 I wish I was a WR. I know im the best DL in the entire league right now (stats dont lie fools) but I've always just wanted to go out there and see my guy catch the ball. It's easy stats, and unlike DE where I have to rage over the fact the guy just ran through my little circle, the only thing i need to worry about with WR is dropping a ball. And I would never do that of course because Im incredible. When i recreate after Asipi Jr retires I am definitely making a WR. I've never been a WR in any of the leagues I've been in so thats what I'm hoping to do. Right now Asipi Jr is having a good season, and if I could change another thing, it would be my strength. I feel like if I was stronger I would be able to go through the OL much much easier, and my numbers would be even better. But I am one of the fastest DL in the league and that is helping with getting to the QB and RB quicker than everyone else. Otherwise I'm happy with how I've been doing. Lets go Hawks, comeback time. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - keanex - 06-09-2018 I've thought about a lot of what ifs since I joined the league in season 6. What if I had gone more for a speed role and prioritized speed and endurance over all? Would I have demolished all DSFL receiving records in my second year? Would I have been drafted my a different team? Would we have still won the Ultimini? How about had I decided to stay wide receiver for the Yeti? Would we throw enough for me to get targets in the offense? Would I be an important piece of the team as a wide receiver 3 on a team averaging less than 250 yards passing per game? Would get be averaging more yards per game passing if I was? Would we be too one dimensional without a work horse running back? What if I had stayed a receiver, switched to that speed role and demanded a trade? Where would I have ended up? Would I be a key player on a team winning the championship? Would I have ended up on a team where I wasn't a fan of the locker room? What if I went for a more hybrid role as a receiving back instead of a speed back? Is being a speed back pigeon holing me into a singular role? A lot has changed and a lot could have changed in my short time in the league so far. It's really hard to know. All I can do is keep pushing forward and contributing to Yeti wins. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - dub - 06-09-2018 Quote:Must include 200 words. A lot of people have changes they'd make to their game if they could. What is something you would change about your player if you could change anything. Crindy fought back a profound, guttural laughter, trying to focus and listen. "And then I was like, I was just tryin'a help!" His chair creaked and he couldn't bring himself but a huge chest cavity laughter. He slapped his thigh hard and his diaphragm ached. He breathed in heavy for another laugh and his throat swelled. The tracking on the VCR blurred up from the bottom of the screen to the top as his throat burned. The sound of the locker room, was muted in a descending tone from the tracking, as a tear dropped from the tip of Crindy's nose. The championship locker room, in 1980s VHS color fidelity, of black and red locker rooms and a "1987 State championship" tee shirts stretched over shoulder pads. The shoulder-mounted camera rocked and shook in the maelstrom as the team's chants of "champ-yun-ship" escalated and bounced. A championship balloon popped, a chair collapsed under the weight of jumping cleats, a locker room was dented in the mosh of celebration. Then, the party calmed down, a voice above the din. "Ah ight, ah ight..." Coach Fournet stepped into the crowd, and as din calmed, a tracking band rolled up across the screen again. Then, a blur of static, and blue. The AV kid had been recording that whole time, then hit the record button, thinking he was going to capture the coach's celebration speech. Crindy furrowed his brow to back it back in his mind, as if it weren't three decades years ago. Coach Fournet simply wasn't there. The championship speech was gone. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - PaytonM34 - 06-09-2018 What if Brian Mills hadn't gone semi-inactive for the past month and a half. Maybe NOLA would be champions. Scratch that, NOLA is already champions, better than all you other scrub teams out there. Does your GM have the cutest pupper on the planet? Didn't think so, because NOLA does. Maybe if I hadn't been so inactive recently I would've stayed on as the Luchadores GM. Maybe the Luchadores would have won the Ultimini if i had more time to gameplan in S7. Scratch that again, the Luchadores are the single greatest DSFL team the world has ever seen. We got Nunc out there slingin mad gameplans out like crazy, and Ben Horne who i'm pretty sure has a PhD in football-ology out there bringing the locker room together. All you other DSFL teams cower to the sight of the mighty mexican team located in Tijuana. Oh and I didn't even mention that Brian Mills went #19 overall in Beezer's rankings. Had i not gone inactive , Brian Mills would be already inducted into the not yet formed Hall of Fame of the NSFL, with statues being built across the country. And don't even get me started on Flonkerton and how much more badass he would be if i was around to shoot fire bolts at whoever looked at Max the wrong way. dont @ me 222 words (S8) - PT 3 - What if - Leafer - 06-09-2018 One thing I would like Austin Roenick to change is his speed. Now being as a linebacker, it is very important to have high speed especially for a player defending. Roenick actually wanted to make track and field to be a sprinter because he was fast but someone from his course beat him for 1st and Roenick later on became an idiot and became a fatass instead of trying again. But if it were not for that, he would probably not have been a football player like today. Now Roenick does have the speed but he does not have elite speed which is something I would like changed, Too bad that cannot happen since its maxed out but if he was not a fatass and kept eating instead of working out, he would definitely be a different type of player. But another thing Roenick can change is better hands. He is a fatass but he does not use his hands is some cases. Obviously he has high amount of tackles which means high strength but he has yet to get an interception which pisses the hell out of me. It would be great for Roenick to get an interception because it can change his career. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - CDub2 - 06-10-2018 Pretty much, Cameron Taylor has done it all. He's had a good amount of sacks in the last couple of years. He consistently gets tackles. He earns a decent amount of TPE and he's been a contributor to one of the league's best defences. That being said, Taylor has never been able to be a consistently be a good pass defender. He gets maybe one or two PDs every couple of weeks. And then add on maybe Maximum of 3 INTs per year and you have a pretty average starting safety for the league. Taylor is now one of the highest TPE safeties in the league now. So for him to perform like an average defender is pretty disappointing. Last season, he had huge sack numbers, but safeties aren't usually sack monsters. A good safety is able to contribute to the defence once the ball has been thrown, not only get to the passer before it's released. There's no real attribute that could help contribute to INTs, but eventually the sim will have to reward Taylor for all the training he's put in. If you include the DSFL seasons, Taylor has maybe 5 career INTs in 4 seasons. That's pretty darn bad. 203 (S8) - PT 3 - What if - TheMemeMaestro - 06-10-2018 What if the OL bots never came into the NSFL and stole our jobs? Where would Antonio Sandoval be now if they didn't move him to the other side of the ball away from the position he had played his whole life? If I could change one thing about my player it would be that he never switches to DL. Although most Offensive Line players claimed that they absolutely hated playing it, I loved it. I was never very successful there but I don't know what it is, I just really liked it there. I can't really explain it but I just liked being the QB's line of protection that often determined whether or not we won. I guess I still battle in the trenches but there really is nothing quite like being on the protective side of those trenches, just using your strength to hold off the attackers for as long as you can in order to let your QB throw it, or let you RB run it. So although it may be an unpopular opinion in this league, I miss being an Offensive Lineman and if I had the choice in my career I would be an O-Lineman still. |
